RomanceRe: Does Chauvinism Generate Successful And Happy Relationships? by Agassa: 7:40pm On Nov 04, 2012
Mrs.Chima:
Does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships?

There are loads of slobbering boys slithering all over Nairaland crying that feminism is the reason why relationships and marriages are failing. Even said feminism is the reason why a man upper cut a woman on the bus! undecided Now bear in mind...the lady spit on the driver after being told repeatedly to get off the bus. That is a classic example of ignorance to the tenth degree.

It is important that we know proper definitions of words we are going to use in our arguments because it can make us look like a fool. With that being said...chauvinism is when male group think they are superior/better than the female group.

Let compare the difference between chauvinism, feminism, misandry, and misogynism.

Chauvinism=(read the definition in bold) A man thinks that he is better than his female counterparts in every attributes and doesn't value her input. Is that something that you want in your relationship ladies?

Feminism=is an organized activity on women rights and interests. When did fighting for female-human rights is a lesbian and misandry eventhuh Why would a woman in her right man settle for less than equality when nothing in life is promised to her? what happens if the man dies and how would she support herself? You already see threads asking is it okay to date a widow?!! Come on!

Misandry=hatred for men (Misandrist do not interact nor have sexual relationship with men)

Misogynism-hatred for women (Misogynist do not interact nor have sexual relationship with women)

Now that we have the proper definition of all four words....does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships?

Why do you think some men feel threatened by women knowing and fighting for their rights as human being? Do you think that it is the end of male superiority? Do you think low self esteem and lack of trust play a great part in failing relationships?

Does chauvinism generate successful and happy relationships....the point of the question is because some people are saying feminism is the reason why relationships are failing. Do you agree or disagree?
Like seriously,are u married?(No pun intended)

Conclusion

Final words

Those hoping for an X-is-better-than-Y-period-! answer will be disappointed. The way the crowd at a boxing match will feel about a win on points instead of a knockout. Like someone running for office wins debates to lose an election.

Let's not get carried away though. It's just phones. Worse yet, they're soon to be last season's phones. Yet, we all vote for them with our hearts, minds and, ultimately, wallets. So, which one is better?

We know you look to our conclusions for buying advice and some kind of closure. We don't think you need to look any further. Just this once, go a few pages back. Each individual category was won by either the Apple iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S III.

It's up to you to go over the ones that matter to you and tally the score. And don't be swayed by popular opinion. The smartphone is probably the most personal thing you own (it knows your friends, has your photos, goes everywhere with you), so it's up to you to decide which one is best.

Before you look at the price of either phone, there's one last thing to consider - how invested you are in either ecosystem already. For example, you may have iPhone accessories worth a few hundred dollars (though the iPhone 5 pretty much wiped the slate clean on this one), or maybe various apps you've bought and don't want to lose.

That leads us to price and the difference is by no means negligible. SIM-free the iPhone 5 is probably the most expensive smartphone on the market right now, topping the Samsung Galaxy S III in Europe by almost 200 euros.

But then, resale value is another thing you might want to look at, after all it won't be long before the next Galaxy S and iPhone generation is out, tempting you to upgrade. Of course, you can easily use the Galaxy S III and iPhone 5 for a couple of years and not feel too far behind the flagship du jour.

Some would say that the most damning verdict for the iPhone 5 is that it's trading blows with a smartphone that came to the market 5 months before it, instead of wiping the floor with it. Others will point to the fact that the Galaxy S III took three months to achieve the sales numbers that the Apple flagship already has.

In the end, the iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S III argument comes down to portability vs. screen size, LCD vs. AMOLED, closed vs. open, Apple vs. Samsung. The latter have been in and out of court for a while now but this particular dispute won't be settled in a courtroom. You'll be the judge, so the winner doesn't have to be the one with the better lawyers.

stpat1: The problem is that I am very slow to anger. It will take a whole lot to get me angry and I think that's what's she's capitalising on. I will surely get my pound of flesh someday and it will be a period she least expects it. I will go ahead with the wedding and after about 4 years, I will so make her life miserable that she would wish she remained single
You be 'weak man'.

I think there's some truth to what Seun is saying. For me 'mary j' is better cos d fume is less dense, doesn't contain any additive and it doesn't give chest and body pain like cigar.I think igbho is not getting d respect it deserves. Although, its not for everyone, likewise milk!
CareerRe: The Minimum Salary A Wise Graduate Should Not Decline Nowadays. by Agassa: 10:44pm On Oct 31, 2012
TayoT: A graduate in Nigeria should receive a Minimum of 100,000/month. But it also depends on location and proximity to work. But economically, anything less than this is below poverty line
This comment above just made me realise how truly Blessed I am.

kingingkinging: It is always difficult to give a loaded question and expect a blancket answer. Questions are always relative and answers too are relative.

What Mr A will call a bad salary; Mr B may accept. I have seen people who were ready to work without salary just to garner the relevant years of experience for better opportunity.

However, if we want to pick an average salary, I think N60,000 for a start is not too bad. With that you can:
1. Pay your T. fare=N15,000 a month (highest)
2. Pay your tithe=N6000
3. Feed yourself=N18,000 @N600 per day
4. Cloth yourself=N5000 @ N2,500 per shirt (avg)
5. Save remaining N16,000 for future use eg writing of professional exams, etc.
