I was opportune to review Obasanjo's Presidential Library. Discovered he had a museum inside the building. I was blown away by what I found in Obasanjo's Presidential Museum located in Abeokuta. There were precious artifacts that whose beauty would blow you away, clothes of his late wife Stella Obasanjo, there were also gifts from his friends and allies from near and far. it was an amazing experience and a sight to see. It is also the first Presidential Museum in Africa and the best museum in Nigeria by all standards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Fg6C4jDtU&t=36s Please Like and Subscribe if you liked this video.

Making a smart decision in choosing an event venue for your wedding helps in making your event successful. Here are a few ideas on how to choose your event venue on a budget Have a budget and stick to it This cannot be overstated. Before you begin your search for a venue, make sure you have a budget and try as much as possible to stay within this budget. You can research prices for event spaces online from the comfort of your home without leaving your couch. Compare different venues in different areas and go for the one that works with your budget. it's crucial to sit down and plan a budget you can stick to. With that being said, the cost of the venue is important to pay attention to so that you can ensure you have enough money for food, entertainment, and decorations. Fridays are cheaper than Saturdays When it comes to event venues, weekdays are cheaper than weekends due to lower demand. While we all want to book the Most glamorous venue, it’s sometimes necessary to compromise and be flexible. For example, if you’re not strict on a date, certain days of the week are cheaper to book. You can book a Friday for your event if you're trying to save cost. Your “real friends” would always find a way to turn up. Check Online for Availability Once you conclude on a number of event venues that look suitable, you can make a booking for availability to ensure your date is available via websites platforms like https://spacebook.ng. Book a venue at least 6 months in advance so that you will have enough time to plan other critical things, such as catering, event brochures, and wedding websites. Booking way ahead also increases your negotiation power with the event space owner. Book an Inspection We live in a digital world where everything can be done online although when it comes to event spaces, visiting and seeing for yourself is very important as pictures can only show you so much. After booking your event space online or physically, ask for a tour of the venue including everything from the parking to the entrance and the event space to the bathrooms. Make sure you Inspect more than one venue to ensure you have enough options to compare from to ensure you get the most suitable and affordable option. You'll be glad you did! Capacity and Accessibility How many guests will be attending? Who are these guests? How accessible is it from the major areas in your city. These are critical questions to ask when choosing an event venue to make certain that everyone can comfortably fit inside the space. To save cost, it may be better to choose a Smaller capacity that's more Accessible (you don't need to invite everybody to your event anyway) but by all means, if you need to spend all that cash, go ahead. Parking Does the venue have adequate parking for your guests? A venue with a parking lot is what dreams are made of? If there is no parking available, you would need to find alternatives for your guest to ensure there is no gridlock on the date of your event as this could be a nightmare. Consider Venue Reputation A venue's reputation for service is critical. This is often the difference between holding a good event and producing a great event. The way a venue manages its facilities staff, and clients will always be remembered. Reputation of a venue is very Important. Browse their testimonials or reviews available online to see what other people have said about the event space Services and Amenities Aside from how the venue looks, consider what the venue of one-stop it a one-stop shop for all your event planning needs? Consider if the venue has a kitchen and catering staff, seating, a setup/clean up crew, and AV capabilities. These are just a few of the services you should be asking about when choosing a venue. If they don't provide vendors you can easily use this to negotiate the price for the space in your favor then get external vendors to cater for your event. To get affordable vendors, Browse for them online. Contact them and get them to send you a quote to you. Then filter through and pick the most suitable option. How to search for an event venue Finding the right venue for your event can take up quite a bit of your time. Thankfully there are a few Services to help you save time: Use an online tool, such as Spacebook. They help you parse through the many venues to find the one right for you. Input your Location, Say “Lagos” and click search. You'll get a list of event spaces in Lagos. You can then browse