What are the ways to prosper in life?
First way to prosper in life is by seeking the Kingdom of God and its righteousness.
This entails making God and his Kingdom the priority in scale of preference.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

This quoted verse asserts that the only way to prosper in all things is by seeking, worshipping, serving and living a godly lifestyle. Jesus Christ is the only way to God that gives prosperity and without Jesus Christ, there is no other way to the Father. The only truth is Jesus Christ because everything about Him is true, there’s no lie in him. All you need is to accept the lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ to know the way, truth and have prosper life.

God has given everyman potential to prosper in life if you utilize it very well. Love is so strong, powerful, abstract and unquantifiable. Love is the deep feeling that people’s happiness is very important to you and evidenced in the way you show this feeling in behavior, character and attitude towards them. You prove love by showing kindness and good gestures to someone.

By Giving

There is love in giving whatever you have to meet needs of people. Giving is a show of love and sharing whatever you have will put smile on people's face. You can give sacrificially, financially, materially, resourcefully, morally and mentally to help the needy and less privileged.

There is great reward for giving to the needy and poor. Giving is not all about money or material things, it also entails giving out your time, energy or strength, intellect, professionalism, experience and many more to guide, counsel, mentor, support, assist and the likes towards the progress of others.

Acts 20: 35
In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."


Service to Humanity

This entails rendering services to help people in the community by providing charitable care, social amenities, funds, scholarship, aids, assistance, sponsorship and being very active in social responsibility programmes. Service to humanity shows that the needy and poor are put into considering and God have great rewards for this kind gesture.

Psalm 41:1- 3
Happy are those who consider the poor; the Lord delivers them in the day of trouble. The Lord protects them and keeps them alive; they are called happy in the land. You do not give them up to the will of their enemies. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed; in their illness you heal all their infirmities.


Peaceful Co-existence

Peaceful co-existence can only be achieved and promoted if love exists among people. Love brings people together in peace and unity. The presence of love helps people to live together in peace without hatred and achieving common goals in occupation and activities will make them to co-exist.

Romans 12 :18
If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.


Unity

It is the state of being joined together. It takes love to make people share values, resources, culture, amenities and many more without racial discrimination. Racism should be discouraged because it is an unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race which always involve violent behavior towards them. Some people are well known for racial discrimination and a racist promotes hatred which is against the will of God to live together in unity.

Psalm 133:1
How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!


Good Neighborliness

A neighbor is someone that is next or near to you. Everybody is a neighbor and good neighborliness involves showing care to people by providing succor, help, assistance and giving out to meet their needs. If there is a neighbor in need that you can provide for his or her need, don’t hesitate to meet such need, it is a show of love.

Sharing of resources will also bring happiness to neighborhood. I don’t care attitude should be discouraged and pride is very ungodly. Underrating or downgrading neighbor because of social influence, riches, wealth possession and affluence without rendering help to the society is very ungodly and unloving.

Mark 12:31
The second is this, you should love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

We all need security for our lives and property which is the reason why people secure themselves against attack of armed robbers, invasion, insurgency, burglar, thief, intruder and many more. Security men, operatives, outfits are being employed for safety purpose apart from government security provision through police, military and other security agencies.
But, our God is the greatest watcher man that neither sleep nor slumber.

Psalm 121: 3 -4
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

God is the only man that can never fail to keep you from enemy’s attack, both physically and spiritually. He will not only secure your life from harm or danger, but also keep you alive.
To ensure adequate security of lives and property, formation of Security Associations and groups are used for protection of people in different location, territory, domain, community and society at large. Few to mention among security groups and associations are Odua People’s Congress (OPC), vigilante group and recent inaugurated Amotekun Security Operations in South Western region and others.
There has never been permanent solution to insecurity problem despite their campaign and activities. It is only security of God that is most reliable and dependable.

