LEAVE GOVERNOR EMMANUEL OUT OF YOUR N204M BRIBERY PREDICAMENTS - ADVOCACY GROUP WARNS SEN ALBERT Senator Bassey Albert Akpan and his supporters have been warned to desist from further blackmail and smear campaigns against Governor Udom Emmanuel, over the current legal imbroglio of the Young Progressives Party’s gubernatorial candidate. A major advocacy group, Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance in a reaction by its Chairman, Barr Stephen Abia, said it was unfair and uncharitable for the embattled senator to transfer blames of his travails to the doorsteps of Governor Emmanuel who neither originated the charges nor even knows of the facts of the case. The group opined that to remotely or directly blame Governor Emmanuel for the probe of Bassey Akpan’s financial impropriety, was devilish, wicked and malicious. “From investigations by our team of professionals, Governor Emmanuel was not in office as Governor, when the case of bribery and corruption against Bassey Albert Akpan commenced”, said Barr Stephen Abia. “The case was purely on the heels of a probe of the infamous alleged slush funds against a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, where part of the funds where allegedly linked to a certain Jide Omokoro who confessed during investigation that he used the funds to bribe Senator Albert Akpan through car donations amounting to N204million to get contracts. “For the avoidance of doubts, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested and detained Senator Akpan over cars that he had allegedly received as bribe from Jide Omokore while serving as Akwa Ibom Finance Commissioner and Chairman of the State Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Coordinating Committee. “Investigations show that the Omokore's companies – Bay Atlantic Energy and Sahel Energy – received contracts from the Senator Akpan’s InterMinisterial Direct Labour Coordinating Committee and the EFCC claimed the vehicles were used to bribe Akpan. “We have discovered that it is only on the basis of jurisdiction that the case could not be decided a long time ago when the trial was conducted at Justice O.A. Taiwo presided Federal High Court in Lagos, hence the case was reassigned to the federal high court in Uyo in line with Senator Albert Akpan’s argument that the offense took place in Uyo. “When he was testifying at the High Court, Senator Albert admitted receiving the car bribe from Omokaro and further brought some members of his campaign team as witnesses that they were given the contentious vehicles to campaign for Albert’s elections in 2015. “Throughout the duration of this trial and till this moment, there is no record that the Akwa Ibom State government was a party in the case, nor can it be said that Governor Emmanuel or any of his appointees had testified in the case. It is therefore worrisome that Senator Bassey Albert would come out to castigate the Governor for a sin he allegedly committed when Governor Emmanuel had not assumed office”, the group enthused. According to Barr Stephen Abia, himself an indigene of Ibiono Ibom local government where Bassey Albert also hails from, the people of Ibiono Ibom have disassociated themselves from the corruption allegations against their son, and are also ready to remain in support of the transparent leadership of Governor Emmanuel, which has brought about monumental feats in the State since 2015. Judgement in the case is expected to come up on Friday this week at the Federal High Court in Uyo. https://igberetvnews.com/1432642/leave-gov-emmanuel-n204m-bribery-predicaments-advocacy-group-warns-sen-albert/

DELTA 2023: "URHOBO NATION WONT VOTE CONTRACT RACKETEER, RENT SEEKER" - Mayor of Urhoboland Lambasts Omo-Agege The Mayor of Urhoboland, Eshanakpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro, has expressed displeasure over alleged pipeline security surveillance of Urhobo and Isoko lands allegedly awarded the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege through Zane Energy wherein Jimmy Omo-Agege, is said to the Chief Executive Officer and the Managing directing noting that the lawmaker is shortchanging Urhobo Youths for his personal and not public good. He stated this in a chat with our correspondent Wednesday in Warri, the economic nerve Centre of the oil-rich Delta State, South-South Nigeria as he called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited to immediately revoke the subcontract given to Omo-Agege by proxy that the lawmaker cannot be a Senstor and an ex-militant at the same time. He stated that, DSP Omo-Agege was never