I just don't understand some men. The traditional mindset is deeply ingrained in them, and they expect every man to follow this perception.
A guy doesn't need to marry a woman he can control like a toddler. If a man is responsible and marries a woman who is also responsible, respect will flow naturally. Responsible people know how to handle situations maturely; they don't play power games. contradicting all I have said, you simply an activist for “Broken Homes”! |

realmindz: There’s zero understanding to this.
Islam is a crime against humanity. It’s evil and should be banished. I know many innocent people have been deceived by its teachings and there are many good people practicing Islam. But that doesn’t mean islam is good. The teachings are anti progress, anti modernity, archaic and either it should be reformed to fit into modern world or banished for peace to reign. But since they won’t at least reform it like the way Christianity modernized and stopped its history of violence to current modern day money making institution, then Islam should be banished and made a crime well said. But We need to be realistic on this! One thing you need to know is that, whatever God had made to be, man can barely stand against it. No matter how strong. Banished! by who? From where will it come from? The world powers? From the Vatican? Israeli forces? Ask yourself? You see it to be archaic, but it’s the only religion undiluted from the days of genesis up to revelation. Observe this closely. So, will one not indirectly be fighting God?. Modernity in the Christian faith is it a divine order.? Do you care to know even though we all feel comfortable with it? When we all know that God is a God of yesterday’s…etc. one whose word never changes. Read all scripture from beginning to the end, Old Testament, New Testament, the holy Quran you will understand better. Prophets led wars, imagine if you were on the side of oppositions, what will be your thoughts over it just as you speak now? The Israeli are similar in act as well, never on side of peace, but they are being covered up! why? Is it because some world powers are backing them up? Yes, they have gotten strong allies, but opposition doesn’t want tis why they are seen as the bad ones! |

You mean, I should believe a man that comes after 600 years + over eye witnesses that walked, talked, moved around with the person.
Bro, let us be logical now God’s ways appears illogical Bro. Let’s look at it on the side of divinity in play. Remember when Daniel and other kinsmen of his stood before Nebucadnezer, what did he requested of them? That either of them must tell him that dream he dreamt and it meaning and if not they will all be be headed. Does that sound logical.? Let me tell you the truth, even if you don’t believe the prophet of Islam, believe in that holy book the Quran. The book is true and it’s real. God even have a challenge that whoever that can present another of it kind, even with all existing great scholars combined that can work a similar of it out, but till date none. All that is seen is critics. God’s way ain’t man’s ways, so it can not be a book generally accepted by man. That alone is a sign. |

Max24: I totally agree with you. I even remember Buhari saying they would not rest until they dip the quoran in the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos. Thats their next game plan. They believe they are wise. That's the game plan of people like El Rural, Sultan and other fulanis but it will fail. They are always looking for ways to hijack power same way they did to Hausas. thinking over it deeply, it will be highly detrimental on the long run. they have failed already. Even in tactics. The way they hijacked the North can’t be so for the south. Even though they want to be diplomatic. No matter how they force themselves. They will be frustrated. Non-Muslims (Christians and the rest) out numbers the Muslims in the south, more so, we are all United . Muslims & non-Muslims alike. They want to bring divisions, and for us to begin fighting one another for dominance. Many Muslims still, will break out from Islam and fight against them and their brothers. E no go work! I am too confident about it. North is not South and can not be. God had made it so. Period! |

Merry100: Men dey! Not all men are insecure, there are men who won’t tell a woman to "sit down there or don't leave there" for no reason. Stop deluding yourself; some men treat women with kindness and respect and are not controlling in any way.
I even have a brother who is very responsible. He has dated difficult women, but that did not compromise his values. He often questions why men cheat and why they mistreat women. Men who are wicked or irresponsible only make excuses for their behaviour.
Women need to strive to connect with the right men. As I grew older, I realized that one can work on attracting the right type of people, so I focused on building connections with those who align with my values.
Currently, I surround myself with responsible people; my temperament doesn’t even allow me to engage with problematic people. I can’t remember having a heated or violent argument with anyone. When someone starts to cause me issues, I simply detach myself from them. Peace of mind is essential for mental health. one shouldn’t see that as control. It make no sense for a man to control are woman in a senseless way. Now, what’s wrong when your wife wants to attend a party or an outing, then, you as the Husband is not in support, can’t he tell her not to go anywhere and she obeys?. Avoid analyzing point in a weak sense. A man is the head, after a woman leaving her father, her husband is the next. Even if she wants to go see her father, the husband has the right to tell her not to go and she must obey. With all cited examples, Is it not same as sit down !Am not saying any man must do that. But all husband’s power is up to that level over their wives. You shouldn’t boss your wife because you want her to know you are the boss. If she doesn’t know these, then she isn’t fit. Not responsible for a marital home. Weak men cheat themselves out of ignorance. A man must be responsible, yes. By all standards. So as to maintain his reputation for who he is! |

