In a move underscoring his deep community ties, Honourable Olamilekan Olalekan Akindipe (Lampholder), the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Ajeromi Ifelodun, made a significant return to the Peace Arena Forum on Randle Road, Apapa, on Tuesday the 16th of June. The visit wasn't just a homecoming; it was a strategic mobilization. Akindipe, a former Chairman of the influential socio-business forum, was met with resounding enthusiasm from members – many of whom are business owners residing and operating within Ajeromi Ifelodun, particularly Ajegunle. The Peace Arena Forum represents a critical bloc of engaged, local stakeholders – precisely the grassroots network essential for turning out votes. Akindipe's history with the group reinforces his "jagaban" credentials and understanding of Ajegunle's unique dynamics. The Forum members, especially the small and medium-scale business owners, voiced strong optimism. They see Akindipe’s candidacy as "a beacon of hope, light 'Imole', and tangible victory" for Ajeromi Ifelodun’s future, directly linking his leadership to improved economic opportunity and community development. "Hon. Lampholder isn't just a candidate; he's one of us," stated Mr. Sherif Balogun, during the reception. "His track record here and his clear vision give us confidence. He understands business, he understands Ajegunle, and he understands what it takes to move Ajeromi forward. This is the leadership we need." Akindipe engaged directly with members, discussing his plans for enhancing the local business environment, infrastructure, and inclusive governance – priorities resonating deeply with the Forum's commercial backbone. The event also served as an opportunity to further distribute the campaign’s signature "Imole" (Light) branded materials, solidifying visibility and unity.

AJEROMI IFELODUN JUNE 3, 2025 The foundation of our campaign is built here: in the wards. Today, that foundation got stronger. All Ward Chairmen of the Ajeromi Ifelodun APC, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the LGA Executives and elected Councillors, delivered a powerful message: total organizational support for our Chairmanship flag bearer, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe (Lamp Holder), and the Vice Chairmanship candidate. This wasn't just congratulations. This was a commitment. It signals the entire party machinery at the grassroots level – the people who turn out voters street by street – is locked in, organized, and ready to execute. Recognizing that visibility equals momentum, Team Lamp Holder activated its field operation with the official launch of the "Imole" campaign brand. Branded T-shirts and face caps – symbols of our message of light, transparency, and people-focused governance – were distributed immediately to party faithful. These aren't just shirts; they're tools. They turn supporters into visible advocates. They build identity. They fuel the energy needed to carry our message door-to-door across every ward in Ajeromi Ifelodun. Unity is essential, but unity alone doesn't win. Organization wins. Execution wins. Today's show of force by the Ward Chairmen, LGA executives, and Councillors demonstrates the campaign structure is in place. The "Imole" brand rollout gives our volunteers the tools to be seen and heard. Now, the work intensifies: translating this unified support and clear message into votes on election day. Ajeromi Ifelodun under the focused leadership of Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe. This team is built to deliver it. NOW! Join our movement for victory—or witness our triumph from the sidelines. Truth is light, and light is coming to Ajeromi. By God’s grace, Lamp Holder will win on July 12. #TruthIsLight #AJIFImole #LampHolderVictory #ImoleAJIF #Unifiedly Echoing

While it is clear that Africa has largely underachieved on the global stage, some of her representatives have put in strong performances at World Cups. Here are some of the more impressive outings by African countries. Algeria 1982 Despite controversially failing to advance beyond the Group Stage, Algeria made history in two ways. First, they became the first African team to defeat a former World Cup champion, defeating an arrogant Germany 2-1 in the opening match. Second, despite winning two of their three matches, the manner in which they exited prompted FIFA to change its round-robin scheduling rules. Algeria believed they had done enough to advance after shocking Germany and beating Chile 3-2. However, Austria and Germany played out a cooperative, disgraceful 1-0 result in the final group match, ensuring that they both qualified instead. The public in Gijon could see it as well, and they protested by waving white handkerchiefs. Although they did not advance, the Algerian team of Rabah Madjer, Lakhdar Belloumi, and others captured the imagination. Following the injustice they experienced, FIFA mandated that all final group matches be played simultaneously. Cameroon 1990 The Indomitable Lions established the gold standard of African World Cup performance in 1990. They made their intentions clear early on, defeating reigning world champions Argentina 1-0 in a brutal, hard-fought match before defeating Romania to advance to the Round of 16. They then beat Colombia in extra time thanks to the quick thinking of star forward Roger Milla, becoming the first African country to reach the World Cup quarter-finals. There, they led England 2-1 going into the final 10 minutes before committing two penalties either side of the full-time whistle, resulting in an extra-time defeat. ONE OF THE FRUITS OF MY SUPPORT. I once asked a question and till date it has not been answered by anyone; here or elsewhere. To The Effect ... "For all the hate we say Buhari has for ndi Igbo (SE), has Buhari (as little as he has done according to some people) not done more in the area of infrastructure in the South East in 7 years than our beloved PDP did in 16 years put together? I am still waiting for an honest, verified and facts-backed answer to that vital question. Not Abuse or "We Do, We Do". But we keep moving. Posterity will do the judgement. For now I am super excited that for the first time in decades, my peeps will not sleep at the 2nd Niger Bridge this coming Christmas. My simple brotherly advise to anyone who this Muhammadu Okechukwu Buhari Bridge pains, because his or her enemy built it is simple. Whenever that one gets to the bridge after it is opened for use to lovers of good things this December, that one should alight and swim ♂️ across the river with his or her vehicle . That way too, that one will avoid paying Toll fee when it starts. #EmiLoKan #GodHasRememberedUs #ToGodBeTheGlory Originally Written By Uche Diala

