my method is to add code is
options - advance options - sim card than i press and hold alt key and than write mep2 than a screen display to add code when i add code and press enter button it display error message.

according to your last message when i write mepd there is no changes display on screen.
i also try with to do connection off and with on option (manage connection - restore connection off or restore connection on) for all services
