Hi, none really but if you are hell bent on hang an option out of this, I wiil go with Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management. It is more specilaise and a bit of a prospect. That said, you yourself is the best out of all these. The way you project yourself, study hard, get better result, get needed skills that will sell you well to the prospect companies. In this modern world, it is not about the course, it is about the skills and knowledge mainly not in the 4 walls of the university oh. |

Pursuing a degree in Business Administration offers significant opportunities, as it opens doors to various roles in both government and private sectors. In the public sector, there are numerous positions suitable for business administration graduates, while in the private sector, their skills are highly versatile and applicable across multiple industries. If I could revisit my past, I would choose to study Statistics over Microbiology. The field of Statistics provides unparalleled flexibility, as statisticians are in demand across virtually every industry. Ultimately, success often depends not just on the potential of a field, but on the immediate opportunities it presents. |

Mercylike:Human Resources (HR) is quite specialized, so I would recommend the OP to consider Business Administration instead, as it offers a broader range of opportunities. With a background in Business Administration, they can keep their options open and be prepared for various opportunities that may arise in the future. This way, they won’t limit their chances when new doors open. |

ALL HAVE THEIR CONS, BUT HERE ARE SOME USEFUL ALTERNATIVES. u are obviously a commercial or art student right? Public and Business admin is best for kids of the rich, who already have the resources available but need knowledge on how to manage them. instead, go for PURE ACCOUNTING, Banking and Finance or INDUSTRIAL MATHS! Marketing is an ART that needs to be practiced, not a course to be studied. If you must study Marketing, Do it on the Job! specialize in a particular industry, gain all the necessary knowledge and your good to go! Industrial relations and HRM ? Dude, to be honest with you, its nothing more than a glorified Public admin.Just go study Law, either financial, criminal or oil and gas LAW! |

DJInfluence:None. High levels of development, tech & automation, and local laws over there can’t allow you stand a good chance. In Nigeria, Marketing MIGHT be good if you can get an entry level job with a Western country multinational FMCG. An/a HR course too may be a fairly good pathway to your career success, if you are lady and can write INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED HR certification exams like HRCI and get a job in any non-toxic, non-Indian non Chinese or a good Nigerian company (e.g. a responsible startup that has been around for over 10 years). Your best bet is to be trained in a multinational company, including any of our Big 4 udit firms or their Tier 2 counterparts. For the other courses, please forget it or else you could end up teaching, at last, in those mushroom private schools. |
