Internet is a global networking that connects billions of computers using internet protocol suite (IP / TCP). However, internet has become a home for business man over some years back. In fact, many organization and private owner owns their business on the internet, just because they know the power of the internet. Billions of computer devices are connected, awaiting latest information about the ongoing businesses. To be frown, farmers find it difficult to understood the power of this tool. I was on chat with one farmer, he ask me on how to market his turkey. I quickly asked him 'Have you showcase them on the internet?' With fast reply, he said No ' How will this EPP?' I was shocked ! Agricultural business is beyond funding and farming. In fact, where the problem and stress lies is the marketing stage. However, advance agricultural business should include internet as one of the marketing tools. Farmers spend most of their time on farm working, monitoring their farm produce. However, neglecting the time that should be spent on the internet. If I should ask you ' When was the last time you logon to the internet?' The average farmers will not even remember his last time on the internet. Here, am not talking about chat— am talking about the time you spend accessing the web for agricultural news, research and marketing.
Agricultural business requires your engagement with the internet. However, on my first time on the internet, when I was connected I don't even know where to surf as a newbie. In fact, the first website advert that I click was my favourite website then...lol
I will explain how you can make use of the internet wisely as a farmer. The internet is global, billions of people are connected with different interest. Hence, this write ups will help farmers on the usage of the internet— to improve their agricultural business.
As a farmer, these are what you need to surf online:

1. Social media websites:
Social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are very powerful as far as internet is concern. As a farmer, you need to be socially connected with your customers online. This can be achieve by creating account with Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. The problem now is how to make use of these social media website as a marketing tools.
There are lot of funs when you log into your social media account, always have it in mind that you login for business deal...lol

1. On your Facebook account, create a fan page and a community group. Invite your customers to like your fan page and add them to your group. Update your fanpage with the latest agro products.

4. Join agricultural forum or community
There are many agricultural forum that you can join such as Nairaland— Agricultural section. You can also join agricultural community on Reddit where you can share your idea with many farmers, you can also learn new concept from others.
Farmers need the internet, farmers can also be a celebrity. I love agriculture, I love the farmers.

Aeroponics is all about the cultivation of plants in a small space without using any medium, either soil or water. Instead, the root of the plants are suspended in a chamber where they will be periodically sprayed with nutrients rich solution. Are you confuse? Aeroponics has brought ease to agricultural business in the real life. However, aeroponics is also similar to hydroponics, hydroponics make use of water as the medium instead of soil. In this article, I will explain the reasons why I recommended aeroponics for farmers.
1. It is more easier compared to soil plantation

4. High production and less nutrients supply
It is generally known that fertilizers and manures are important in crops yield and growth. However, if your soil is less rich in manure it can cause poor growth and low yield. Hence, you will need to spend money buying enough of fertilizer and manure to enhance a better yield. For aeroponics, less nutrients and water is consume by plants. In fact, there is high yield of products and abundance produces compared to the soil that is fortified with manures.
5. You don't need to bother on soil pH, pollution, tilling
In soil cultivation, knowing the soil pH and the soil nutrients status is very important. This should be done because there are some plants that fails to survive on acidic soil. However, you also need to know the nutrients present in your soil before applying fertilizers. In fact, there are soils that has been contaminated with heavy metals such as lead, mercury..e.t.c
You need to do soil test to know all these, however, it can be stressful a times and cost demanding. Aeroponics doesn't require all these before you can start farming.
6. No weeding, less disease transfer
Are you tired of weeding or pest control? If yes, then you need to change your mind away from soil cultivation to aeroponics. In aeroponics, crops are planted separately. However, it gives no chance for plants contact where disease can be transferred. If one plants is suspected to be contaminated with disease, it can be easily removed without spreading to others. Moreover, there is little chances for weeds to grow. In many cases, there is no weed at all.
As will all know that there is nothing without disadvantage. The cons related to aeroponics are:
1. It may be capital intensive for commercial farming.
2. Aeroponics can't be use for all crops. It is mostly for vegetables... Such as tomatoes, cabbage...e.t.c