through and book an inspection from the platform. On Spacebook, anyone can list any type of space for free and make money from it. Thanks for reading and let’s know your ideas. Hello guys It’s the beginning of a new week and also the end of the month. We Decided to switch it up and bring you our Space of the week. It’s Called Kajuru Castle. Yeah, you heard that, a freaking castle!!!! and the best part is that it’s in Nigeria. A Short History of this space Kajuru Castle is an exclusive and luxurious total getaway built between the years 1981 until opening 1989 by a controversial German expatriate. It has an early medieval style and its located at Kajuru village in the trade city of Kaduna, a major commercial hub in the northern part of Nigeria. This gorgeous architectural masterpiece with breathtaking ambiance is set upon elevated peaks with staggering views. Kajuru Castle is styled in a European and clearly German way with a baronial hall, complete with suits of armor. This space can be used for a variety of events, ranging from Weddings, Music video shoots to vacation destinations. The rooms of this space are spread across the castle’s three floors which feature four dungeon rooms, a central building with an authentic knights’ hall and a master’s bedroom fitted with air conditioners, televisions, sofas, beds and private bathrooms, as well as a dragon tower well guarded by ‘dragons’. Wawuu!!! There is some downside to this space though because of the distance from the city. They don’t allow pets, They don’t have Wifi, They don’t have a restaurant and they don’t offer shuttle services. To solve this, guests can either bring or plan for their meals or ask the management to make an arrangement with food service providers in town, who will make deliveries at an extra cost. However, guests can choose to use the castle’s sufficiently equipped kitchen. The BBQ spot beside the pool offers a wide range of grilling, baking, roasting and barbequing opportunities. Space has an amazing swimming pool with a view of the beautiful landscape. You may just forget that you are in Nigeria and imagine somewhere in Rome. Seriously Just to have a better understanding of how amazing this space is, Have a look at this video of LERIQ – Wishlist ft. Wande Coal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDWAikakAwk During ‘frosty’ African nights, the Finnish sauna ensures a warming pleasure. On the Castle rooftop, there is a set of tables and chairs that can sit no less than 10 guests at a time. There is also a garden. The most attractive part of the facility is the open courtyard with the magnificent large stainless swimming pool and pool chairs, plus a barbeque area complete with an outdoor oven. There is nothing worse than using poorly shot, low-resolution camera phone photography for marketing purposes. Don’t get me wrong–the camera on an iPhone 6 is pretty amazing–but it’s nothing in comparison to a professional grade DSLR or mirrorless camera. The same advice I give to my clients is of equal importance to hosting on Spacebook. If you want to maximize your potential for success as a Spacebook host then you need to have professional photos taken by a Spacebook photographer! The photographer doesn’t necessarily have to specialize in Real Estate photography, but they do need to be a professional. I recommend hiring a photographer that has experience in shooting and Capturing Real creative work like Ayofemi Photography. Although Ayofenmi does not only specialize in Real Estate Photography, he does have an extensive portfolio in commercial photography. I interviewed Ayofemi and asked him to provide Spacebook Blog readers with 7 tips from a professional photographer on how to perfectly capture your Spacebook listing. Below are his suggestions: EXPLORE THE SPACE Everything has a face. Any object, whether naturally attractive or not, has a particular way that it photographs best. This requires the photographer to explore various angles, and shoot from multiple directions and heights, to ensure that the best angle of any geometric space is shown the best that it can. Take photos of unique objects that guests might find interesting or entertaining. Show them the entire space. DECLUTTER Nothing is more attractive or inviting than a clutter-free space where guests will feel comfortable knowing the Building they’ll be staying in has been well maintained. When it comes to photography, I recommend staging your listing like you would when selling a real estate property. Add some flowers to your Event Space table or put a Computer on the desk of your co-working space. These minor touches will add personality to your Spacebook listing. USE NATURAL LIGHT IF POSSIBLE In some cases, this may mean using a tripod and slower shutter speed but the benefit outweighs yellow mixed light from most residential light sources. The white light captured from natural light is clean and consistent. This look will be more appealing to users and enable you to get more bookings. CLEAN LINES Apart from using a tripod to ensure sharp photos when shooting at lower shutter