I bought 6lamps from the market , positioned them at 6corners of a dark hexagonal-building at about 8:30pm all lamps functioning well, using all/any of the lamps . in how many ways can the building be illuminated ?

=> dy/dx =(sec^2 x)/(tanx) * (4+y^2)/y
=> ydy/(4+y^2) = (sec^2 x)/(tanx)dx

integrating both sides we have

=>1/2ln(4+y^2) = ln(tanx) +lnC

= ln√(4+y^2) =ln(Ctanx)

= > √(4+y^2) = Ctanx.

or y^2 = (Ctanx)^2 -4

that's it
