There is an uneasy calm between popular filmmaker, Charles Novia and actress, Foluke Daramola over their political choice.

Novia is an unabashed supporter of the re-election bid of People’s Democratic Patrty (PDP) candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan while Daramola and her hubby, Kayode Salako has never their desire to see to the emergence of General Mohammed Buhari of the All Peoples’ Party (APC).

The cross over actress didn’t find claims by Charles Novia very funny that 99% of entertainers are in support of the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Maleficent star Angelina Jolie has revealed that she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after doctors detected possible early signs of cancer.



The actress and humanitarian carries a mutation in the BRCA1 gene, which increases the risk of cancer, with her mother, grandmother and aunt all dying of the disease.



Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 49 and died in 2007 at the age of 56.



In 2013 she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she had an estimated 87 per cent chance of developing breast cancer, revealing at the time that she also had an estimated 50 per cent chance of developing ovarian cancer.



In an opinion piece for the New York Times, Jolie explained she had been planning the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes for some time, readying herself ‘physically and emotionally’ for the effects of the surgery which forces the menopause.Angelina Jolie revealed doctors found possible early signs of cancer

Now, l am not saying she should not wear the same Ralph Lauren dress Lupita Nyong’o wore to the Golden Globes in 2014, but not exactly the copy. If you are so in love with the dress, you are such a super rich star- wear the real thing. You could have changed the colour from red to green or yellow, or alternate the style like Rita Dominic did when she also copied Gweyneth Paltrow long cape dress to the Oscars in 2012. Stephanie Coker in 2013 at the Headies Awards copied exactly the red dress by Azzedine Alaia that Rihanna wore to the Grammy Awards in 2013. On the red carpet she claimed that the outfit was designed by Mai Atafo but l heard from a reliable source that Mai did not design the dress for her, so who did?

Before Ini Edo left her house, what did she see in the mirror? Did Ini Edo style herself or someone did and who could that be? What on earth made her feel you could wear a loop earring on a subtle exotic glamorous evening dress? Or is Lupita her role model or muse, even at that, she has to explain the shift in cape on her own Nigerian made Ralph Lauren dress, biko. And her two-tone colored hair did so much damage to the outfit, l will just drink my Orijin and pretend l didn’t notice that hairstyle which brings to mind Iyanya’s song, ‘Ekate wants to dance’ and yes Ekate has finally come to Lagos.

Even the cream jump suit Stephanie Coker wore to the pre cocktail awards party was created out of Solange Knowles wedding dress, but this time around there is a great difference.

Can Nigeria stars start being original with their looks for a change? I know you all aspire to be actors in Hollywood or be another Julian Rancic on the red carpet, but originality is the best land for discovery. Patronise your Nigerian designers who are even ready to give free clothes or even the upcoming designers biko, maybe next time, Ini Edo should seek advice from Genevive Nnaji and Kate Henshaw about the Nigerian designers who made the dresses they wore to the awards, their make-up artistes and hair stylists were awesome.

Nollywood bad boy, Emeka Ike has reacted to the reaction removal of Ibinabo Fiberesima, as president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The actor, who has always been against Ibinabo’s enthronement as the guild leader has asked her to bury the idea of appealing the court’s verdict over her victroy.

Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, says he no longer regards Patience Jonathan, wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, as the country’s first lady. Soyinka, who has had cause to disagree with Mrs. Jonathan several times, condemned recent comments attributed to her.
At the women’s rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Calabar, Cross Rivers state, the first lady called on the party supporters to “stone anyone that says ‘Change’”, the APC mantra. Dolphins of Portharcourt have been thrown out of this year’s Caf Confederation for failing to arrive in time for last weekend’s game at Club Africain.

CAF in its decision communicated through the Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] to Dolphins on Thursday, stated that Dolphins failed to plan for their arrival at the match venue in proper time “to avoid any unforeseen situations.”

The African body also said the Nigeria Professional Football League [NPFL] club and the NFF only informed Caf a day before the match about the flight hiccups encountered by the team.