speeds, using a tripod also allows you to make sure that the horizon and vertical lines in the image are straight. Crooked photos, in a real estate photography sense, are unprofessional. The message you want to convey to your Spacebook guests is that you take this seriously and want to provide them with the highest quality experience possible. USE WIDE ANGLE LENSES, BUT DON’T GO TOO WIDE I recommend using wide angle lenses 35mm or wider to capture multiple corners of rooms in one photograph. This sells the idea of open space. But while using wide angle lenses will help open up the room, you don’t want to go wider than 24mm. An 18mm lens will give the room a fisheye look. Don’t try to be too artsy! PHOTOGRAPH THE SURROUNDINGS Most Spacebook users are looking for a nice place to host their event but are also interested in what’s going on around them. Take photos of outdoor areas and attractions within a few miles of the property. Going the extra mile will pay off. More photos on your Spacebook listing equals more bookings. More bookings equal’s more money! DON’T OVER EDIT There’s nothing wrong using photo editing software to clean up scuff marks on the floor or other minor imperfections, but don’t go overboard. A natural and clean color edit should be used to keep your photos from looking cheesy. If you’re hiring a photographer to photograph your space, take a look at their previous work to ensure you choose someone who can photograph your listing in a style that matches its personality. At the end of the day, your Spacebook photography is what attracts guests to your listing. You can describe your listing beautifully–but no matter how many words you write–nothing can compare to professional photos taken by a professional photographer! Big thanks to Ayofemi for sharing his insight on how to photograph Spacebook listings. You can contact him directly by following him on Instagram. Your wedding vendors are responsible for turning your vision into reality (no pressure, right?). So it’s essential that you take the time to choose pros who you’re actually excited to work with—and who are within budget, too. Yes, the process can feel a bit daunting at first, but we’re here to help ease the stress. Step One: Figure out the basics. Before you start researching wedding vendors, you’ll need to have a few pieces of information set: your wedding date, your budget, and your venue. You’ll need to know if vendors are available on your date (if they’re not, it’s pretty much a deal-breaker), can travel to your wedding location, and their pricing is within your budget’s range. These important details should be firmly set before you start reaching out to wedding pros. Step Two: Start the search Once you feel comfortable with your date, budget, and venue, you can start researching vendors in your area. There are a few ways to find vendors. Websites like Spacebook allow you to search for vendors quickly and easily based on your location. You can also attend wedding shows where you can meet a lot of vendors in person. There’s also word of mouth, talking to recently-married friends and family members to get their recommendations. You might also want to check out vendors on social media to get a better sense of their personalities. Step Three: Read reviews No matter how you initially research wedding vendors, it’s a good idea to cross-reference with online reviews written by real couples. Reviews often provide insight that you might not get from looking at a vendor’s website or meeting them at a wedding expo. Take note not only of the good reviews but how a vendor responds to not-so-great ones. A vendor doesn’t have to have completely perfect reviews to be a good fit for your wedding. Step Four: Narrow it down. You could probably come up with a list of dozens of wedding vendors who sound amazing, but for your own sanity, don’t reach out to too many. We recommend narrowing your list to three or four vendors in each category (photographers, makeup artists, etc.) to make that initial contact with. You can always reach out to more if none of your initial picks work out. Step Five: Reach out. Making that first contact with a wedding vendor can be a little tricky. There are three important pieces of information you’ll want to find out: If the vendor is available on your date, can travel to your location, and their package pricing is within your budget. Use this template for your initial message. Hi [vendor name], My name is [your name] and I found you on [mention where you found the photographer, whether on a website, at a wedding expo, etc.]