Psalm 127:1b
Except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

So also, external aggression and insurgency, Joint Task Force (JTF) created to ensure protection of citizens from attack of Boko Haram, kidnappers and other assailants especially in Northern region of Nigeria have not been able to achieve their objectives due to persistent attack, killings, kidnappings, massacre and many vices that is now prevalent.
But, there’s power in the hand of God to secure his own people and destroy these enemies.

Zachariah 2:5
For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Another form of security is fortification of environment, buildings, homes, structures and properties against external attacks by using sophisticated door or lock, bullet proof vehicles, armored protection and others. Surveillance system has also been adopted to watch over their environment and vicinity via CCTV in an enclosed room purpose to detect or discover intrusion or incursion by enemies. All these are not comparable to his security provision; his name is a shield to the righteous.

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Moreover, security officers or personnels are fully employed or contracted to ensure proper security is ensured and they work on 24 hours daily surveillance duty.

Psalm 20: 7.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

It simply means that only the name of God can secure and putting trust in mere mortals is suicidal.
The use of personal body guard, security aides and special operatives as full time watch men cannot be exempted from trust in arm of flesh. While some people put their trust in spiritual people, charm and others that will fail them.

Jeremiah 17:5-8
Thus saith the LORD; cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

There are certain responsibilities that Christians must undertake to really show that they are people of God. Christians are worshippers of God that belief so much in Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection. They worship God in truth and are followers of Jesus Christ as exemplified by the apostles of old when they were first recognized by people of Antioch as Christians.
Acts 11:26b
So it was that for an entire year they met with the Church and taught
a great many people and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians”.
The responsibilities of Christians are hereby explained below:

1.
Salt of the Earth

Christians are supposed be salt of the earth that bring sweetness into people’s life by helping people, showing love and care for the less privileged, encouraging the downtrodden and depressed, bringing hope to the hopeless, doing good and helping the helpless. Being salt entails following the example of Jesus Christ that never stop doing good during his sojourn here on earth.
Matthew 5:13.
You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled underfoot.
Therefore, if any Christian should lose his or her taste, he or she is no longer good for anything.

2.
Light of the World

God expects every Christian to become light to the whole world. Being a light is by letting people see your good works so that they may be drawn to God. Christian light must shine bright for the world to see and not hidden from them. Christians are supposed to be helping the helpless in the society not take from them.
Matthew 5: 14 - 16.
You are the light of the light of the world. A city built on a hill that cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
Good works that Christians must undertake involves charitable activities, preaching the word of God, godly lifestyle, holy and righteous living.

3.
Good Neighborliness

It is the responsibility of every Christian to show good neighborliness as commanded by God to love your neighbor like yourself. It is impossible to show good neighborliness without love because love is exemplified by caring for a neighbor by bringing smile into their faces.
Matthew 22: 39.
‘’You shall love your neighbor as yourself “.
This can be shown by sharing your facilities with your neighbor, providing for need of others in your vicinity, responding to emergency situations, providing succor and palliatives for those in pain or lack as a result of disaster or unforeseen circumstances, reckoning with the downcast, mentorship, sending word of encouragement and motivational messages to neighbor in sorrowful condition or bad situation.


4.
Proclaim the Good News

Jesus Christ mandated all his followers and Christian believers to proclaim the good news to the whole world. Proclaiming the good news entails sharing about Jesus Christ’s love, power, mission to the whole world so that they may not perish.
Mark 16:15 – 16.
And he said to them, ‘’Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.
It is the responsibility of every Christian to proclaim the message of God by using different medium of communication to reach out to people. 2Timothy 4:2. Proclaim the message: be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke and encourage with the uttermost patience in teaching.

5.
Worship God

Worshipping God is the sole responsibility of all Christian by seeking him all the time. God should be worshipped every day without restraint and special day of worship is Sunday service ordained for gathering of Christians and brethren in the Lord. Moreover, every believer and true Christians worship God every time in Spirit and truth.
John 4:24.
God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Worshipping God is another means of showing godliness in life of a Christian that enjoys special care and protection by God.
2Peter 2:9.
Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of punishment.