"It is all about shifting grounds on the side of both parties. I had this issue of Strike in our tertiary institutions and we were able to resolve the issue. And today, if you go to NYSC camps across the nation you will find graduates from Kogi State higher institutions and those from the private universities. I came into office when ASUU was on strike and since we resolved that impasse , no higher institutions in the state has gone on strike. No students deserved to suffer as a result of industrial dispute between the government and the ASUU" - Gov Yahaya Bello, 19/08/2022

Ethiopian Empress Taytu Betul (1851 – 11 February 1918) was Empress of Ethiopia from 1889 to 1913. She was the third wife of Emperor Menelik II. An influential figure in anti-colonial resistance during the late 19th-century Scramble for Africa. Empress Taytu Betul along with her husband, founded the modern Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa in 1886. "Women marched alongside men to the battle at Adwa 126 years ago. Just like their men-folk, Ethiopian women were ready to sacrifice themselves to prevent colonialists from sneaking into their country, thus forcing their children to live in servitude. Empress Taytu Bitul is clearly a symbolic women she was not only a diplomat and stateswoman with resolve, but also an ingenious commandant versed in the art of war, a tactician par excellence. Taytu collected ten to twelve thousand women in the camp and issued water jugs to all of them, the army of another kind filled their jugs at the river and were ready to carry water to those who fought, wherever they stood. The Italian colonizers even appealed to her on the behalf of their commander as they started suffering from thirst. “Women’s role at the battle of Adwa revealed the truth that nothing can be done without the participation of women and it would be an exemplary deed for today’s effort to recognize women’s participation all over the world. We generally hear that Ethiopia won the battle. But we ignore the fact that women played decisive role in the victory. There were ten-thousands of women who prepared their fathers, brothers, husbands and sons for the war in which they also took part. All in all women were the leading force behind the victory of Adwa, they were preparing food and water, providing medical care for the wounded and they were following the soldiers with a slogan of ‘freedom or death’. Lets not forget the role of our great grandmothers.”

Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has urge commercial institutions in the state to commit to the fight against insecurity as part of their contributions to a safe and secured host society. The governor made this call at a meeting with the committee of Bankers in Kogi state at the Government House in Lokoja. The governor disclosed to the Bankers’ Forum the situation of rising insecurity in the country and the need to collaborate and synergise to fight the menace adding that although Kogi state has experienced peace, his government would remain vigilant. He said that insecurity had in recent times taken a new dimension in the country hence they must take a step ahead of the criminals and stamp out the menace. In a statement released by ONOGWU Muhammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Governor Bello urged them and other commercial centres in the state to fix high-tech CCTV cameras around their branches which would not just cover the banking premises but the neighbourhood as much as possible. He also urged that the CCTV should be manned during working hours. The spokesperson of the forum, Mr Asanato Sunday, an Assistant Director at the Central Bank commended the governor in his fight against insecurity in the state noting that the commercial institutions in the state would work to contribute to the fight against insecurity in the state. Recall that before the coming of the New Direction Government, Kogi State including the capital Lokoja witnessed incessant bank robberies which nearly submerged the operations of financial institutions in the State as nearly 15 bank robberies were recorded in the space of months between 2014 and 2015. The administration however made efforts to rid the state of such occurrences which in the last 6 years had since yielded great results.

Governor Bello inaugurates the Kogi State boundary committee …task them to ensure lasting resolution of lingering boundary tussles Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello has inaugurated a 15-man Kogi State Boundary Committee chaired by the Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja tasking them to work towards the lasting resolution of all lingering boundary concerns. During the event which took place on Friday at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, the governor noted that setting up such a committee was a responsibility in a bid to maintain peace and security knowing how notorious boundary conflict could be. He recalled that before his administration, there were boundary conflicts with some neighbouring states, within the states and even amongst communities and clans; however, his administration had been able to maintain peaceful co-existence. The Governor asserted despite sharing boundaries with over 9 states, his government had come up with its own initiative to maintain peace. He said that aside from the interstate meeting between Kogi State and the FCT in July, his government deemed it necessary to set up the Kogi State Boundary Committee drawing its legal backing from Section 24 (1) of the National Boundary Commission Act of 2006 which empowered state government in that regards. The Governor revealed that a Director General would be appointed for the committee which would most preferably be a civil servant in a bid to ensure the smooth daily running of the committee. In his response, the Deputy Governor and Chairman, of the Kogi State Boundary Committee thanked the Governor for his sterling leadership which has allowed the state to weather trying times even as regards boundary conflicts and crises. He assured that the committee would utilize their wealth of experience to navigate all existing conflicts amongst boundary states asserting that their first task was the delineation between the state and the Federal Capital Territory which would commence on Monday and span for 21 days. Life, they say, is a bundle of contradictions. For instance, what may look sane to Adejoh, may look insane to Ozovehe. It is then our responsibility to strike a balance. GYB has been making some of us proud. It is to his credit that we have forgotten about the dark age, as he drives us through the path of enormous developmental strides and various state of the Art infrastructures. This piece is not written to point accusing fingers or torment the previous Kogi State administrator, but to arouse a level of consciousness among kogite. Starkly speaking, Kogi state before the arrival of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, was left behind in the industrial and developmental race. The previous captains who piloted the state affairs looked away from developing scientific infrastructures. For a state or nation to show prosperity when lined side by side with other states, there has to be an accumulated proficient stock of scientifically based knowledge that would transform such a state into an era of innovative, industrialized economy. The previous Kogi State leaderships tried their respective best but truth be told, they failed to promote scientific and technological infrastructure to usher in a new Kogi. They couldn't give what they didn't possess. However, the Yahaya Bello-led administration brought hope through different scientific, technological and developmental infrastructures that if properly managed will usher in a new dawn and a prosperous future, where the children of the common man will be self-sufficient. The hope ushered in by this visionary administration is boldly and consciously vested in the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, CUSTECH, the Standard GYB model sciences schools across three senatorial districts. The Multimillion Naira State of the Art References Hospital, including the construction and equipping of Prince Abubakar Audu University for accreditation among others. Recently, the Alhaji Yahaya Bello-led administration approved 600 computers for the GYB model schools, he similarly approved the supply of additional medical equipment to Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching hospital. In a similar vein, the Kogi State Government is currently constructing the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of computer and information technology in Confluence University of Science and Technology. These developmental projects and huge investment in science and Technology would build Kogi state's capacity to produce goods and services of high value in the coming years. The journey to a greater Kogi among the comity of States should not be halted after the GYB administration. We have a huge responsibility as people with immeasurable potential, therefore we must be ready to decide our future by giving opportunities to men and women driven by vision and purposeful leadership. Dear Adejo, Ozovehe, Kehinde, I urge us not to slack at all, we must be purposive in choosing leaders that can galvanize a demoralized fellowship in the Journey to an industrialized and commercialized state. Purposively Echoing abubuhari96@gmail.com Abu Attah Buhari, echoing from Lagos Nigeria. #IyeyiExprex

