A Zimbabwean lady has revealed in a trending video the Nigerian show that got her fellow Zimbabweans obsessed with Nigerian movies.
The video was shared on a popular twitter handle and is gathering comments from users across Africa who are also obsessed with Nolloywood.

Users from Ghana, Kenya, and other African countries believe the situation is the same in their countries.

The Zimbabwean lady talked about the popularity of Nigerian movies and TV shows in Zimbabwe and that Nollywood movies and TV shows are broadcast regularly on Zimbabwe's national TV station, ZBC (Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation).

Nigerians who fled Ukraine to Poland are currently on their way back to Nigeria. They boarded the evacuation flight from the Chopin Airport Warsaw Poland this afternoon and would be arriving in Nigeria in no time.

More than 100 diplomats from some 40 countries have walked out of a speech by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the United Nations in Geneva as a protest against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Tuesday’s boycott by envoys from the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and others left only a few diplomats in the room.

Those remaining at the Human Rights Council meeting included Russia’s ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, who is a former deputy to Lavrov.

An unidentified man has burnt to death while trying to pull a stunt in a masquerader attire in Anambra State.

Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened at Ogbunike, during the Eli’m Ede Cultural Festival, on Saturday.

The Eli’m Ede Festival is an annual event, where masqueraders of various sizes and shapes gather at the village square to entertain indigenes.

An eyewitness said the masquerader attendants, while leading the masquerader to Amawa Square to entertain the waiting spectators, had pulled a fire stunt in front of the masquerader, which was sitting on the ground, but immediately extinguished it.

He said, “After they extinguished the fire, unknown to the attendants, the fire had entered the raffia costume worn by the masquerader, and before they could put it off, it spread all over the masquerade and burnt the masquerader.”

It was learnt that the masquerader, who sustained serious burns, was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead on Monday evening.
