try leaning the language and then start learning data structure and algorithms when you are comfortable with the language. You will still have to learn to answer and read the code and without a programming language background knowledge it wont be possible
Lamzzyy:
I want to start my software developer journey, and i've noticed all programming languages have same data types like list/array, objects, string, Boolean and all so my question is should I learn Data structures and algorithms first before learning a programming language.

Programming / Re: Reasons Why You Should Learn Node JS Programming Before 2020 by afuye(m): 7:41am On Dec 08, 2019
Nice article but u caused a confusion when u said it's a library otherwise a run-time engine. They r both different things.

It's a runtime engine just like a browser for the web but this does execution of Javascript code outside the browser and that doesn't qualify it as a library.

On your phone? I'm coming back to reply to your question
Ausrichie:
Please is there any place that I can at least get a programming job. Unfortunately I don't have a certificate but I have nice coding skills. I know my chances are badly low because worst of the worst— I don't have a laptop I've been using my phone and finally I mastered c and c++ but please I am in dire need. Everything is just getting worse here and I am tired of living with my mother that keeps on annoying me with her stupid decisions. Please just advice me on what I should fvcking do. And please I tried getting a common job but 10k pay can't help me with living on my own even 20k can't help me. I am pained. The languages I can program with are C, C++, C#. I am still learning X86 assembly and ARM assembly.

Programming / Re: Can A Self Taught Programmer Be Employed In A I.T Company? by afuye(m): 7:23pm On Nov 18, 2019
What matters is what you know and what you have build with the knowledge and ability to convince potential employers
Logoking:
Good afternoon everyone.for a while now have been wondering if it is possible for a self taught programmer to be employed in a I.T company or any other company that need the services of a programmer.
One of the reason why am asking this question is because i am a boy whose mother can't afford to send him to a university,i don't fault her because she has five children and so its been difficult raising all of us without my late dad.
So is it possible to be employed as a self taught programmer (especially in Nigeria).
You are Oturumape, olodo. You know nothing. If you don't know, you shut up and let people who are well informed answer the question and not try to discourage someone who might have a bright future with or without certificate
Ausrichie:
Not possible in Nigeria but if you can prove yourself in another country (outside Africa of course) through conferences or competitions or seminars then you can actually get one.

Then go back and learn it. The concepts sound complex than they really are. Infact to start know you must have intermidiate knowledge of Javascript. With at least 5months experience or 450hrs study time
