Hundreds of people who bought tickets to a music concert “WHO OWNS THE STREET Vol. 4” which was held on Thursday 2nd January 2020 in Igbokoda, Ondo State, are now demanding their money back from the organisers of the show after Lil Frosh who is expected to perform at the show disappointed the crowd by not showing up at the event. Lil Frosh who just got signed into the DMW record label owned by Davido was the most anticipated act for the show but failed to show up after series of confirmation videos. The absence of the artiste did not only affect the liveliness of the show but has also brought the organisers of the show into disrepute with the fans of the show in the area. The displeasure of the fans who attended the event was not unconnected with the series of confirmation videos which the artiste did for the organisers of the show where he promised to be in attendance at the event. In a bid to get a refund of the money which was paid to the artiste before the show, the organisers called the artiste after the show to express their displeasure about the failed deal and also demanded a refund which the artiste agreed to pay as soon as possible but didn't. A carpenter whose name is yet to be disclosed was brutalised by members of the police force and other alleged thugs in the early hours of today in Oba Ile, Akure, Ondo State. It was gathered that the team of police officers which was led by one Matthew Dele (ASP) attached to Oba Ile police station Akure stormed the resident of the victim, and allegedly beat him up and he was dragged to the Oba Ile police station afterwards. GistaBlog was informed that the cause of the assault was as a result of the carpenter's failure to refund the money which he was paid by the policeman to construct some doors for him. This was coming after the policeman complained that the doors made for him are not satisfactory and therefore demanded for a refund. After his complaint, it was reported that the carpenter pleaded with him to give him some more time so as to be able to sell the doors and generate the money, but the policeman blatantly refused and later showed up at the victims resident with some of his colleagues and other alleged thugs who accompanied him to carry out the attack on the carpenter. As at the time of filling this report, the Nigeria police force is yet to say anything on the matter, and the victim has been hospitalised. This was revealed in a tweet by the former minister via his official twitter handle. He said; My verified @facebook page (FEMI FANI-KAYODE) which has 1 million followers was hacked by evil souls and the whole page deleted. This was done on my birthday after I received a record 33,000 likes and 23,000 goodwill messages on my birthday post. We are trying to sort it out. https://mobile.twitter.com/realFFK/status/1185138053637115904 https://www.gistablog.com/2019/10/femi-fani-kayode-facebook-page-hacked.html

Flood which ravaged Igbokoda community, Ilaje local government area of Ondo State has forced many residents to vacate their houses, even as they lost many properties. Some of the residents are now living with their friends and relatives outside Igbokoda because of the ordeal. GistaBlog.Com gathered that the flood was as a result of lack of drainages, blocked drainages, and poor or swallow drainages that could not cope with intense rainfall in some areas. In an interview with one of the major stakeholders of the community, he called on both the federal and state government to come to their aid stressing that the people of Igbokoda had suffered much due to the issue of flood. Also in an interview with one of the displaced persons, Mr. Olawole Taiwo, he attributed the development to blocked drainages and shallow gutters. He therefore advised residents to stop dumping refuse into the drainages in order to curb the menace. He said over 150 tenants have all vacated their buildings, while business operators have escaped due to the activities of the flood. He called on both federal and state government to come to their aid. One of those affected by the flood also lamented that all his documents and properties were almost destroyed by the flood. He said the flood swept into his house at about 11.00pm in the night, but he managed to escape to another place. He stressed that the community has never experienced such level flooding before, and there is need for urgent government intervention. Earlier this week, it was also reported that a heavy rainfall of over 8 hours yesterday claimed the life of a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Akoko Southwest local government. Sources said the deceased simply called ‘Doyin’, an Indigene of Ekiti state, was swept away to an unknown destination by heavy flood from a canal very close to her residence in the town and till now her body is yet to be recovered. Below is the heartbreaking photo of a mentally unstable mother breastfeeding her child under a poor condition somewhere at Iyanoba Market in Ojo, Lagos State. According to the twitter user who shared the picture I saw this today at Ojo and I felt bad for both the Lady and the child. I don’t know who needs to see this to make things better, for the child especially, but kindly retweet till that someone sees this. The said woman roams about the streets of Lagos helplessly with no one willing to lend a helping hand to the poor little child and her. We call on all well meaning Nigerians to help rescue the endangered poor child from the mentally ill mother. https://www.gistablog.com/2019/10/mentally-unstable-mother-spotted.html
