briefness: Just wondering how someone will post a story like this without feeling embarrassed. @OP I feel very embarrassed on your behalf. Don't tell the result, we actually want to see results.
If the truth embarrasses you, then I will be embarrassed.
vandutchboy: We don't hate Goodluck Jonathan personally we just don't like the fact he has turned Nigeria to a thieves paradise, were you can loot without punishment. We don't like the destination he is taking the country, even if given 60 years our country won't turn to Malaysia or Dubai under Goodluck Jonathan.
You have your 1999 constitution to blame for lack of convictions not GEJ. He has arraigned many but they all left with a slap in the wrist.
Also you have to blame the judges who are very corrupt and the civil servants who also 3rd in the pecking order
You have to blame the police who are the most corrupt. Tinubu was taken to court and the supreme court said he could not be prosecuted because he enjoyed immunity as sitting governor. When he exited, the police refused to arrest him.
GEJ constituted a national conference to enable us make changes, but your ilks refused to touch those very important institution strengthening bits.
He is pulling corruption from the root and playing to the cameras, unfortunately most people wont understand this.
The IPPIS, has removed over 40000 ghost workers from Fed payroll and like this guy confirmed, no more middle men in contract payment.
If people are still being paid for work not done, then the 20, 000 km of roads done would not be possible. The rails cannot be possible The e-wallet could not happen These were avenues of corruption which no one talked about.
GEJ is building institutions not playing to gallery.
double0seven: the most stupid and rubbish story..... that GEJ is a very corrupt Nigerian president is now a worldwide knowledge..... even America knows....... plus including including Britain and Asia.....
....the devil is the strength of GEJ, there is no way that it can be God...
That does not mean that my story was cooked. Your problem is that you people hate GEJ so much that even if he turns Nigeria to Buckingham palace, you will still find fault with that.
theV0ice: Yes o. They've been settling me for comprehension lessons and basic English tutorials e.g educating them on the fact that stealing is a form of corruption
So how much did they finally say is missing? Nothing?
$1.48 billion and they have been asked to refund the same. That one has been removed from your handle. Happy Sunday! if you are a moslem, asalamalekum
Yesterday evening I went to swim and I met a government contractor lodged in the same hotel.
He does not want GEJ back. His grouse with GEJ is that since he came, he is no longer making money the way he was making from contracts. He confirmed that though his money now comes straight into his account without interference, that he preferred the pre-Jonathan era when things were not as tight. That now, they check the validity of any contract before money is paid out and the guy dey fall hand for business.
Then I asked him what do you think in his performance in Agriculture(Adesina), he said he has done well I mentioned Aganga(Trade and investment) he said very well. he said NOI has done well too and went ahead to add the minister for works mike Onolememen. He said the man has done well too. Transport, he is impressed
And I asked, why won't you vote for him since you know all these? He said, he is not feeling him in his business. He wants things to go back to easier ways.
I told him about Sam Ohuabunwa's opening statement in his article where he said that good performance means different things to different people. He was a typical example of people who want him out because his reforms have reduced undue profit.
GEJ is fighting a hydraheaded monster. God is his strength
ellechrystal: Mr brainless goon, that is extremely daft in comprehension...I said some but ur brainless skull thought I said all. Too bad go to school n stop sounding like a political tout that u r. Stark illitrate syndrome running all over ur body. Go n die for all I care. I gave my opinion n if u think it doesn't favour ur useless n wasted self u may want to take a leap off d nicely built niger bridge. Coward.
mcquin: Seriously this is now stale. Grow up and move pass those lines bro. Oil price is fast declining and so many other countries are not depending on it.
Lastly i've been to the north, Kano precisely they live basicly on agriculture. Hoes and cutlass produce those onions, beans etc you live on.
briefness: This is for an organised society that thrives on rule of law. Our own society is governed by the whims of those belonging to the largest party in Africa unfortunately. Until this is #Changed , do not expect any thing better.
