thats true because its 97%quality 100%strength and yet africa magic is not showing only NTAi and Lagos tv and go channel,the guy who sold it to my anty said they is a promo and all the channels are open for new users,so i connect it and put the antenner at the window and it begin to show but the channels were already there i did not scan it myself

guys if you keep the gotv antener inside the house with great signal will it refuss to show some channels

trust me,it has.i have been with a friend who repairs decoder and some guy brought it for repairs same problem infact it has its own ic if u use another ic the number might not display thou its ic number ix small

4950,well if you go for that one please buy and external fan and you are good,cause the ic burns easily.first the number on the front panel will not display well thats how it start

Greetings to u all....pls i want to buy a new decoder but am confused of which to go for.... I currently contemplating btw SRT 4950H and 4922A/D ...... Most gurus in d house will agree with me dat 4950 series takes longer time to register signal when tracking n yet its said to be running on 667MHz with 2gb memory.....while the lower processor 550MHz 128mb 4922 series tend to register signal faster when tracking.... Again how does the 2gb of 4950 n d 128mb of 4922 affect d performance...if am not mistaken dat should be RAM size of both stb...if yes,then u all will agree dat 4950 should be running smoothly n faster than 4922... Why then do gurus often advice against buying 4950 but give a go for 4922.... Is it simply because 4950 is more sophisticated n complicated to operate n 4922 is more user friendly.... Pls gurus talk to me b4 i go n buy what i will regret or what will not favour me in d future in terms of FTA capabilities..
I would hav loved to wait for SRT multi stream series ,but who knows when strong will release it..

go for 4950,when i first start using the 4950 to track it was difficult but when i catch its drift it became useful and easy,let me explain if you want to track 26.5°e the moment you put it on badr 4/5/6 ,it shows you 45%when you turn it to the side that badr is i mean the currect side the meter will read 65% ,if you turn the wrong side it will drop,so when u start lifting it up or down depending were u begin from it will start increasing to 70%-85% then you are at the right side the moment the meter reads 90%,you are there just swing ur dish left or right and you will hit green thats all,i tell you its that simple

They are selling it at the rate of nine thousand five hundred naira only (#9500:00k) at SOBIS, Onitsha branch. The processor (550MHz) is the same with 4922(A)...too small...memory is 128 Megabytes... too small. I still prefer 4950 series that has bigger processor (667MHz) with 2 Gigabytes memory even though that 4950 series is tedious to operate.

the problem of this decoder is the ic problem,it burns so fast as if it is caused by over heat or something,maybe an extra fan iz needed

yes thats the one , now look closely inside your c band lnb you will find a place will a space on each side inside the lnb just let the yellow rectangular plate slide between that space thats all