. I am curious to more about your wedding services. I am getting married on [your wedding date] at [your wedding venue] and wanted to check your availability and receive any information on your packages and pricing. Thank you! [Your name and contact information] The vendor should get back to you in a timely fashion—within a business day or so—or provide a reason why he or she isn’t available (vacation, travel, etc.). If you hear back and like what you see (the vendor is available on your date, the pricing is within range), set up an in-person meeting. Step Six: Ask questions. The in-person meeting with a vendor is crucial. Not only do you want your vendors to be creative and talented, you’ll also want to find people you actually like and trust. And it’s easiest to discover that at an in-person meeting, rather than over the phone or via email. If you can’t meet with a vendor in person, video chat is a decent alternative. Come prepared with a list of questions, and don’t be afraid to bring up any concerns. You’re spending a lot of money here, and it’s essential that you’re comfortable with your decision-making. If you’re concerned about the vendor’s pricing, now is the time to be up front about your own budget and (politely) see if any adjustments can be made to a vendor’s package. They may very well say no, but it’s better to ask up front rather than after a contract has been drawn up. Step Seven: Read the contract (and ask more questions!). Once you’ve selected the wedding vendor you’d like to hire, it’s time to get a contract. Make sure you read the contract carefully before signing and have others read it as well. If you’re confused or concerned about any detail in the contract (especially the payment plan or any additional fees), don’t be afraid to ask. You should be 100 percent happy with the contract before signing and moving forward with a particular wedding Step Eight: Book—and get next steps. Signing a vendor contract marks the start of your official working relationship with a wedding pro. Even if your wedding is months (or years!) away, make sure you’re aware of what the next steps are. When should you meet with this particular vendor again, whether it’s for a tasting, planning session, engagement shoot, etc.? Also, what is the best way to communicate with this particular vendor—is email, phone or text best? Step Nine: Stay in touch. If you’ve been communicating with a wedding vendor and decide against hiring them, do not (we repeat, do not) “ghost” them. They may be holding a date for you and potentially turning down other clients to keep it reserved. Let them know (politely and promptly) that you’ve decided to go in a different direction. Step Ten: Get recommendations.[/b] Your wedding will run even more smoothly if your vendors work well together. Don’t be shy about asking your vendors for recommendations in different categories. If you like a particular vendor’s style, it’s likely that he or she frequently works with others who have similar personalities. For example, perhaps your photographer can recommend a videographer they work with often. Or a florist can recommend a lighting designer whose work they admire. Of course, planners are the ultimate pros at connecting couples with wedding pros. Just don’t forget to check those vendor reviews. Source: http://blog.spacebook.ng/2017/06/find-book-perfect-vendors/

Picking a wedding day isn’t as simple as just picking a date out of a hat. You’ll need to do a lot of research before choosing that big day. Here are the most important things to consider when you’re deciding on a wedding date. Time to Plan You’ll want to make sure that you have enough time to plan your wedding – without getting too stressed. Taking at least a year to plan your wedding is recommended and will make for a less stressful experience, but it can be done (if you start now) in nine or six months. Less than six months will be difficult, but many couples have made it happen! The Season and Weather Rainy Season, Dry season – what’s your dream season to marry in? Consider what the weather conditions would be like during the time you plan to have your wedding and also, what part of the country your wedding is taking place. This is important if you’d like an outdoor wedding or if there is some other element of the outside environment on the day of your Event. In the End, Most people tend towards the Dry seasons so as to reduce the effect of the weather on their special day. Dream Venue If there’s a venue where you’ve always dreamed of marrying, then check their availability before setting a date. If you’re open to any venue, then you can do things in reverse – set a date and then start your venue hunt! Holidays While hosting a wedding on a national holiday or during a holiday weekend isn’t a total no-no, you should be aware that many of your guests won’t be able to attend due to travel or family obligations and vendors may be extra busy as well. Religious holidays are also important to consider – as it may not be advised to get married on some religious holidays. Local Events Just like the recently concluded Lagos at 50 Celebrations, Parades, sporting events, major conventions, and other local events that will cause sold-out hotels and lots of traffic should be avoided. As a rule of thumb, it’s better to avoid dates like this. Your Nearest and Dearest Talk to your closest family members and friends about any important dates they have coming up. Make sure that these dates are truly important (the person would not be able to attend your wedding) before taking it into consideration. So that means your