The vultures by David Diop In those days When civilisation kicked us in the face When holy water slapped our cringing brows The vultures built in the shadow of their talons The bloodstained monument of tutelage In those days There was painful laughter on the metallic hell of the roads And the monotonous rhythm of the paternoster Drowned the howling of the plantations O the bitter memories of extorted kisses Of promises broken at the point of a gun Of foreigners who did not seem human You who knew all the books but knew not love Nor our hands which fertilise the womb of the earth Hands instinct at the root with revolt In spite of your songs of pride in the charnel-houses In spite of the desolate villages of Africa torn apart Hope lived in us like a citadel And from Swaziland’s mines to the sweltering sweat of Europe’s factories Spring will be reborn under our bright steps. Commentary This poem embodies some of the most powerful images of Africa’s colonial experience. European control of Africa, under the pretext of a civilising mission, is seen as closely allied to the work of the Christian missionaries in converting Africa to a religion which demands humility. As is usual with Diop, it is the speaking voice which begins this poem: first narrating, rising gradually to a vehement denunciation and, finally, proclaiming hope and release to the oppressed. The structure of the poem depends on the changes in the tone of the voice we hear speaking to us. Generalised metaphors of violence are followed by more specific images of oppression, indicating a more intense involvement of the narrator, until narration yields place to a direct address. The images of condemnation are strong, so that the more positive images of hope held up at the end of the poem inevitably appear weak beside them. Senanu, K. and Vincent, T. (1977). Following the recent coup that displaced the incapacitated administration of Alpha Conde of Guinea in the early morning of Sunday, September 05, 2021. The commander of Guinea’s Special Forces released a statement on national TV stating the reasons for the coup. He said: “the socio-economic situation of the country, the dysfunction of republic institutions, the instrumentalization of justice, the trampling of the rights of citizens, the financial mismanagement… Has led the republican army to resume its responsibility towards the sovereign of Guinea as a whole.” He continued, “after having arrested the president, who is right now with us, we have decided to dissolve the current Constitution, dissolve the institution and the government, and the closure of land and air borders” To the main question: who is the man behind the coup? Lieutenant Colonel Doumbouya. Colonel Mamady Doumbouya is a former legionnaire, a branch of the French army that recruits foreigners. The former French Legionnaire received military training in France, Israel, Senegal and Liberia. He participated in different missions in Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, Djibouti and the Central African Republic. In 2018, he was called to Guinea by President Alpha Conde to take charge of the newly formed Guinea’s Special Force. However, his attempt to make his Special Forces operate as an autonomous unit away from the Defense Ministry created some friction between him and the government. The French Legionnaires is known for recruiting foreign soldiers including those of African origins, especially citizens of former French colonies. They’ve been operating in Africa since the colonial days and still have a strong presence on the continent. Many Africans accused the legionnaire for numerous post-colonial coups that took place on the continent in the past decades. https://iyeyiexprex.com/guineas-coup-who-is-lieutenant-colonel-doumbouya-the-man-behind-the-coup-september-5-2021/

The Ruler of Iwoland, His Majesty Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has uncovered his plan to devote a day to celebrate the greatness of God tagged "Odun Olorun" God Festival. Oluwo revealed his readiness for the festival in a press statement through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, saying the festive session will be dedicated mainly to praising God. It should be reiterated that Oluwo has severally distinguished himself to be a liberal monarch without affiliation to any secret society or confraternity. He said the festival is a neutral gathering of people irrespective of religious and ethnic attachments purposely to acknowledge God for His guidance, protection, mercy, provisions, safety, stability, preservation and strengthen individuals despite all challenges confronting the world. "The Christians celebrate Christmas, Muslims are known for Eid-El Kabir and Eid El Fitri. As a mark of honour to God, and as a father to all cutting across ethnic and religious affiliations, and a monarch belonging to no secret society, I've dedicated a day to be tagged "Olodumare Festival, designed primarily to praise God for His protection, mercy, provisions, safety, stability, preservation and guidance over us. He alone has the exclusive power that spares our lives till now. He does the impossible. He created us from sand and gave us the power to rule over other creatures" "I will continuously promote God and never associate partner with HIM. I promote Him above everything. Idols and deities are making of men. I'm a commandant over deities" "We have scheduled November 9th, 2021 for the pioneer edition of the annual event. Christians, Muslims and people of other attachment believing in only one God are invited to participate in the praise session" "I want to praise the God I serve, the God you serve. HE is marvellous, awesome, amazing and a perfect master. As a monarch, I'm nothing. Only God is king. I'm just a physical representation of his name. I bow only to HIM and forbid his rival, deities. Only God deserves to be praised most especially by monarchs. Associating partner with the God we represent is a monumental insult to the Creator. I must acknowledge HIM. And it will be an annual event henceforth" "The day is for praises alone. No asking for nothing and it's also good to praise and acknowledge the Maker and Creator of my exalted position. The one who counts me worthy and chooses me over others" https://iyeyiexprex.com/oluwo-to-hold-odun-olodumare-god-festival-in-november/