part of the arm struggle when it mattered most and shouldn't reap from where he did not sow while calling on the FG to in the interest of Peace and security in Urhobo land withdraw the contract of OML 30 and 34 lying within Urhobo and Isoko axis from the politician which he said amounts to armtwisting Urhobo Youths. That Omo-Agege is a Senator is enough engagement for him but shouldn't covet that which should naturally come to the youths of Urhoboland saying, the ex-militant leaders in Urhobo and Isoko including himself are more deserving of the contract adding that but for the weakness of Urhobo, the Senator shouldn't have dared to hijack the pipeline contract. The Mayor quarried the rationale behind "coveting" the pipeline job by proxy using his younger brother at the detriment of public interests blaming the NNPCL and the national security apparatus for allowing a politically exposed person to take over security of such important national treasure. According to the Mayor who doubles as the Coordinator of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, Omo-Agege has exuded enough greed and should look elsewhere to build his political war chest as he vowed to ensure that the Senator loses the contract if only for Urhobo Youths to be the gainers for it. "When we were in the creeks, DSP Omo-Agege was nowhere to be found, has he seeing other lawmakers or sectional leaders hustle to hijack contracts that belong to the youths. Why is Omo-Agege impeding the progress of Urhobo Youths? Government Ekpemukpolo a.k.a Tomopolo, hails from a senatorial district that has a Senstor, ditto Ayiri Emami, yet, they were not robbed of the contracts but Urhobo and Isoko youths are jinxed by a greedy Senator who want to own the world. "Why for God sake is the FG not rewarding loyalty and sidarity to the nation? We hailed Tomopolo's contract because he deservedly was awarded the surveillance job and also Emami, on what ground was the Urhobo corridors of pipelines awarded to Omo-Agege? NNPCL should right its wrong immediately to save us from looming crisis." Akpodoro stated noting that, the time has come for Urhobo Youths to reject oppression by one "winner takes all." His Excellency commended the success already achieved by Tantita Security Services, describing the revelations already made by the firm as massive while he hailed the intelligent network of the of the firm. Going by the revelations, the firm has confirmed its capacity to protect the pipelines in its areas of operations and for the nation without let or hindrance while he called on NNPCL not set Urhoboland on fire. Akpodoro called on Urhobo and Isoko youths to ensure that the APC gubernatorial candidate in the state loses election at the polls come 2023 saying; if as an aspirant to the Government House, Omo-Agege ambushed the good of the two ethnic nationalities, he will do worse as a governor adding that the Deputy Senate President should take que from other gubernatorial flagbearers in the state who he said are not hijacking contracts that should go to the youths. Pointedly, the Mayor said youths of Urhobo and Isoko extractions had approached the Senator earlier but he denied involvement in the contract only for youths who he said borrowed money to travel to Gbaramatu to meet with the management of Tantita Securirty Services where they were shockingly told to go and meet Omo-Agege to whom the OML 30 and 34 had allegedly been awarded. "Agege should emulate his colleagues in the red chamber of the National Assembly and gubernatorial candidates who are not running after contracts against the good of their people. As it is now, Omo-Agege is the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, he's the pipeline surveillance contractor, the contractor handling the construction of the Federal Polytechnic Orogun, the Sapele - Eku rehabilitation and the gubernatorial candidate - all in one person. Is Urhobo his exclusive preserve? We heard him refer to Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as a traitor whereas they have same perfidious blood run in their veins. Chief Ovedje Ogboru, Olorogun Otega Emerhor and others who had tasted the bitter pill of betrayal at the different times in the hands of this politician can tell the story better. "Our coalition knows already that the OML 30 and 34 are in wrong hands and that may throw spanner in the works of Tantita Security Service and we are not unaware that Omo-Agege's handling of the surveillance contract is a bundle of confusion waiting to happen. He would spoil the good work Tompolo is doing. " The Mayor maintained.

