I didn't do anything really special. I sought for offers in laboratories, contacted professors and applied for advertised PhD positions. A professor I contacted told me about an offer opening up in his university. I applied, was interviewed and finally retained.

Thank you Santino1 for your response. While waiting for opinions here, I contacted the embassy here and they told me exactly as you have said. I am now trying to renew my French permit before applying for the Swiss visa but I don't have a lot of time as I'm supposed to resume by September 1st. I'm pretty much a nervous wreck right now because of all these administrative issues.

I don't want to apply for the Swiss visa from Nigeria due to the costs associated with travelling back and forth. GideonG: I studied the bible very well and when I say study I mean study not "read" Beside I also made my research. I truly believe in God. it's human beings like us that compiled the bible, it's not sent from heaven.

Heck Christians don't even go to church on sabbath day. God rested on the 8th day of creation but people choose to worship God on the 1st day of the week instead of sabbath day.

You clearly need to serve more time in that mental rut called bible study again. I don't get what you mean by faith. If you mean gullibility and a mental block to rational thought and reason that the laity are known for, I clearly understand you. My advice to you is to work hard to free yourself from any indoctrination which keeps people bound and blinds their eyes to the true beauty of the cosmos.

As for life being only on earth, even the most brilliant astronomer never makes such an assertion. Our galaxy (milky way) which contains about a hundred billion stars(mind you, the sun is the nearest star to us) each with planets revolving around them. There are also about a hundred billion galaxies out there. Do the math and tell me there's no chance of life out there somewhere. Scientists are searching for extraterrestrial life. You said you understood physics. The basic answer lies in gravity. As to why "nature" knew that humans needed light rays for life, my simple answer is to ask you not to put the cart before the horse. There is life on earth because of the sun not the other way round.

I am a student of university of Jos. I just completed a 6 months training in a HIV/AIDS diagnosis, Management and anti-retroviral drug therapy centre sponsored by the U.S government. (APIN/PEPFAR).

Please do you know of any youth society involved in the HIV/AIDS Battle, where i can contribute and be involved in jos and get opportunities to attend seminars and conferences within the country and abraod?- Without totally disturbing my schooling.

Like the HIV version of Red cross, Rotaract e.t.c. I don't want to waste my experience!!!