he National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, has trained 178 young kids on robotics, drones artificial intelligence, coding and others in two weeks. The Director-General NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa revealed this on Friday in Abuja during the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program. The programme was organized by the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), a subsidiary of NITDA meant to encourage research and development and innovation in the emerging technologies areas. The Director-General said “as we match towards the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), there is a need for a new strategy and innovative approaches to STEM education, such as the introduction of Artificial intelligence (AI), Robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other emerging technologies into our educational system. ” OVER THE TWO WEEKS, THEY WERE IMMERSED IN VARIOUS ACTIVITIES, THEREBY LEARNING VARIOUS TECHNOLOGIES AND SKILLS RANGING FROM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI), ROBOTICS, DRONES, CODING, VIRTUAL REALITY (VR), 3D PRINTING, AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATION, WHERE PARTICIPANTS WERE TRAINED ON HOW TO TELL THEIR STORIES DIGITALLY USING VIDEO AND AUDIO, INCLUDING ADDING DIGITAL EFFECTS TO THEIR CREATIONS TO MAKE THEM MORE INTERESTING AND IMPACTING” Inuwa further said this year, NITDA SB4KIDS has trained almost two hundred (200) participants, with 96 junior kids and 82 senior kids. During the entire program, all participants were provided meals for lunch, writing materials and all necessary care to ensure that our youngsters had a very pleasant experience and a fun environment to aid their learning. Skilled NCAIR members took them through various technologies, on a journey requiring critical thinking and a high sense of curiosity in the world of science and digital technologies.” He explained. However, he said, “the quality of education, especially Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, is deteriorating in our country, as evident from the recent performance of students in major national examinations. Hence, “The STEM Bootcamp for Kids (SB4Kids) is part of NITDA’s effort towards implementing the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS), particularly the NDEPS’s pillar – Digital Literacy and Skills.” He added According to him, “NITDA believes that the early involvement of youngsters in technology and innovation will accelerate the development of the technology sector and create future technology leaders who will transform the Nigerian technology space and boost the Nigerian Digital Economy.” Inuwa explained the motives behind the STEM programme saying, “One of the focus areas of NCAIR is Capacity Building. NCAIR capacity building initiatives are meant to facilitate the creation and adoption of emerging technologies in all facets of Nigerian lives. As an NCAIR’s catch-them-young initiative, the SB4KIDS is a Bootcamp to inspire young Nigerians in STEM”. Through the SB4Kids, NCAIR engages youngsters between the age of 8 to 16 years in an immersive and well-articulated Bootcamp meant to coach and inspire them to imbibe STEM passion and create an early interest in digital and emerging technologies, which will hopefully shape their future careers in these fields. NITDA SB4Kids is a yearly initiative, normally conducted during the summer school holidays. The DG disclosed that plans are on the way to expand it to the six geo-political zones by next year. “WE STARTED THIS AS A PILOT HERE IN ABUJA AND WE HAVE THE PLAN BY NEXT YEAR WE ARE GOING TO DO IT IN THE SIX GEO-POLITICAL ZONES; IF IT SUCCEEDS WE WILL EXPAND IT TO ALL STATES.” HE STATED The National Director, National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), Yau Garba commended NITDA’s DG and encouraged the children to practice and put to use what they have learnt. “THE VISION YOU HAVE SET UP FOR ICT IS WHAT IS GUIDING US IN THIS COUNTRY TODAY AND WE KNOW CLEARLY THAT THE RIGHT PLACE TO START IS WITH OUR GOVERNMENT, THAT WAS WHY WE CAME UP WITH THIS INITIATIVE BECAUSE WE FEEL THAT IN THE FUTURE WE WILL HAVE TECHNOLOGY LEADERS”. Some of the participants who spoke with Voice of Nigeria were excited and full of thanks to the Agency for organizing the training. They also promise to put the knowledge into good use and also teach their siblings and friend. This year’s SB4KIDS programme was conducted between 23rd August and 2nd September, in two batches. The first batch engaged youngsters between the ages of 8 and 11 years, while the second batch was for youngsters between the ages of 12 to 16 years. Ethiopian Monks and Scholars traditionally kept 28 tables of 19-year calculations to reckon time in large blocks of 532 years (1.e. 28 x 19 = 532). Those tables contained calculations of calendrical parameters that ultimately allowed the Ethiopians to Calculate Spring Equinox. The scholars made eight sets of calculations to solve this problem and thus compile these calendrical tables. These calculations enabled them to calculate the running total number of differences between the 354-day lunar year and the 365-day solar year. These calculations made extensive use of “modulo” arithmetic. Modulo arithmetic is where there is a limit on the highest number that can be calculated from a procedure. https://iyeyiexprex.com/how-ethiopia-monk-and-scholar-calculate-spring-equinox/