If Nigeria Was A Business Entity, It Would've Been Sold To Pay Its Debt — Prof. Imumolen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DoaeHd3_Vo The presidential candidate of Accord Party, Prof Chris Imumolen has said if Nigeria was a company, it would have been sold along with its entities to service the debts it's currently owing. While decrying that over a hundred percent of the country's revenue is being used to service debts, the presidential candidate said the next president of the country will face the toughest job ever. Addressing supporters in Abuja recently, Prof. Imumolen therefore note that the next president of the country should be someone who has the passion and value to rescue it. "If Nigeria was to be a company, the option would have been to declare a bankruptcy or to sell the company and its entity to pay the whole debt" he said. He therefore insists that the country's president in 2023 should not be elected on tribal or religious considerations but on capacity of individuals to rescue the country. While offering himself as one that has what it takes to lead the country, Prof. Imumolen said he is passionate about the country and has brought value even before joining politics. "When I say I have imparted so much on education, people doubt it. I don't think in the history of this country, there has been any man who has imparted in education as much as Prof. Chris. "You can go and research it, you go and check it. You may not know about it because I have not been making too much noise about it, I have been doing it as a result of passion and value. "There is no state in Nigeria — in Kaduna, in Kano, in Zamfara, in Yobe that I don't have students up to a thousand in my scholarship board" he said. According to him, there is no state in Nigeria where about 5000 persons have not benefitted from his scholarship scheme, adding that it is not for politics but passion. He insists that education is the stimulating tool to position Nigeria to compete internationally. Prof. Imumolen therefore said time has come for the country to produce leaders that will add value, treat the people with so much respect and see every citizen as humans. He said that is what he represents, urging for the support of all Nigerians to help him become the president in 2023.

According to Imumolen, he understands the country's challenges and has the political will to address them which others may not have. "Many people here in this hall understand too, but many of the presidential candidates may not have the will to solve that problem because they are affiliated to the set of those that caused the problems of Nigeria" he told participants at the recently concluded Nigeria Youth Decide conference in Abuja. Prof. Imumolen, 39 insists that only a neutral man who has progressed in his endeavour can lead the country. He said the country's problems is caused by those who in the past have occupied or still occupying leadership positions, calling for a departure from their brand of leadership. "I am the only candidate who has given more scholarships to more Nigerians than the rest of the presidential candidates and governors. "I have done that privately, you can research it, I have given over 500,000 Nigerians scholarship. I have been doing that for the past 15 years. I believe so much in education and I believe education is one of the tools that will deliver Nigeria from the obscurity we have found ourselves" he added. His capacity to lead, and successes he has achieved is his driving force in joining the 2023 presidential race, maintaining that he has a deep understanding of the issues with the country. Desire To Enhance The Living Standard of Our People Primary Reason I'm Running For Reps — Taslim Videos AIT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjGUR_qsR7Q Getting to know the candidate - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xPaXYoigps A House of Representatives candidate for Jada, Ganye, Mayo Belwa, Toungo constituency of Adamawa State, Taslim Ahmed Iya has said he joined in the race as a result of his desire to contribute towards improving the living standard of his constituents and Nigerians at large. He expressed dissatisfaction that despite huge resources the nation is blessed with, hunger, poverty, disease and deprivation still stares at the face of the people. Presenting his manifesto recently to his constituents amidst cheers and excitement, Mr. Iya said he was tired of seeing political office holders enriching themselves to the detriment of the people they should be serving. According to him, electing good people into various political offices will be a great step towards achieving a new Nigeria. He said his group, the Nigeria Action Association offers a new hope, urging all Nigerians to join and become members. He said, "I decided to do this because I am sick and tired of watching all our leaders come into office, take all our money and do nothing. They have compromised our security, our economy, our ability to feed, clothe, and house ourselves, in other words our livelihood. "Now it seems they would compromise our lives as well. We can’t keep electing the same group of leaders with different party names and expect things to change. A great man once said doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. "I am afraid if I do not stand up and call upon others to stand up and take action, there will be no Nigeria left". He stated that the aims of his association include, ensuring the freedom, security, and well-being of Nigerians through active representation, to encourage a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, secular country where people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs live harmoniously together as true Nigerians and building a strong and prosperous economy that allows for the provision of jobs and a good business and economic environment for all Nigerians Taslim Ahmed Iya: A Look at the Candidate - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44qlW4MlHfA On Security, he said a significant increase in wages for the police and military by an initial 50%, along with improved welfare programs to focus on housing among other, as well as raising the police force from around 250,000 to 500,000 to be trained through the association's new programs will enhance security in the country. "On the Economy, We will quickly build up our industries such as agriculture, power, oil & gas, mining, and the assembly of our own cars (Toyota, Hyundai and other manufacturers), bikes, and tricycles instead of importing them. "For example, our imports of cars alone amount to about $6 billion or 12% of our total imports, making it the third highest Nigerian import. We will achieve this through state intervention and investment which will create millions of jobs while reducing the cost of the products we produce (see pages 3 - 9 of our restructuring plan for more details)" he said.