Prettygirl200: Respect is reciprocal, she's not your slave, you don't tell a full grown adult to sit down in an authorative way. Na wife you marry no be your pikin. The way y'all like to accept what you can't give is disgusting. You don't want your partner to do something talk to her gently about it that's called partnership not commanding her as if na you born her. being submissive is all that is required of a woman in a matrimonial home. Okrika get quality. For example every lady has her class of man that she will regard as masculine to her same as a guy. No man will marry who he can’t control or to say who can’t listen to him in regards as being the head factor in a home. If your man can’t tell you to sit down and not to leave there, then you must check yourself before you become a wife. That alone passes a lot of messages to who you are. Your ideology is with those kind of couples who share bills in the home equally. I agree. It’s understandable. But mind you, there will always be problems. A man must take care of his responsibilities to a large extent. He should marry a woman of his class and contented |

smokinloud: THIS IS THE GREAT COMMISSION. Matthew 28:16-20 [16]Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. [17]And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. [18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
BE SINCERE WITH YOURSELF, CAN THIS COMMISSION BE FULFILLED WITHOUT MONEY? ANY WONDER THAT JESUS COLLECTS MONEY DURING HIS MINISTRY ON EARTH AND EVEN HAD SOMEONE IN CHARGE OF MONEY?!. the books of the New Testament contradicts a lot. Christ had outrightly on practical grounds proved it all that it’s not all about money. from all said and done by him. Money is ruining scriptural affairs lately. Too many fraudsters now in disguise as to being so called men of God. Too many to count! Hiding under this disguise you are mentioning. When Jesus instructed his disciples during their fishing mission, instructed them to cast their net at a particular direction, the fish they caught almost tore their fishing net, why didn’t he remember all his bills such as getting horses and some other necessary items for his ministry.? He didn’t see money to be important.! Did he care? No he didn’t. When he was to pay his tax to cæser, where did he instruct them to get money for him? Was it no in the mouth of a fish.? Money is not needed. It has ruined the purpose over time. Ministers are to be stationed. Ministers should be in everywhere locations Preaching the gospel. It is not one man from Nigeria wanting to go to uk and preach the gospel. What for! That’s waste..! Any funds in the hand of a minister or a pastor should be meant for the poor and not evangelism or ministration of any sort. Did Jesus walk about in his time? He was stationed. You have churches where you are now, same as there are churches where I am now, must the one there come hear and the one here go there? For what! That’s waste of resources, who send them! This is where embezzlement and lavished lifestyle begins from. Imagine a so called man of God, driving a rolls Royce, latest RR, for what! He should sell it and feed the poor. Same Jesus who said, sell all that you have and follow me, even the modern day pastors can’t do it! Too bad.. |

smokinloud: The notion that self-sufficiency in the church inevitably leads to greed and covetousness is a sweeping generalization. While it's true that some individuals have abused their positions for personal gain, it's unfair to tarnish the entire church with the same brush.
The idea that the church cannot thrive without money is not an assumption, but rather a recognition of the practical realities of supporting a community of believers. Just as any organization requires resources to function effectively, the church needs financial support to carry out its mission, provide for its members, and serve the wider community.
The bible never said money is the root of evil rather it says the LOVE/LUST for money is the root of all evil.
Let's set the record straight. The early church practiced 100% giving and total voluntary giving, with individuals contributing as they saw fit. However, this changed in the 6th century when the Catholic Church, under the influence of the Roman state, began to formalize tithing. Though a good decision.
Fast-forward to the 20th century: the Catholic Church suddenly stopped practicing tithing. Meanwhile, Protestantism, which emerged from the Catholic Church, continued to emphasize the importance of tithing.
Now, here's the crucial part: within 100 years of the Catholic Church abandoning tithing, its membership and influence began to decline. Conversely, Protestantism's emphasis on tithing has fueled its explosive growth, particularly in the Pentecostal movement.
Today, Pentecostalism is the fastest-growing religion on earth "by conversion", with conversions skyrocketing partly due to its emphasis on tithing. The numbers are clear: tithing has been a key factor in Protestantism's success, while its abandonment has contributed to Catholicism's decline.
well said to an extent. But Mind you, I hope you know God doesn’t get impressed over large numbers.? The large numbers and the growth in Protestantism does indicate an act of winning souls. Even the devil made a promise to God that he will mislead his people. What did God say, go ahead. Jesus said that “I know my sheep and my sheep knows me”. With the influence of money to scriptural growth is unethical. Why don’t we hear of the JW! These guys ain’t materialistic, they practice Christ was to the letter. Same statement that goes, “the gate is very narrow”. Yes, indeed. Religion and materialism are two opposite. They can’t match with one another. Whoever will worship God will worship God, set up the place for worship on collective grounds that’s all. Jesus never brought about monetary affairs in his time, even the donkey was borrowed. He remembered the poor. Fed them! His disciples went for ministration with nothing. Came back with nothing. Modernization is changing things a lot on the negative! Service to God one must be selfless. It’s a sacrifice. That is the race! Whoever worships God in affluence and comfort doesn’t deserve merits..! And this is the norm today |
