Buhari fulfilled 90% of the 2007 agreements, and the exclusion of ASUU from IPPIS, which was a major disagreement at the time. So say something else.

Politics › Re: Who Lives Better: Income Of ₦1.5 Million In Nigeria Or $1,000 In The US? by ADUBA1(m): 2:06pm On Oct 25, 2025 |
It is ignorance. People also forget that it is never greener on the other side as everywhere has its unique challenge DoTheNeedful: I have been living in the US for almost a decade, and I can tell you that the value of $1,000 in the US is less than 90k in Nigeria.
It is surprising that many of you, including graduates, don't understand that you cannot just arbitrarily convert dollars or pounds to naira in this context.
You cannot start a family anywhere in the US with $1, 000. You would need at least a job that pays you $6,000 per month to think of marriage. An ideal monthly salary would be around $10,000.
With 1.5 million in Nigeria, you can afford to marry a jobless partner, support two children, and own a decent car.
You could eat out in Nigeria with 2k, but eating out in the US would cost you around 25 dollars (35k). I get a haircut every month for $50 (75k) in the US. In Nigeria, I could get the same haircut for around 1k.
If you have a baby in the US, you would need to spend around $2,000 (3 million) per month on day care. In Nigeria, you would pay maybe 50k.
I laugh each time I see some posts on social media converting people's salary in UK/US/CA to naira, thinking the naira equivalent of those figures have the same impact in those countries. It is unfortunate that some people have such mentality.
That being said, if you manage to have some savings in places like US and you bring such to Nigeria, you could tie up a project or more. |

GEJ too could not fufil the agreement signed, so as a result, ASUU went on strike twice under his regime.
And even then, salaries were not enough.
I am not here to defend APC or tinubu. But under GEJ, oil prices were high enough, and enough revenue was flowing into the country. Since 2015, oil has been below 75 dollars per barrel, except for a period between 2019-21, when it was above 90 dollars per barell..under GEJ from 2011-14, oil was above 110 dollars per barrel.
Even then, life was still bad for most people. That is why I always shout that if we diversify our economy, and even focus on exporting industrial goods...we could be earning money in the hundreds of billions of dollars, and even doing budgets of 400 billion dollars...not the 30 billion dollars we do now.
That is why APC is a failure. Diversification zero, industries zero.
But please , GEJ was not a good leader. Na tinubu with high oil prices. |

I am not disputing the fact that some rogue NAFDAC agents might be demanding bribes from the traders but before doing that, those they are demanding the money from must also have k leg goods.
That the demanding of N700k is from NAFDAC office, main one, I can never accept that |

Why waste your time explaining to that guy. He has never been on the side of truth. chiagozien: That why people are asking nafdac to tell Nigerians 700k they collected from traders what is for. And what it will be used for.
As a patriot Nigeria you claim, don't you want NAFDAC to make you understand what the money is for. From the NAFDAC you can see where they said some traders have complied to their terms, that only few individuals are trying to cause unrest.
They should have stated the terms.
From my receipt,I am 1348 person that have paid as of over three weeks ago I made payments. They do number receipt for opening shops.
They don't care if you're doing business with only 500k, just borrow money and pay them.
There are still thousands of shops still closed because they can't afford to pay or they are still in process of paying.

Politics › Re: The last Time A President came For Commissioning Was 2012 For A Brewery - Soludo by ADUBA1(m): 10:42pm On May 08, 2025 |
Soludo made a statement which some of us have to correct him during President Tinubu’s visit..
“The last time a president visited for a commissioning was in 2012 for a brewery” - Gov. Chukwuma Soludo
The statement is viewed as an attempt to attack Obi who Governor Soludo has never shy away from attacking at every opportunity right from 2023 Presidential election campaign.
Now let me set the record straight as a citizen of the state who have been following events in our state for years.
In 2012, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned: (1) Inaugurate Orient Petroleum Oil.
(2) SabMiller Brewery
(3) Orange Drugs Company
(4) Krisoral Company
(5) Onitsha Inland Port
(6) 8 lanes Onitsha Head Bridge Enugu Onitsha expressway to Umunya with new parts bridge Nkpor. Among others
Above listed are some of the triggers to economic growth of the state. I therefore state that the very statement from Soludo was demarketing of the state.
In 2010, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned:
(1) Anambra State University Teaching Hospital.
(2) Anambra State Secretariat
(3) Kenneth Dike Library
(4) Anambra State Emergency Management Complex
(5) Parental Drugs Factory of Juhel Pharmaceutical Industries
(6) so So many roads example : Zik’s Avenue Awka to Nkpor road and Bridges.
(7) the commissioning of the National Agency for Food, Drug, Administration and Control, NAFDAC’s upgraded ultra modern area quality control laboratory, at Agulu, Anambra State and many other projects.
President Obasanjo had earlier visited during Peter Obi era in 2006/2007. Projects Commissioned by President Olusegun Obasanjo are as follows:
(1) Onitsha Business Park: A strategic initiative aimed at boosting commerce and industry in the region.
(2) Revenue House in Awka: Established to improve the state's revenue collection processes.
(3) Anambra State Fire Service Headquarters in Awka: Built to enhance emergency response capabilities.
(4) Flagging off of Awka-Nibo-Nise-Enugwu Ukwu ring road
So it was sad to read Soludo said that what he said. I have being trying to read what my governor marketed to the visiting President or what he used the opportunity to market as the chief salesman of the state by virtue of his position as the governor, but I am so disappointed with his statement which did not add any value to the state.
