Also, this is one of the nursing scholarships for students. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is now offering the CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship. And the program is open to graduate nursing students.

However, the student has to be enrolled in a graduate nursing program. And this is at an AACN member school of nursing.

Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each. And this is for the semester. Thus, it covers a total of four scholarships per academic year. However, to be eligible, you must be a graduate nursing student.

3. Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship
Also, this is one of the nursing scholarships for students. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is now offering the Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship.

However, to be eligible, note. You must be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program. And this is at an AACN member institution affiliated. Additionally, two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants.

4. The AACN Scholarship
Also, this is one of the nursing scholarships for students. The AfterCollege has a lofty vision. And it aims to help every college student and recent graduate discover their career path.”

Also, at AfterCollege, the AACN Scholarship Fund supports students. However, they are to seek a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degree in nursing.

5. Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship

NECO calls for Resumption of Secondary School Final Year Students who will write the 2020 SSCE

The examination department of National Examination Council (NECO) has called for the resumption of secondary school final year students.

This was disclosed in a circular directed to the boards state officers and titled: “CONDUCT OF 2020 BECE AND JUNE JULY SSCE“. The circular fully reads:

Management is of the view that if the two (02) examinations stated above will be conducted and in good time this year, the Council needs to take more proactive measures.

“One of these is to convince relevant Stakeholders of the need for resumption of final year students writing public/ external examinations as soon as possible.

“With only them in school joined by only the teachers directly involved in the conduct of the examinations, the recommended social distancing, with other safety measures can be observed.

“In the absence of students in other classes, all available halls, classrooms, laboratories and even offices can be utilized to achieve the desired spread of the candidates especially on the days major/general papers will be written.

“This suggestion is in view of the realization that based on daily report of the spread of COVID 19, and Introduction of virtual learning by Governments, schools and institutions, full resumption of school may not be possible even in the near future
You are directed to immediately commence talks with the Commissioner for Education and other concerned MOE officials in your state to convince them of the need to recall ONLY the students writing public External examinations. A specific period will be allowed for revision and the examination will commence.

“As soon as you secure the approval of the Commissioners and you inform Management accordingly through your Zonal Coordinators, official letters will be sent to them through you and further necessary steps will be taken to commence the examinations in earnest. 1.READ UP PAST QUESTIONS: This is very important for any student that wants to succeed in the upcoming examination

Past questions serve as a guide to writing the examination. It gives you a clue on the area of concentration and makes you well equipped on what to expect from the school examination board.

Furthermore, so many tertiary institutions have been known over the years to repeat questions from the previous examinations. Some of the questions might be repeated and if a student has revised the past questions booklet thoroughly,he is sure to succeed

NOTE: JAMB PAST QUESTIONS IS THE KEY.



2. ATTEMPT FAMILIAR QUESTIONS FIRST:

You should start with questions that you are really good at and it will give you the confidence to tackle the rest.

A student who focuses on the questions he or she knows best will do better than the one who doesn’t. It is always advisable to focus on the questions you know before you go for the ones you don’t know



3.TIME MANAGEMENT

Time is part of the examination. They test your ability to work with time which is the key to pick out the best and smart students and eliminate the rest.

Further more, manage the little time given for the examination and don’t waste much time on questions you don’t know. Answer all the ones you know and then come back to the unknown questions very fast before the time lapses.

Different schools have different techniques for their Post-UTME like Nnamdi Azikiwe University and UNN mostly base on Jamb past questions starting from 1978. While most Nigerian universities have adopted the computer based test(CBT),others have stuck with the old PPT (paper and pencil test)

Whatever the case may be, to succeed in the examination, you should be conversant with the techniques of your examination before entering the exam hall.

You may find computer based examination trials on the internet and practice well so as to get used to the procedure if this is your first time.

6.OBEY ALL EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

You must read all instructions before you start to answer the questions. This is very important. Failure to read instructions can make any student fail an examination.

Be sure to come to the examination hall with the right materials required of you to avoid disqualification in the examination hall and withdrew anything that will imprecate you the day of the exam.



7. DO NOT CHEAT

In order to succeed in the post-utme examination, do not indulge in any form of examination malpractice. Do away with materials such as pieces of papers containing answers or gadgets and communication devices that can implicate you and be disqualified.



8.DRESS APPROPRIATELY

According to a popular saying –“dress the way you want to be addressed.” When going in for the examination,be sure to dress decently and appropriately to avoid harassment from examiners and security personnel.

2. Higher National Diploma (HND)

National Diploma in Mass Communication with minimum of Lower Credit from a recognised and NBTE-accredited institution.
Evidence/Proof of a one-year mandatory Industrial Attachment.
Admission is done directly by the Institution.
At the end of the course, successful candidates are awarded Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication.

3. Post Graduate Diploma (PGD)

The programme is separated into three specialised areas of Mass Communication:


Print Journalism,
Broadcast Journalism,
Public Relations and Advertising.



The programme is designed to expose and equip the students with the fundamental principles and theoretical framework of Mass Communication practice.

Every student in all sequences apart from their professional courses, take these core courses:


Foundation of Mass Communication,
Theory of Mass Communication,
Mass Media Law and Ethics,
Mass Communication Research Methods;
Communication for Development, Media Management and
Topical Issues in Mass Communication.

Internship

At the end of each semester and session, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students are sent on 4-6 weeks Internship with Media organisations for practical experience prior to their graduation. At the completion of their programmes, National Diploma students go on one year compulsory Industrial Attachment (Internship) while Post- Graduate students are sent on a 6-week Internship programme at the completion of their course work.

Deferment of Admission

All candidates already offered admission may apply for deferment of admission for that session through the head of relevant department to the Registrar within six weeks of date of admission. The application must be supported with genuine reasons as well as documentary evidence where necessary.