At a certain point, many people had to migrate from Egypt due to several invasions by external people including the Arabs, Hyksos, Persian, etc. Igala was part of the people that migrated from Egypt then. The following is some evidence to prove the Egyptian origin of Igala or Igala migration from ancient Egypt. A. Numerous similar words between Igala and ancient Egyptian word and their similar or related meanings and a few are given below: Spirit or breath in English is Em/Mi in Ancient Egyptian and Imi in Igala To go away in English is Feh in Ancient Egyptian and Fe (like in lo kefe) in Igala Black/Dark in English is Dud in Ancient Egyptian and Edudu in Igala Settlement in English is Dor in Ancient Egyptian and Do/Odo in Igala To know in English is Ma in Ancient Egyptian and Ma/Uma in Igala To create/make in English is Se in Ancient Egyptian and Che in Igala Deepwater in English is Omijere in Ancient Egyptian and Omijiji in Igala Talk in English is Ro in Ancient Egyptian and Ro (as romiolo) in Igala Children in English is Amu in Ancient Egyptian and Oma in Igala Grond/land in English is Ani/Ren in Ancient Egyptian and Ane in Igala Open in English is Fa in Ancient Egyptian and Fa (as in pull) in Igala Leader in English is Isi in Ancient Egyptian and Uchi/Eneuchi in Igala Dawn/Night in English is Utcha in Ancient Egyptian and Ich/Idu in Igala Yes in English is Ehn in Ancient Egyptian and ehi in Igala Rise in English is Wu in Ancient Egyptian and Wu (ajiwu or Garriwu) in Igala Hill in English is Oke in Ancient Egyptian and Oke in Igala Rejoice in English is Hoo/Yooin Ancient Egyptian and Yo in Igala Head of a city in English is On in Ancient Egyptian and Onu in Igala Confess in English is Beka in Ancient Egyptian and Ka/Ka aluwe in Igala Boat in English is Oko in Ancient Egyptian and Oko in Igala Not Known in English is Amon in Ancient Egyptian and Aman in Igala Finish in English is Tan in Ancient Egyptian and Ita/Itakpa in Igala Sarpent in English is Edjo in Ancient Egyptian and Ejo in Igala Fire in English is Unas in Ancient Egyptian and Una in Igala Evil in English is Ubi in Ancient Egyptian and Ubi/Ejunubi in Igala Pluck in English is Ka in Ancient Egyptian and Ka in Igala Fear in English is Eru in Ancient Egyptian and Ailu in Igala Worship in English is Se in Ancient Egyptian and Che (like in Cheebo) in Igala Walk in English is Ren in Ancient Egyptian and Le in Igala Divide in English is Penka in Ancient Egyptian and Kpe in Igala Invocation in English is Ash in ancient Egyptian and Ache in Igala Python in English is Ere in ancient Egyptian and Ere in Igala Male in English is Ak in Ancient Egyptian and Ekele/Oko in Igala Chant in English is Ged in Ancient Egyptian and Igede/Ogba in Igala Die in English means Khu in ancient Egyptian and Ku in Igala Water in English means Omi in ancient Egyptian and Omi in Igala Mouth in English means Aru in ancient Egyptian and Alu in Igala Moon in English means Khonsu in ancient Egyptian and Ochu in Igala Person in English means On in ancient Egyptian and One in Igala Sell in English means Ta in ancient Egyptian and Ta in Igala Buy in English means Ra in ancient Egyptian and La in Igala, etc B. Did you know the origin of the lion (Idu) as part of Attah Igala’s greetings (Agaba Idu)? Well, it began in Egypt where Igala migrated from. In ancient Egypt, the lion symbolizes Power and Kingship. It also means Majesty, Courage, military might. Some seats of Attah Igala have the head of a lion carved on them. Other Igala traditional rulers have this similar seats with lion heads carved on them too. C. When a Pharaoh passed on and a new one is to be taken, the pharaoh-to-be will be the eldest son of the late Pharaoh except there were certain issues. This is the same with the selection of new Attah Igala. D. When the Pharaoh-to-be is selected by the kingmakers, he passed through various traditional stages including rituals and sacrifices, and these activities can last close to a year before his coronation as the Pharaoh. This is the same in the case of any new Attah Igala. After the Attah to-be is selected by the kingmakers (Igalamela), he would pass through various stages ranging from trekking from Ugwolawo in Ofu LGA to Idah, visit Ajaina (the resting ground of any Attah that transited to the other world), visit his traditional father, visit his traditional mother, the ritual of becoming a “woman”, …. until his final coronation as Attah Igala. E. Although, Pharaoh was meant to be a male throne being of a king and not a queen, some Pharaohs were females, example is Pharaoh Cleopatra. So, also in ancient Igala, Igala had a female Attah called Attah Ebulejonu (Amichi), the daughter of Abutu Ejeh. She was the first Attah after the Igala people migrated from Wukari in the present Taraba state (where they settled temporarily after they migrated from Egypt) to Idah. This confirms the continuation of the “Pharaonic” style of rulership in Nigeria (Igala people). F. When a Pharaoh dies, he will not be buried immediately but his or her body will undergo traditional preservation and some processes until after some months before the burial. This is the same in the case of any Attah Igala who joined the ancestors. G. When a late Pharaoh is to be buried, he or she will be buried along with some servants and belongings. This is the same with the ancient Attah Igala. H. Both the ancient Egyptian and Igala believe that there is life after death, and the dead just transited to the other world. That was why in the burial of ancient Egyptian Pharaohs as well as Attah Igala, servants were buried with them so that the servants would continue to serve the kings in the other world. The case of Prince Inikpi, the daughter of Attah Ayegba Oma Idoko (during Igala-Benin war 1515-1516) was similar as some maids accompanied her to the other world during her voluntary burial. THEY DIED BUT LIVED AGAIN! Just like in Igala, in the ancient Egyptian world, it was believed that anyone who leaves this world will be in another world and life continues. That was why when any ancient Pharaoh died, he will be buried with some servants, some belongings, and even pets. This was to allow him or her to have some people to serve him or her as a king even in that area. The case of Igala is not different as exact or related culture was done in ancient Igala. And to date, many Igala especially the elders like traditional leaders still see the issue of hell or heaven as “audio” (not real), and that their ancestors are resting in the other world. That is why they call their ancestors during some activities/gatherings and give them cola nuts. Some also make sacrifices to them and confirm if it has been accepted or rejected by their ancestors, studies revealed. You no fit call pesin from hell or heaven to come chop cola nut na. Well, that was part of the traditions Igala brought from Egypt and the palace of Pharaoh in particular during our migration from there. But similar culture showed that Igala was one of the ancient Pharaohs or part of a Pharaoh dynasty or lineage for the similar burial processes to be continued even in this location (Nigeria) after many centuries of separation. I. The ancient Egyptians believe that Pharaoh was God or mediator between them and God. This was the same in the case of Igala as some Attah Igala have the power like “God”, as confirmed by some of them personally. “… God made me after his image, and I am all the same as God. He appointed me a king”, Attah Ameh Ocheje during the visit of Queen of England’s delegation to him in Idah in 1840, in the book of G. M. Clifford. “… what happens is that if the Attah wishes anybody well, the person shall prosper. But when he wishes a man evil, it will go with him ”, Attah Idakwo Ameh Oboni II, during an interview with The Punch newspaper in 2017 when he was asked, “ Why Attah must not place a curse on anybody”. J. While in ancient Egyptian, Pharaoh means the great house, Aat means the great one, and Aita/Atta means father, in Igala, Attah means father, elder, the greatest of all, or the great one. K. In ancient Egyptians, there were various priests in charge of various gods in different temples. These priests give the gods water, food, kola nuts and even sing for them daily. This was to ensure peace, protection, and blessings on the people of Egypt. In ancient Igala and still, in some communities, it is the same. Some elders serve the gods with water, kola nut, and even food every morning or occasionally. Some even sing for them after the incantations or prayers. This can be for the community god or family or personal god. L. In the entire Kogi Igala land, no other traditional ruler is buried the same way as Attah Igala. This is the same in ancient Egypt, this confirms that Igala was one of the Pharaohs or Igala belonged to the Pharaoh royal clan that the Attah is buried the same way as Pharaoh. M. In the ancient Egyptian world, any man who married a Princess would become a King. This was the case of Attah Ebulejonu (Amichi) Abutu Ejeh and Omepa Ajogu, the husband of Igala female Attah, Attah Ebulejonu who became the Achadu (Achadu Oko Attah) the Prime minister of Igala Kingdom. Another tradition carried along from Egypt https://iyeyiexprex.com/pieces-of-evidence-of-igala-migration-from-ancient-egypt-egyptian-origin-of-igala-people/