If it was US, Buhari would not get a mention with his certificate saga.
barcanista: We keep reading and listening to rhetorics yet Nigerians are still suffering with economy shattered. We don't just want to hear stories, we need to feel it and experience it. We can only do that under Muhammadu Buhari's administration. Jonathan is a clueless failure
You are not being sincere because the last time he came, he rather destroyed the economy than build it. He did not cut off foreign investment, he closed down the borders so that local industries were starved of raw materials leading to the downsizing n closure of many.
He also used price control to sell off people's goods ridiculously below cost price leading to the closure of those businesses and loss of jobs.
jorlons: If you think they can't then indeed you are mistaken. However, the US hates this administration little wonder they re-offered training assistance if the elections were not shifted.
We stopped their training assistance, they didn't suspend it. So no point reoffering.
mikeansy: This gives credence to the allegation that Amaechi was sharing dollars at APC convention on Buhari's behalf
Was Amaechi enroute abroad when he gave this interview? Why is he carrying that amount of foreign currency in his suits when he is on a local engagement in Nigeria?
Bobbysworld28: Yes, we must and at the same time try to demand accountability from whoever we support. This is what we owe this country and our children
Not contesting that sir.
I'm just against people who live in glass house throwing stones.
If we must seek change it has to be something better than what we have and change for the sake of it.
Bobbysworld28: And once again, pls understand this. That one does not support Gej doesnt mean dt the person is supporting Gmb. I discern dt u r having difficulty understanding that. Ur submission and plenty others against Gej should show u dt these two candidates do not show d best Nigeria can boast of.
Agreed not the best options but we have to choose from between them.
Bobbysworld28: R u trying to defend GEJ? Pls dont! It will be most unfair to u. To defend this administration is to dumb down on so many levels
To defend Buhari's inadequacies and negative records as difficult as looking for a premiership green footbal pitch in sahara desert.
It is easier for me to defend GEJ than to defend that one
I hope you read my defence
Like I said there, PWC audit is out to show that most of your talking handles are falsehood. This administration is maligned because North wants power back and you can see it in the revelation of Jega's dealings with NEF.
1. The alleged release of PVCs to persons (traditional rulers, politicians etc.) other than the voters themselves. 2. The alleged meetings and correspondence with, and collection of equipment from the NEF. In these charged times, INEC cannot afford accusations of questionable association with partisan interest groups. 3. The alleged non-delivery of caravans and other hardware necessary for polls holding in a week's time. 4. The alleged lack of training of INEC staff for an election which holds in a weeks time.
I can tell you that poll staff will be going for training today everything being equal Returning officers and others are yet to be trained. That is true
And they claimed they have the minutes of the supposed meetings. Those are very interesting developments.
I agree with you on those...... No 1 point was reported about a week ago, In fact it was reported that he had a shouting match with commissioners of southern extraction who told him INEC was not ready. Tooo bad!
1. Jega has been meeting secretly with northern leaders and avowed enemies of GEJ re-election 2. Jega has agreed to play, but he wants the leaders to help him recruit more electoral commissioners who may help with plan 3. Jega has 2 sets of plans, one(the most favorable) for the north, and the o the for the south 4. Under this plan, Jega received 150 lap tops per state, used to enroll minors and kindergarten children as eligible voters 5. Note, Jega wants PVCs handed over to the emirs, chiefs, and community leaders in the north, while every southerners has to pass through the eye of a needle 6. Of course we know that Jega gave more than 20k new polling units to the north, and 8k to the whole south 7. Jega awarded contract to PVC to unknown people outside federal guidelines.
More to come
Good summary
These are grave allegations They said they have the minutes of the meetings hmmmm watching in 3D
The only thing I am waiting for is INEC's response to these allegations. Remember: there are always two sides to a story.
Some of the comments in the write-up by Messrs Clark and Co. were just a waste of reading time. But some of them were troubling enough to cast some doubt on INEC's impartiality as the umpire . And yet once again, the write up casts grave doubts on INEC's readiness to conduct these elections next week.
As I said on another thread -INEC has to issue a statement within 24 hours stating whether or not it is ready for the elections. That is the immediate task requiring attention. And after that, the allegations by Mr. Clark and friends have to be addressed. (That is, the ones worth addressing).
Can you mention the ones that are worth your time?