John 8:32.
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free”.

A person that does not know truth of a situation or issue will be misguided or derailed. Not knowing the truth of a matter or an issue will put someone in a dark position and it takes consistent effort to shed light, convince and enlighten purposely to ensure transfer process from ignorance to knowledge.
Nowadays, elites and knowledgeable people are now opportunist that prey on people’s ignorance to enrich themselves
which is very common in religious circuit. Luckily for this opportunists, the ignorant people are unwilling to find out the truth and most opportunist religious leaders, ministers, pastors, prophets and others take advantage of their ignorance by selling deception for financial gains and other benefits.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

A lot of issues are trending about Ministers and Spiritual leaders giving unholy instructions to members to undertake some ungodly practices such as purchase of anointing oil and other materials for prosperity, breakthrough, success and many more. So also, allowing a spiritual leader to touch their sensitive parts or sexual engagement for child birth (Women). False prophecies and predictions by some reputable religious leaders for personal gains and other insatiable purposes cannot be overemphasized. They are leading blinded congregation astray that obey their instructions, believe in their false prophecies and imitate their unholy and unbiblical activities. Especially, people that make them their role model, spiritual father, mentor, counselor are already derailed and some people see them as semi god to imitate.

1Corinthians 11: 1
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

Many people are already in the dark, but truth is illumination that will enlighten them by exposing details. Not knowing the truth will only put a person in bondage and such person is already tied down. Kind of bondage in this context are ignorance bondage, spiritual bondage and world bondage.
Ignorance Bondage involves lack of knowledge in particular area of study, issue, programme, project and many more that is of interest. A person that is in ignorance bondage cannot know truth because of blindness of heart and mind. Such person is in ignoramus state and always unreasonable in thought, behavior and action. Lack of knowledge is very detrimental and very dangerous to anyone already in this bondage.

Isaiah 5:13.
Therefore, my people go into exile without knowledge; their nobles are dying of hunger, and their multitude is parched with thirst.

An ignorant person can easily be persuaded or dissuaded by a knowledgeable person. Whenever there is general issue or discussion, only knowledgeable person will enlighten people on the said topical issue with expressions, convictions, solutions and recommendations.
Spiritual Bondage is not knowing about spiritual things, matters and activities. To escape this bondage, you have to spiritually guided by the Holy Spirit and Word of God. Whosoever does not have any spiritual knowledge cannot understand spiritual things because they are spiritually discerned.

1Corinthians 2:14
Those who are unspiritual do not receive the gifts of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to them, and they are unable to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Someone that is unspiritual cannot differentiate spiritual matter, issue, case from physical or worldly things because of spiritual ignorance. An unspiritual person will not understand spiritual revelation, visions or believe in real prophecy because of spiritual blindness. They need the Spirit of God to open up their mind and word of God is very necessary for spiritual knowledge.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

Spiritually blinded person is very easy to deceive with lies by false prophecies, fake ministers and untrue or unholy ministration. Unfortunately, many people are caught up with spiritual bondage because they are only religious not spiritual
World Bondage has to do with people already caught up with worldly affairs without having regard for Godly things. They believe in worldly achievement, riches, wealth accumulation, fame, fashion, money and ephemeral things. This kind of people are lustful and passionate about what the world will offer to them. They will do anything to get their lustful desire and entrapped by world bondage that involves running rat race for riches, wealth, clothing, posh cars, insatiable desire and urge for more greatness.

1John2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of Father is not in those who love the world.

This is very wrong and ungodly because we are commanded to love only God not the world. Whosoever loves the world is already in world bondage and such person will not have time to serve or worship God.

Mark 12: 30
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all you soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

To escape the world bondage, it is advisable to make God number one, know everything about him, worship him in truth and spirit without paving the way for false ministers and prophecies to penetrate.

Hosea 6:3
Let us know, let us press on to know the LORD; his appearing is as sure the dawn; he will come to us like the showers, like the spring rains that water the earth.