The Black officer group say 84-year-old Sundiata Acoli, convicted of murder of New Jersey state trooper, poses no threat to public safety A joint group of current and retired Black police officers is calling for the release on parole of Sundiata Acoli, a former Black Panther member who was jailed for 48 years for the 1973 murder of a New Jersey state trooper. Four Black law enforcement groups have joined forces to press the case for Acoli’s parole almost half a century after he was arrested. In an amicus brief filed with the New Jersey supreme court, they call his continued imprisonment “an affront to racial justice” and accuse the parole board of violating the law by repeatedly refusing to set the prisoner free. “Mr Acoli has spent more than half of his life in prison cells the size of a parking space, including nearly 20 years as a senior citizen … He should be granted parole,” the groups write. Acoli is one of at least 11 former members of the Black Panther Party and its armed wing, the Black Liberation Army, who are still in prison for acts of violence committed largely in the late 1960s and 1970s. Many of the prisoners are approaching their half-century behind bars. At 84, Acoli is the oldest of the former Black radicals still languishing in prison. He contracted Covid-19 last year from his cell in FCI Cumberland in Maryland, and is suffering from physical and mental impairments including gradual deterioration of his memory. In a written communication with the Guardian, Acoli said that he was struggling with chronic degeneration of his hearing, eyesight, and mental and muscular capacity yet was receiving “little or no medical treatment” in prison. “I am an 84-year-old man who’s been imprisoned since age 36 for almost 50 years, who now poses a threat not even to a flea, let alone public safety,” he said. Acoli added: “My sentence is obviously too long. I am rapidly disintegrating before my family and friends’ eyes.” When asked about the amicus brief, Acoli said: “The Black associations are simply expressing their opinion on what everyone already knows: that it’s time, actually past time, that I should be released.” “MY SENTENCE IS OBVIOUSLY TOO LONG. I AM RAPIDLY DISINTEGRATING BEFORE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS’ EYES” – Sundiata Acoli The intervention of the Black groups underscores a rift within police officer organizations. Powerful white-dominated law enforcement associations have been at the forefront of the battle to keep former Black Panthers incarcerated for decades. In Acoli’s case, the New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association has called for him to remain “locked up and away from civil society for the rest of his life”. Acoli, who was born Clark Edward Squire, was given a life sentence in 1974 for the murder of New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster the previous year. Acoli had been driving along the New Jersey Turnpike together with two other members of the Black Liberation Army, Assata Shakur (born JoAnne Chesimard) and Zayd Malik Shakur (James Costan) when they were stopped by a state trooper, James Harper, over a defective taillight. In the ensuing melee, shots were fired. Foerster was struck with four bullets and died, and Zayd Malik Shakur was also killed. Harper was wounded, and both Acoli and Assata Shakur were arrested after a police chase. Shakur escaped and fled to Cuba, where she was granted asylum by the Cuban government. In 2013 she became the first woman to be put on the FBI’s “most wanted terrorists” list, and at age 74 she faces a $2m reward for information leading to her capture. In the amicus brief, the four Black police officer groups make powerful arguments against Acoli’s continuing imprisonment. They point out that New Jersey has the greatest disparity in the nation between the incarceration rate of Black and white people – a gap of 12 to 1, according to the state’s Criminal Sentencing and Disposition Commission. Almost two thirds of New Jersey prisoners serving life sentences are Black. They also point out that prisoners on life sentences, like Acoli, tend to have the lowest recidivism rate of all classes of prisoner – and the rate falls further with age. Yet over the past 40 years the rate of prisoners granted release by the New Jersey parole board has plummeted – from 42% in the 1980s to just 7% between 2012 and 2019. The Black groups accuse the parole board of obsessively focusing on whether Acoli has changed his radical political views rather than concentrating on the only issue they are required to consider – whether he poses a threat to the public should he be freed. The amicus brief says the board’s approach amounts to “extralegal punishment”. Acoli first came up for parole in 1993, and on that occasion was not only denied but told he would have to wait another 20 years before he could reapply to the board. In 2014 he came close to walking free when a three-judge panel of the state appeals court ordered his release on grounds he posed no threat at all – only to have that ruling overturned by the state supreme court. After a further round of parole board and court hearings, he is now appealing again to the New Jersey supreme court, which is expected to consider the case later this year or early next. The four groups that have jointly written the amicus brief are: the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, Blacks in Law Enforcement of America, the Black Police Experience and the Grand Council of Guardians. Ronald Hampton, who served for 24 years as a police officer in Washington DC and who is now with Blacks in Law Enforcement of America, said that prolonged prison terms for the former Black Panthers highlighted racial distortions in the criminal justice system. “These long sentences are absurd. The system is meant to rehabilitate – prisoners who complete their sentences should be sent home, but that hasn’t worked for Black folks.” https://iyeyiexprex.com/black-police-groups-call-for-ex-black-panther-jailed-for-48-years-to-be-released/

