Wifey has joined all those bulk purchase foodstuff sharing groups to obtain food stuff cheaper.

Yam is now so pricey so we have ditched it completely and buy potatoes instead.

I transferred my kids to their school's permanent site which is uncompleted but a stone throw from the house. Distance is like from Pako to Chemist in Akoka so dem dey waka go and dey waka come back.

I now stagger the payment of my kids school fees. I pay for the elder in one month and the younger one the next month.

DSTV, I don stop subscription. Thankfully, I'm not a TV or football person. To keep the kids entertained, I downloaded binge compilations of their favourite cartoons from youtube onto my external HDD and that's what they watch during their TV time,

The way I now compare substitute/alternative products and do cost-quantity analysis when buying groceries these days, you go fear.
X milk is 950g but is N5000, Y milk is 1000g but is 5500. X milk is actually better value for money.

I could relate and feel the pain of that TV presenter who said she doesn't feel middle class anymore and walked off air.

The middle class have been dragged down and are now closer to touching poverty.

Truth is Nigeria has become too expensive to live in.

We are stuck in a rut, and it doesn't appear as if things will get better anytime soon or even later.

The Senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said President Bola Tinubu moves around the Federal Capital Territory most nights to feel the pulse of the citizens.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Kalu said the president is aware of the pains and hardships Nigerians are facing and is taking bold steps to address the dwindling economy.

He said, “The President himself knows that Nigerians are suffering and hungry. He is a street person; he knows the street very well. The president some nights uses his car to go around and know what is happening in Abuja here.”

On the economic hardship in the country, the lawmaker stated that it is not peculiar to Nigeria as the impact of COVID-19 is still affecting economies globally.

Kalu added that the only reason some countries are no longer feeling the COVID-19 impact the way Nigeria is feeling it is because they have built a robust economy and have palliative for the citizens and business owners.
