Olu1000:There are many children on this forum. Let me shock you. In 1989, IBB government established two political parties: the center-right National Republican Convention (NRC) and the center-left Social Democratic Party (SDP). That year, Nigeria had 449 local government areas. This number increased to 500 by August 1990, and further to 589 by September 1991. Nigeria also had 30 states in 1991. Now, here is the shocker! IBB built two national secretariats for the parties. Not only that he built two secretariats in each state and two secretariats in each local government in the entire Nigeria. Let me summarize it for you. 1. National Secretariats- 2 2. State Secretariats- 60 3. LG Secretariats- 1,178. Now, do the maths. That is how much the military government of IBB wasted in building party secretariats for NRC and SDP in the ill-fated 3rd Republic. |

SmartPolician:This was how another medium reported it. In Lagos, a special number plate for persons with disabilities (PWDs) offers recognition and potentially benefits like free medical care and access to accessible public transportation. The Lagos State Number Plate Production Authority (LSNPPA) is implementing a scheme to identify PWDs with specially designed number plates. This could lead to improved accessibility for PWDs, as the government is also working to ensure public buildings and structures are accessible. Benefits of a special number plate for PWDs in Lagos: Recognition and Identification: The number plate serves as a visual identifier for PWDs, potentially facilitating access to services and support designed for them. Access to Services: The special number plate might be linked to accessing government-provided services, such as free healthcare in public institutions, as stipulated in the Lagos State Special Peoples' Law. Improved Accessibility: The government's commitment to making public buildings and transport accessible could be further supported by the use of these number plates, potentially leading to a more inclusive environment. Enhanced Public Awareness: The special number plate can raise public awareness about PWDs and their needs, fostering a more understanding and supportive community. Potential for Special Discounts or Privileges: While not explicitly mentioned, the special number plate could potentially be used to access discounts or privileges in various sectors, further enhancing the lives of PWDs. Financial Assistance and Support: The Lagos State Government has also provided financial assistance to homes that care for persons with disabilities. The Lagos State Number Plate Production Authority (LSNPPA) is actively involved in producing these special number plates. |
SmartPolician:That was the portion reported by Punch newspaper. If you read from other medium, you will be surprised that he actually mentioned them. |

A letter has been trending online of how Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan blackmailed her present husband into marrying her after instituting a lawsuit against the then married man. This is another evidence to prove that Senator Natasha is an expert in the game and this is not the first time she will be blackmailing a man under the guise of sexual harrassment. It will be recalled that the senator accused Mr. Reno Omokri of sexual harrassment, when the latter was an aide of President Goodluck Jonathan. It took the posting of an alibi by Omokri before Natasha brought down the allegation and some amount were said to change hands for the matter to be settled out of court.

Do not confuse people. That was NOT an editorial or opinion of TheNation. It was a private opinion written to and published in TheNation by one Dr. Vitus Ozoke in United States. And from his name, you can guess his allegiance.

As governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi said any infrastructure that stands in the way of the road construction must go. And there would be no compensation paid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0WrY43K3cE?si=GY7oRu1p9BipfgzG |
Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi said, “And I want to commend the likes of Bolaji, incidentally from kilometre zero to four from what I’m seeing, he is the only one that is majorly affected. That’s the only infrastructure I can see that is affected.” Responding, the Chief Executive Officer, Mami Chula Beach, Mr Bolaji Ariyo, acknowledged the project’s necessity for development, even when it causes inconvenience for a small number of people. He said, “We all hope this is the renewed hope that we all clamoured for, during the campaign, we all prayed for development in Nigeria. “And some of us have so much belief in Mr President that he will do it well, and this is an opportunity. “For example, I’m a Lagosian and this is also a development that has been set down for a very long time. It is good that Mr President is doing that right now. “It is unfortunate. We all prayed for development, and in every development, some people pay the price and sacrifice for the development. “You might be wondering why I’m talking like this, maybe because I was also on the other side before, so, I understand what governance means. “I understand when a government is promising to make life easy for the entire Nigerians. ”Some of us are affected, no doubt about it, but those of us affected are not up to 0.1% of the millions of people that will enjoy the coastal roads. “That’s why people like me, have taken it to heart to also support Mr President and the honourable minister to ensure that this road comes to life.”
This is how reasonable people talk. Not playing victim with every government policy because of where you come from. Imagine if this is done to some people from we-know-where |
derecho:Just as I am surprised Obi did not blame America government for this. I am sure if the crash had happened in Nigeria, the eedi0t would have blamed FG. |