Get the Real Mathematics of Muammar Gaddafi By Memnon Uzan And Know: Gaddafi was actually murdered because he challenged the existing monetary system, by his bold plannings for the AfriKan Gold Dinar which would effectively free Africa as a continent from its dependence on the West. A declassified email reveals that Libya was invaded due to fears that Muammar Gaddafi would establish a pan-African currency based on the country’s gold Dinar. Under Gaddafi 1. In Libya, a home is considered a natural human right. 2. Education was free “Gaddafi’s view on education is something that seems to resonate with many. He believed that education had nothing to do with a routinized curriculum. He pointed to the fact that the western world has forced their youth to learn during specified hours while sitting in rows of desks, and that this type of education now prevails all over the world and goes against human freedom. “State controlled education, which governments boast of whenever they are able to force it on their youths, is a method of suppressing freedom. It is a compulsory obliteration of a human being’s talent, as well as a coercive directing of a human being’s choices. It is an act of dictatorship destructive of freedom because it deprives people of their free choice, creativity and brilliance. To force a human being to learn according to a set curriculum is a dictatorial act. To impose certain subjects upon people is also a dictatorial act. 3. Medical treatment was free “It’s beyond me as to why medical care is not free in all countries. This should be basic human right and we’ve drifted far from it. Are we not capable of creating something better as to where medical treatment could be free for everyone in all countries? Gaddafi strongly believed in this, and created it for his people” 4. There were no electricity bills in Libya, electricity was free “The western world wants to put a meter on everything. It’s just another way, out of many, to enslave us. Basic human rights are not met in the western world, and what’s even more discouraging is the fact that most of us sit back and accept it, or don’t even realize it” 5. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great ManMade River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country 6. All newlyweds in Libya would receive 60,000 Dinar ($50,000 USD) by the government to buy their first apartment to help start a family. 7. A portion of Libyan oil sales is or was credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens 8. Libya had it’s own state bank Libya had its own State bank, which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt. 9. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies When a Libyan woman gave birth she was given the equivalent to $5000 USD for herself and the child. 10. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government would fund them to go abroad for it – not only free but they get US $2,300/month accommodation and car allowance https://iyeyiexprex.com/was-gaddafi-actually-murdered/

