Well OP, you did mot mention in your post that the phone has been re -rammed. The 2017 had a snapdragon 430 chipset, and this is packed with a much quicker 630 chipset. This was a major complain as users didn't understand why Nokia had to use the same chipset for the budget Nokia 5 on the Nokia 6. So that has been fixed, and the fingerprint sensor not spots on the rear, it also comes with usb type-c and yes, it now supports fast charge.

HMD Global is set to launch Nokia 6(2018) as an upgrade from last year's Nokia 6 smartphone. The device looks similar with its predecessor but few modifications in minor areas.

Some Nokia fans will be disappointed with this 2018 model because there is no edge-to-edge display and there is no dual camera either this phone. The main camera does have OZO audio recording for video.

This latest Nokia 6 model is powered by an Octa-core 2.2GHz processor and 4GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 7 Nougat but may receive update for newer versions later.

PRICE AND WHERE TO BUY NOKIA 6 (2018)

Once available, the phone will be expected to cost around *ďRs. 17,999 (About N102,000 in Nigeria). You can purchase it from accredited Nokia stores around you.

Jobs/Vacancies / FG Approves Additional N4500 As 150K Beneficiaries Confirms Payment Of N-power by Admin1992: 9:51am On Jan 06, 2018
An additional N4500 has been approved by the FG as a grant to purchase skill enhancing electronic gadgets for beneficiaries of the N-Power initiative.

The Federal Government has added an additional N4500 grant to the beneficiaries of the N-Power Volunteer Corps as 150,000 of the 200,000 engaged graduates have confirmed getting their N30,000 monthly stipends.

Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to the President, Office of the Vice President made this disclosure while giving an update today on the Social Investment Programmes of the Buhari administration.

Akande revealed that at the last count 149, 669 Nigerian graduates of the 200,000 engaged by the Federal Government under the N-Power Volunteer Corps are now collecting their monthly stipends of N30,000 monthly having been physically verified and deployed across the 36 states and FCT.

Explaining the new addition, Akande said the FG approved the additional N4500/monthly to all the 200,000 N-Power beneficiaries to purchase an electronic device which would be loaded with different applications that would further enhance the skills of the beneficiaries and afford them additional training opportunities during the two-year duration of the job program.

In his words: “This device grant is in conjunction with the Bank of Industry (BoI) who has extended an asset finance of 20 months to each of the 200,000 N-Power beneficiaries.

“While each of the beneficiaries after being verified would select their choice of device amongst nine different BOI pre-approved vendors, the price ranges from N3,000 to N6,700 monthly deductions for the next 20months.

“Therefore in some cases the N4500 device grant would cover the full monthly deduction cost while in other cases the graduate authorizes BOI to deduct the additional differential cost from their monthly stipends depending on the device chosen,” he said.

He said almost 100,000 graduate N-Power beneficiaries have completed their orders for the devices as at press time, adding that the Bank of Industry is in charge of effecting the orders made. The plan is to conduct the order of the devices in two batches of 100,000 each, one after the other.

Akande noted that 6 of the 9 BOI pre-approved vendors are indigenous local brands in pursuit of the Buhari administration’s push for Local Content.

On the remaining beneficiaries who are yet to collect their monthly stipends, Akande explained the reasons behind the delay.

“The balance 50,000 of the 200,000 beneficiaries engaged by the FG are those who so far could not be paid for various reasons. These include those who were disqualified during verification on the basis of age-over 35, and inadequate academic qualification. The N-Power is for university, polytechnics and College of Education graduates only. There were also some of the selected 200,000 who were ‘no shows’ meaning they simply did not report for verification at all,” he explained.

Explaining further, Akande said: “Others who could not be paid were those whose personal information details were faulty, including those whose marital status have changed. There are also those who used different names and differing personal information. And lastly there are also those whose banking information simply do not match with their BVN banking records.

“In the case of those whose marital status have changed, Akande explained that their information is now being updated through the various States and FCT Focal Persons and then they would be represented for payment. He also disclosed that those who have sought redeployment to other states are among the 50,000 and in such cases, they will be considered alongside those to be replaced from the N-Power waiting list where necessary.

