I think they sent out regret mail for GMTP and GAP first, So lets look forward to GAAP's mail today and GMTP and GAP success mails or in subsequent days.
Easter Monday sha....

GAAP candidates are always last to get mail but first to interview. Hmmmm.... have not gotten any email.

Wow.... today is easter monday.. i didn't expect that they'd work today.
Who else has gotten a reply or is it just for gmtp? Any GAP or GAAP with feedback?

Abeg who created easter monday other than people travelling back to their base after easter sunday, cos if am correct today should be Doubting Thomas Day.

It is clear the first interview was by HR panel and this second interview was by the managers. Usually, a standardized interview should be 3 or 4 stages. Now having met middle or senior managers (cos i noticed a lot of cars and SUVs parked outside) and also with rumours calming 2 more stages, which am thinking would be documentation, benchmarking or medicals, because if we have to sit with another panel higher than the last level of managers, it would certainly be the CEOs Mr. Cole or a panel of Jesus and his angels, because having Mr. Cole and co would be misappropriation of top management's time.

I think we are only 29 left...GAAP candidates. And they will succeed in cutting off about 18-20 candidates, i dont think GAAP will be more than 5 candidates. Plus i heard there are two more interview stages. I was equally asked on why i was asked to bring papers.... my answer hovered around having analytical skills, i found it weird that they first asked questions about how recession started and how to resolve it and what is the aim of promoting SMEs. then asked me to speak on a topic i found interesting. I also felt they were assessing presentation, time management and communication skills. I spoke about stock market's latest results, felt extremely comfortable discussing stocks.
I was tempted to ask how many more stages left but i thought this was the right time so i skipped that.
I guess results after easter break. ......... i wish everyone luck and i'd really wish to work with the GAAP team that i met yesterday. ..... funnny and well informed people. Meanwhile who else has noticed that Sahara has not yet asked for credentials or checked Nysc certificate, o levels and bsc certificates or any of those age requirements things...... i guess one of the next levels with be benchmarking. My thoughts

Today was 'discussive'...... you basically have questions about the economy, recession, cbn policy, how to improve the economy, being thrown at you by a 5 man panel. I was tensed i entered but we had a little detour on introduce yourself in 30secs and a good laugh as well. The confidence began to stroll in gradually till it came back on fully. Then came the questions and i was answering using figures and so on. And then they asked if i found any other interesting article in the papers and asked me to discuss...... took a while and aftet that if i had any questions and it was a wrap. So all best guys.

Either a personal presentation or a group presentation... pick a finance topic and analyze. Connect the dots!.... prepare well o

I think next stage is an assessment centre... presentation, group presentation, group discussion to assess how well you play within a team and your analytical skills for group discussions. We GAAP were asked to come with finance focused newspaper so am expecting a discussion on recent finance topics from cbn new forex policy and its impacts, to oil price tussle, to US bombing syria and its impacts to Brexit news to TBills to stock market, monetary and fiscal policy. Am sure most of us have gotten them papers anyways.
Be prepared plus i think a proper interview will follow next and there mayb lunch time observation as well. Prepare and still keep an open mind.

just saw gaap email.... we should come with a copy of financial times or business day newspaper..... according to them, I find finance news interesting dated btw 4th-7th april. 11th april same venue 10.30.....

Has any one at all received success or regret email from sahara? specifically Accounting and Audit program. I thought that by now they would have sent out emails. anyways lets see how this week goes.

So sahara Gaap, prepare for a test on all areas of accounting, tax computation, debit n credit, reconciliation, internal control n audit, risk management strategies, definition of terms in all areas, just finished a 2 hr test strictly testing your background in accounting, next up brief interview.
Definitely tried but it could have been better if the lady that wrote yesterday threw more light about her experience on the test, so herez my own little contribution. .... keep this thread alive

Any info on the accounting and audit assessment, i got a mail requesting to come with scientific calculator. They may test quantitative and analytical skills. For those who had theirs today how did it go.

I wrote on rio olympics.... i used my head o... i just remembered it was in rio but i didnt remember the year and i remembered nigerians forgot their costumes and daloung refused to pay falcons in womens world cup..... basically it doesn't hv to be a real tournament its about your writing skills

I took mine today, write article for sports magazine on nigeria's performance at the recently concluded international sports tournament. ... i just feel 60% confident for a pass ... i am really hoping for the best. All the best guys

All 41 reporting standards + 16 new reporting standards..... highest they may ask you to explain the ones you are familiar with, in this case am very familiar with a handful. I wont be specifically for petroleum industry. I think it will involve the concepts and principles and tax questions and audit.... and a case study in accounting. All the same... preparation begats confidence

Guys..... lets not over think this, in every riddle the answer is always right in front of you. Think of the answer we have given so far that meets at least 95% of the description. An album is not as thin as a newspaper, a diary too, cd cannot be rumpuled, infact if it cannot be squeezed its not the answer.
Meanwhile, i wonder what the interview for accounting and audit will be like, probably the reporting standards, auditing standards, book keeping, tax questions.... i hope.... share your thoughts please

Ok.... i applied for accounting and audit... i might as well contribute. Guys i strongly believe its a newspaper. Its thin, colorful, gaining independence was once a dream for nigerians and am sure such papers can be found it archives. Its going pics, speeches, you wave your hands turning the pages still cant destroy the content... it can be crinkled (rumpuled) and crisp (easily torn). Print media thats d answer.... so where an old TELL magazine or yesterday's sun newspaper. Its a print media document

Going with d cd line of thought.... how about an old record, you know the types our fathers played on their megaphone.... even b4 radios came out. Old king sunny ade or oliver d'coque record that are flat black and round. Easily breakable