Many centuries ago, Africa was in the forefront of human civilization, more so, Africa featured actively in the rise and fall of all world empires. From records, Africa gave the world all these pioneering civilization: Human civilization began in Africa-the culture of learning, documentation by Hieroglyphics, the seven ancient Egyptian symbols gave humankind arithmetic of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to fractions, upon which pyramids, irrigation, construction, astronomy, time, seasons, and lunar calendar owe existence. Researches from its education-changed the world. Africa pioneered medical care and pharmacy, invented embalmment with the use of chemicals to preserve corpses, Constructed complex pyramids, and for over 3,500 years most of these wonders still stand, until this day. What Must Africa Do To Reclaim Its Past Glory? Africa should learn from Japan, a country that transited from centuries of feudal-controlled system into a modern industrial-representative-democracy within forty years from 1868-1910. The same miracle that took both Europe and the new industrial America almost a century. Africa can also learn from the four Asian tigers-Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan that replicated Japanese miracle by turning- their nations into industrial hub fueled by exports within thirty years-1960-1990, making them join the ranks of world richest and biggest economies. Africa-Han River or South Korea and Taiwanese miracles are possible with strong political will. Japanese Options: African Nations can adapt by learning directly from industrial nations. This can be done by adopting relevant foreign ideas that will speed up African economic success. Adopting relevant foreign ideas will help speed up African economic success. Synergize where and when necessary, Reform, Renovate, Revolutionize, and Renew Concentrate on infrastructure development-roads, railroads, ports, Telecommunication/internet/speed band. Resist continued foreign control, but maintain foreign relations with friendly nations. African Model – Accelerated Economic Development: Formulate new economic and development policies that cut across national line into regional and continental economic powerhouse; like North American countries of Mexico, US, and Canada; European Union, and Southeastern Asian nations. Encourage home or domestic producers with tax holidays, Government-backed/guaranteed soft loan, build, hire, and ownership transfer of industrial complexes. Encourage Africans to invest in other African countries’ Economies through African Securities and Exchanges. Invite foreign investors through FDI. Encourage production and manufacturing efficiency; mergers, acquisition, and buy-out be encouraged, but checks in place to prevent monopoly and oligopoly. Create Export Processing Zones-barrier-free environment created to promote economic growth by attracting foreign investors for export-oriented production. Reduce cost of business /remove all administrative bottlenecks; reduce corruption, make civil and justice system easy to access. Strengthen all regional and continental economic bodies. Hong Kong’s model of financial center can be created in South Africa for southern region, Nigeria in western region, Egypt in the north to provide financial services such as banks, investment management, or stock exchange. Conclusion: Africa has a great future, its large population, abundant natural resources, great market, surrounding seas, lands, and human resources open opportunities for tomorrow. Remember, African primary products-cocoa, coffee, kola, tea are in high demand in international market; hundreds, if not thousands of valued minerals-gold, iron ore, aluminum, diamond, uranium, zinc, copper, cobalt, platinum, coal, bauxite, gypsum, limestone, salt, silver, tin, and manganese– are in great demand in United States, Europe, China, and Russia. For centuries, Europe ruled the world, then Great Britain came on board, creating, the United States from the thirteen British Colonies in North America. For more than two hundred years now, Britain and the United States have continued to lead through military might, economic power, and cultural diffusion. However, this century can be Africa’s, if Africa organize itself, remain focused, and be committed to goals that will take her out of the woods. Africa can become great again, if her house is in order. https://iyeyiexprex.com/african-economic-model-ways-africa-could-reclaim-its-past-glory/

Vincent Lurquin a Belgian lawyer who claimed to be representing Paul Rusesabagina who was initially arrested and valued before the court to face charges of terrorism has been deported and further barred from future entry into Rwanda. The Deported Lawyer insisted there was foul play in his deportation. According to the Belgian Lawyer, “they (Rwandan authorities) refuse to let me see my client, I went to see the President of the Bar who did not want to see me, I went to see the Attorney General who did not want to see me, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Justice” However, Rwanda’s Immigration authorities explained that Lurquin was sent back to Belgium for breaching the immigration laws of the country. According to the law, a foreigner who enters the country with a mere visitation visa is not entitled to engage in any formal work activities; Lurquin who reportedly entered the country with a visitor’s visa was seen making attempts to work, an action the authorities saw as a blatant disregard for the law. Lt. Col. Regis Gatarayiha, The Director-General of the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration (DGIE), said “the visa he was accorded is a V1 type of visa, which allows the bearer to visit the country but not to conduct any remunerated work or any payment. We were surprised to see that he appeared in court, in one of the proceedings of the court, in an attire that shows that he was practising as an advocate, which he was not allowed to do,” Gatarayiha said Therefore, Lurquin was not only deported but further declared a “Prohibited Immigrant,” a status that prevents him from ever travelling to Rwanda. His deportation sparked series of conversations. Some political thinkers raised the point that, as a lawyer, Lurquin should have known better and applied for the right visa. Other political commentators view his approach as a populist strategy to make the government unpopular because of how popular the case is. The case of Paul Rusesabagina, the 67-year-old “Hotel Rwanda” hero is one of the most-watched cases across the world. Paul Rusesabagina has been accused of supports for a rebel group called the National Liberation Front (FLN) which killed nine people in Rwanda in 2018 and 2019 and injured others. The country’s Judiciary has set September 20th to deliver the final judgement on the case. https://iyeyiexprex.com/rwanda-government-deports-a-belgian-lawyer-bars-him-from-future-entry-into-the-country/

The Egyptian mummification process The Greek historian, Herodotus, said that the mummification process was divided into various important stages. According to him, the process began with the removal of the brain and viscera. Then these internal organs were mummified separately and placed in canopic jars (the four jars shown in the last picture). Going further, the body cavity was cleaned with palm oil and filled with crushed myrrh and various aromatics. The body was then covered with natron, generally for a period of 70 days, to speed up the dehydration process. At the end of this process, the mummy was wrapped in strips of linen that had been dipped in resin; throughout this step, priests placed many protective amulets among the wrappings. This extremely well preserved mummy in the pictures is that of a man who lived during the Ptolemaic Period (305 BC_ 30 BC) and is now displayed in the Louvre museum. The mummy is covered with a cartonnage consisting of several elements: a mask covering the head, a wide collar over the chest, an apron across the legs, and finally, a casing over the feet. https://iyeyiexprex.com/the-egyptian-mummification-process/