“The process for the replacement of those who did not show up and those disqualified would also resume shortly to bring the number back to 200,000 for the first batch of the 500,000 promised by the Buhari administration,” he said.

It was further disclosed that all the 149,669 N-Power beneficiaries now collecting their stipends have been physically verified and deployed, while their given bank account information have also been matched with the Bank Verification Number.

The SSA said that, in December, about 112,475 of the N-Power graduate beneficiaries received the N30,000 monthly stipends, and the number came close to 150,000, both in January and February meaning about that number are now receiving their up-to-date stipends from the N-Power Volunteer Corps.

Akande also noted that now beneficiaries across the 36 States of the Federation, and the FCT have been verified, totaling the 150,000 figure.

I welcome you to the year 2018 by dropping an update to all the latest Glo data plan and codes to subscribe to them. As you already know, Glo is the Grand Masters of data as long as Nigeria is concerned as they are still the network with the best data plans although their network coverage is still an issue in most locations in the country.

This post contains all Glo daily, weekly, monthly, weekends and night data plans, the prices and codes to activate them in a simple manner for better understanding and easy to find so I urge you to bookmark or save this page for later reference as may need it as time goes on this year.

Among all the network providers in Nigeria, Glo is one of those that offers cheapest data plans even after reviewing their plans and downgrading it last year 2017, they still remain the best in terms of affordability.

In 2018, I don't see any other network beating Glo with the N1000 for 3.2GB monthly data plan and if any network should come with something more better, I believe Glo will strike back and release better offers. Note that this plan works on any smartphone including Android, Internet modem, Blackberry, IOS or Window powered-devices.

Computers / 5 Things You Must Consider When Buying A New Laptop/computer by Admin1992: 5:48am On Jan 02, 2018
Having enough money to shop for a laptop is one thing, whereas obtaining the most effective computer is another factor. The best is to choose that which will do what you want, and even do more, of what we expect of it.

I remember being among those aspiring to buy a laptop then, but due to lack of knowledge on how to get the best laptop, I ended up buying a laptop which didn't last long. So, for those aspiring to get a new laptop, here are 5 things you must consider when buying a new laptop/computer and I hope it will be useful.

There are lots of computers on the market which are of different brands, sizes, shapes, colors. And it won't be fair of me if I tell you 'this one is good' or 'this one is bad'. Simply because, what makes a computer look good to me might not be what make it look good to another person, and vice-versa.

In spite of that, there is one certain thing we all have in common; 'to buy a computer that can do all we want it to do'.

You might want to know; Why Your Phone Gets Hot And Drains Battery.

So, I will be sharing with you 5 cool tips on what to check out for before buying a computer. So as to get the best computer.

5 Things You Must Consider When Buying A New Laptop/Computer.

Brand - We all know that when it comes to buying Gadgets, brands like Samsung, Kodac, LG, Apple etc. As it all. But when it comes to buying computers, brands like HP, TOSHIBA, DELL, LENOVO and co as it all. It's very advisable you know much about the brand that is good for your goal as Brand is a key factor in a PC ability.

HDD Memory - Also known as Hard Disk Drive. This is where all your data will be stored into, be it documents, pictures, video, music etc. If you are buying a computer for business purpose, then you must go for a hard disk drive with larger storage. For me, I use 1 Petabytes. Don't ask me how I got it.

RAM Memory - Well known as Random Access Memory. It is also a storage device but not as large a the HDD memory. The main difference between the two memories is that the aforementioned memory is a permanent storage while the latter is a temporary storage. The Performance (i.e the speed) of a computer depends on the size of the RAM. Available RAM sizes are 2GB, 4GB, 8GB. But the most common RAM size is 4GB.

Processor - Technology is being improved every day. And the processors being used in the early computers will definitely not suit into nowadays computers. This is because the processor is the brain of the computer and one should endeavor to get a computer with a good processor. The most common types of processors are; Intel Core i7-8700K, AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, Intel Core i5-7600K(Best gaming CPU).

