Kwara Poly Students Reject Tuition Increment (SEE New Approved Sch Fees for 2017/18 Session)

Students of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin have rejected school fee increment for fresh and returning students by the management of the institution for the 2017/18 academic session.

The aggrieved students described the tuition increment as an act of wickedness and called on the State government and management of the polytechnic to immediately reverse its decision on the newly introduced school fees.

The students, who went on social media to register their grievances against the new development have threatened to stage a protest if the management fails to accede to their demand.

Under the new fee regime released by the polytechnic management for the 2017/18 academic session, ND 1 fulltime students, who are indigenes of Kwara are to pay N62, 700 each, which is against the N52, 500 that was charged last session.

Approved school fees for 2017/18 session
For non-indigene ND 1 students, they are to pay a whooping N84, 200 as against the N72, 500 charged for the 2016/17 session. Additionally, the new students are also expected to pay acceptance fees of N5, 000 for indigenes and N7, 500 for non-indigenes.

Returning ND II fulltime students are to pay N52, 000 (indigenes) and N72, 000 for non-indigenes. For last session, ND II fulltime students (indigenes) paid N29, 500 while their non-indigene counterparts paid N32, 090.

The new approved school fees for HND 1 indigenous fulltime students is N69, 200 as against the N59, 000 that was charged last session and for the non-indigenes, they are to pay N89, 700 as against N76, 000 paid last year. The students are also expected to N5, 000 and N7, 500 as acceptance fee respectively.

For HND II fulltime students, indigenes are to pay N58, 500 and non-indigenes will pay N75, 500. This is against the N32, 700 and N35, 900 they respectively paid last session.

The Authority of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, invites all candidates who have applied for admission into the Institution for National Diploma (ND) for a Post-UTME screening exercise.

Eligibility
Candidates must have chosen Kwara State Polytechnic as their first or second choice and scored a minimum of 150 in the 2017 UTME.

Read Payment Instructions carefully and click on the Notification Tab.

-Click on CollegePay button to proceed to payment OR
-Click on Cancel button to terminate the payment process.
Make Payment
-Select your ATM card type (e.g Verve or Master Card)
-Enter your Card Number
-Enter Card Expiry Date and the card CVV2 (the 3 digits on the reverse side of the card and lastly enter your card pin; and
-Then click on Pay.
-After successful payment, Click the appropriate button to print Application Documents and Payment Slip.
-You can click Reprint on the left menu to reprint your documents.

1. The Portal opens on *5th September, 2017 and closes on Sunday, 17th September, 2017, at 11.59pm* and no further payment or registration can be done after that date and time.

2. All candidates seeking admission into the Kwara State Polytechnic must undergo the screening process without which they will not be eligible to be considered for admission.

3. It should be noted that only candidates who properly register for the screening and successful after the exercise will be considered for admission.

5. The screening exercise, which will be by Computer Based Test (CBT) , shall be conducted ONLINE.

Having the authority over other people is a very big responsibility" because God will ask president and rulers many exact questions about the people they are responsible for. And God warn against people overthrowing the government and taking power, because this often causes a lot of bloodshed. This has happened often throughout history. Even today in non-democratic countries, especially in the Third World, overthrowing the government and seizing power is often accompanied by violent and bloodshed. Beware because every things that we do will be a matter of humiliation and repentance right from this life and the day of judgment.
