I applied too but i didn't get an invite for the test, it seems that most invited candidates are all qualified acca/ican members because that is the only criteria that i am working towards as acca student.
Oh well am very optimistic that we will nail it next time... just have to keep trying.

Its not all the 2 million corpers that pay the 3045 naira oo.... besides they spend way more per person eg 1500 and 1000 and 19800 and cost of running camps, operations in all 37 states. If that was a business it would faill.... its clear nysc gets grants from elsewhere, which is clearly not sustainable anymore.
Am with this most recent batch my dear gone are the days when people actually did service for the love and adventure of it, i am currently walking through the scheme like a zombie just to get the almighty certificate . You force me to work for almost for free in rural and underdeveloped areas in a field that i have zero passion for and you want me to be self reliant after a year? How? How do i become self reliant as a teacher do i get my own school after 1 year from the government? Or do i join the queue of unpaid teachers still relying on govt or private proprietors.

So what did i do, my advice to anyone doing nysc is..... dont let these insensitive policy makers in our country derail you from your dreams, they dont realise that if one Nigerian achieves his or her dream, nigeria will attain greater heights, instead they always put barriers to everything admission into schools, studying in school, even employement after school or practicing what you studied in school.
Nigeria's unemployment crisis sterns from the fact that it doesn't value its graduates. Because of the quantity of graduates out there, even an nysc official told us that we are not the only graduates out there, nothing special about us. So my dear, i didnt let nysc ruin a whole year of my life, i went and met some professional firms and am currently working as a trainee finance assistant.
If these insensitive policy makers wont adjust to present day reality of a Nigerian youth, then corruption will always be there to help the youths get away from insensitive schemes like the nysc and jamb.
They fail to realise that unemployment rate has a negative correlation with economic growth, if no one is working in this country, nobody is adding to the gdp, economic growth remains stagnant, its simple economics not rocket science lets not be sentimental over national orientation civil war bull crap.
How can you pull a medical doctor who has been working from his well paying job to go and be earning peanuts in a rural area. Is nysc creating unemployment or ending it? What of people who already have businesses, do they leave it for one year, running at a loss? I know how many jobs i've lost just because i dont have the nysc certificate, so my dear corpers, dont let nysc fool you, civil war happened over 40 years ago, do not suffer or loose your dreams over it, i learnt how to be corrupt from nysc scheme o, because if they subject everyone to an unreasonable and agonistic scheme, some people are bold enough to grease any palm greasable to get out of it and face reality. So.... they can take all the time in the world before it gets scrapped, my children wont go through this, i will see to it personally by then.
Nysc doesn't support the dreams of any Nigerian youth, rather it just teaches you the barest minimum and survival skills in the wild, and of course corruption. I recommend that nysc be scrapped or reviewed to introduce national apprenticeship scheme, for graduates to gain experience in their field for a year, in their own state and they will be paid a national apprenticeship allowance. There is no way anyone won't get experience to go into the world and multiply.

I got pushed to kano. So am working on getting med report to redeploy to nasarawa after camp. But lets make this camp less depressing than it is.

Just getting abuja from kano is restricted to marital grounds

You know the thing, the two states kano and nasarawa which i have been deployed to and will likely be redeployed to nobody has even thought about starting up a thread for any of them.... i guess we are all still recovering from the shock, the happy ones who got rivers, delta, abuja lagos have already started a thread.
Dont worry i will still be depressed throughout the 14 hours journey to kano. If i probably get redeployed to nasarawa am most likely sleeping under a bridge my first night there

I feel so depressed being told that i cant redeploy from kano back to abuja after camp cos am not married not even on grounds of health matters.

Honestly i dont see any value in being forced to suffer for one year and rendering almost free labour in return for peanuts. And being mistreated with all these unfair bye laws eg if i say am not doing nysc again i will be declared wanted, is that a joke? am not military, am a bloody civilian and would love to remain one.
If there was no nysc in Nigeria, i would have been well on my way to the labour market, so that i can work take care of myself and family. Yet these fools are busy derailing people from their life plans and goals within the next one year in the name of serving father land. What has this country done for any of its citizens other than use and misuse their electoral and fundamental human rights.
Gosh! Who even makes these rules, the worsť part is that all this nonsense falls within my ACCA exam period, this is just going to be a very depressing and sad 12months period. Ok a faith lady keeps sending me emails to get the original copy of my waec results from my school. I have given her the one i collected shortly after high school and online print out results but she insists that a waec certificate must have passpory photo and date of birth.
The one i have doesn't have pic or dob but carries my high school letter heading.
I really dont know of anyone waec certificate cos i used these one to get into undergrad and postgrad studies.

Ok i just got my medical report from abia state general hospital to be able to redeploy back to abuja from kano. I just called kano nysc secretariat and the guy said redeployment back to abuja is not possible, katsina secretariat said abuja redeployment is strictly based on marital grounds..... other than the fact that am seriously thinking of marrying the love of my life who is resident in abuja, am also thinking of redeploying to a neighboring state jos or nassarawa.
Can anyone confirm this abuja redeployment condition?

But the scenerio is that i have regular checks up with a private hospital in gwarimpa which nysc wont accept. Am not where near abj right now, so i'd hv to make due with abia.

Asthma could be mild, moderate or severe.
Its a chronic long term illness that has no cure but can only be managed. Its caused when the airways are inflammed and continously becomes narrow giving little passage space for air and difficulty in breathing. Severe cases could lead to death in one attack if not managed properly

hello everyone, i just got a successful BAT response and was invited to submit my original credentials. even thought the email is confusing saying "scan" you original credentials and submit in person at their address in V.I by 20th wednesday, that is tomorrow by 12 noon. my problem right now is that i live in the east, i know i summoned courage to go to lagos to write the first test and sat in that vehicle throughout all the uncomfortable hours and came out with an ass flatter than a sand paper. but cant i just submit the soft copy to them via email? i mean its just to submit your credentials do i have to come all the way to submit soft copies?
another thing that bothers me, is that i will soon be going for nysc camp, and i will be sure to miss out on the next stage A.C, is it safe to just reschedule my a.c. sometimes i wish the recruitment process wasn't so lagos oriented. Klyveld, Peat, Marvick and Goerdeler is a global company, i once took an aptitude test for KPMG malaysia and london without even knowing where their offices are in the city. i guess i'd have to call them otherwise, i have to look for a way and appear in lagos by noon tomorrow, and with fuel price now.... those transport companies will just save your head when you ask how much.

I got the email for BAT, one needs to tailor his or her answers to kpmg's core values, in every scenerio always ask yourself, "what would kpmg do".
Imagine if i didnt check my email this morning for feedback on world bank analyst program tests i took i wouldn't have seen kpmg's invite and would have missed the deadline by 1pm today. I would have been hoping on the lady's word of mouth that the results will be out 2 to 3 weeks..... mtchew. That lady on 9th was somewhat rude though.

I submitted but I can't provide an arrival stamp until I come back home later this month, so my application has not been evaluated and my number will be sent via sms. I felt ambushed cause I was surprised when I saw limited categories, so I chose abuja, kano, lagos and rivers. I really wish to be posted to lagos but I feel the arrival stamp that am yet to provide will impede or enhance thr lagos probability.
Anyway, if I dont get lagos, am certainly not going to the north, I'll just join next batch.

What do you think, is this delay good for getting the third choice good or bad