Graphics - Before now, I thought all computers have the same graphics but lately I noticed there was a difference. The graphics of a computer mostly rely on the operating system(OS) installed on the computer, but it is greatly determined by the brand of the computer and VGA card. (VGA - Video Graphic Adapter).
These are the things you must consider before buying a laptop/computer. You might also want to take a few minutes to know the kind of gadgets women loves to have.
You can as well check Konga store to browse on laptops.

Phones / Samsung Galaxy S9 Specification, Price And Release Date by Admin1992: 5:16am On Jan 02, 2018
All You Need To Know About Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus: Samsung Galaxy S9 Price, Specifications And Latest News.

One thing about this year is that it's a year full of leaks, regardless how hard the companies try to prevent the leaks but they just keep on popping up.

The most funniest part is that the unboxing video of OnePlus 5T was released before its official launch, a German blog also shared the images but unfortunately, they were asked to take it down.

Earlier, Samsung also found itself in the same situation whereas Samsung is planning to unveil their next smartphone in early 2018.

With the success of Galaxy S8 and Note8, Samsung is pretty confident with their S9. In a hardly surprising development, SamMobile has confirmed that there will be two versions of the Galaxy S9.

The site discovered two model numbers for the handset - G960FXXU0AQI5 and G965FXXU0AQI5 - the first of which allegedly belongs to the Galaxy S9, and the latter to the Galaxy S9 Plus. The report doesn't reveal much else about the upcoming flagships.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will come with Android 8.0 (Oreo) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (US) / Samsung Exynos (UK), 5.8 inch / 6.2 inch QHD + Super AMOLED curved display (570 ppi / 529 ppi), Cat 18 LTE support (1.2Gbps download speeds), Display embedded fingerprint scanner, Dual rear-facing camera, Bixby AI assistant with dedicated button and USB-C.

However, the only flaw with Galaxy S8 is fingerprint sensor which was placed beside the camera. So far, this is the only thing that everyone is complaining about. Hence, they are uncomfortable with it.

According to the news report from BGR, the fingerprint scanner will sit below the camera sensors on the S9, with a dual-flash separating them. This setup should be much easier to navigate with your finger.

Thus, Samsung is expected to fix the worst thing about the Galaxy S8 with the upcoming Galaxy S9. Early leaks suggest that Samsung has decided to reposition the handset’s fingerprint sensor, to make it easier to use.

There's A Possibility For Samsung To Launch Their Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus Much Earlier Than Expected At CES 2018, it has been reported. Rumours suggest that we might see a rear fingerprint scanner in Galaxy S9.

Regarding to the price, there has been no official announcements yet, if it's anything like the Galaxy S8 then the price could be around £689 and £779, which is approximately 920 US Dollars.

According to Samsung's official blog SamMobile claimed that the Galaxy S9 will be made available in four different colour options: black, gold, blue and purple. Last year, speculation had claimed that the Galaxy S8 would also launch in a purple variant, but this rumour never came to fruition.

SamMobile notes, however, that there's a "high chance" this isn't the final list of colours, adding that Orchid Gray and Arctic Silver could also turn out to be a part of the lineup.

SamMobile also reports that the Galaxy S9 will boast less bezel than its S8 predecessor. A tipster told the website that there could be a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio on Samsung's upcoming flagship, up from around 84 per cent on the Galaxy S8.

According to the report, this will mean that the bottom bezel is almost non-existent, potentially giving Samsung room to squeeze a large screen into the device.

Based on the news report from ETNews, the Galaxy S9 could pack a camera sensor capable of shooting 'super slow motion' footage at 1,000fps. It reports that the camera sensor will use stacked image sensing tech similar to the Sony Xperia XZ1, with the ability to temporarily store captured images on a DRAM chip in one of the layers. Samsung will start mass producing the '3-layered image sensor' in November, according to the report.
Also, ET News has debunked rumours that the Galaxy S9 will feature souped-up facial recognition technology similar to the iPhone X's Face ID, and has claimed that, instead, it'll feature the same iris scanning tech as the Galaxy S9. Don't expect an under screen fingerprint sensor, either, as the report notes that the S9 will feature a scanner on its rear. ThereThere