mom can miss her monthly village meeting since that’s not so important. Other Weddings Is anyone in your family or close circle of friends getting married soon? Think about their wedding dates when planning for yours. It may be difficult for family members or friends to travel on a back-to-back weekend, so try to have a buffer of at least a week or two in between weddings. Work Schedules You don’t want to leave for your wedding while totally stressed about an important work deadline or event. Try to set your wedding date for a time that’s relatively calm for both your and your fiancé(e)’s jobs. Budget Concerns While it depends on where you’re getting married, generally, the most popular months to get married in are June and September. It will probably cost you more to get married in one of these months as opposed to January and February, which are less popular. In our humble opinion, wearing beautiful dresses to a friends or family member’s wedding is a total blast. You get to pull out your prettiest dresses, most fabulous suits, or the cufflinks you wear only once a decade and show them off to the people who know you best. Sounds pretty great to us. And while it’s important to always dress in a way that feels comfortable for you, suits your personal style, there are a few rules to keep in mind when dressing for a wedding. You want to look your best and have fun, not be worried about offending the couple or ruining their wedding photos. So read on for our best advice on what not to wear to a wedding! White This one’s probably pretty obvious, but the only person in the room wearing white should be the bride. Any guest choosing to wear a dress should steer clear of white and off-white shades. A bridesmaid dress We know, we know, you’ve been a bridesmaid at too many weddings than you can count and you’ve got all those nice and colorful dresses jammed in the back of your closet. But unless you’ve found a way to style an old bridesmaid dress that totally transforms its bridesmaid-y vibe, then we suggest saving those for other, non-wedding occasions. You don’t want to be mistaken for a member of the bridal party, or look out of place in wedding photos. Too Much Makeup This is a rule that most Nigerian ladies go overboard with because you have a 20-gram jar of Mary Kay doesn’t mean you should apply all in one go, makeup please make up with moderation. We ould love to see the beauty that lies beneath all those chemicals, and not the chemicals themselves. Denim To put it simply, denim is too casual for a wedding. Unless you’re going to a wedding where the marrying couple has said “anything goes,” (which is pretty rare in Nigeria) swap out your jeans for slacks or a nice pair of trousers, add a nice blouse or dress shirt, and you’re good to go for a semi-formal affair. Shorts This one applies to both men and women. Leave your denim and cargo shorts at home, they’re never welcome at a wedding, Except you want to be looking like the gateman. Flip-flops (bathroom slippers) The marrying couple may put out a basket of flip-flops for guests to wear as things pick up on the dance floor, but you never want to start out with a pair of old rubber flip-flops. A pair of dressy sandals is absolutely fine, (especially if you are wearing native) but leave your old bathroom slippers at home. Sweats, Athletic Apparel, and sneakers This should go without saying, but with the rise of athletic apparels over the last few years, leggings and sneakers have begun to make more and more frequent appearances at weddings. So we’ll say it once and for all: Unless the couple specifically asks guests to wear gym clothes, avoid them. You can wear them every other day of your life, put real pants on to attend your best friend’s wedding. Source: http://blog.spacebook.ng/2017/05/wear-wedding-nigeria/

Website cloud storage is becoming cheaper every day, with Softwares like Dropbox and Google Drive coming to our aid, having a web page is a no brainer. A wedding website has a whole lot of benefits that cannot be over emphasized. The world has gone totally digital with new advances in technology, from messaging apps like WhatsApp to Self-driving vehicles. This is not the case for the wedding/events industry but you can use this to your advantage by making your occasion different with a wedding website. 1. A chance to tell your story in your own unique way. “How did you guys meet?”. This is a very popular question from friends and family. A website gives you a blank canvas to tell your story however you like to, to the world. You can decide to tell your story with a blog post with corresponding pictures of different stages of your relationship. 2. Makes finding the Location of your wedding venue easier One of the problems of most guest when it comes to Events is finding the exact location. If I had a dollar for the countless time iv missed my way when going to a wedding function, il be rich.Losing your way can be very frustrating when going to an event. Imagine the frustration if your guests loose their way to an event after dressing up to kill and having the “all eyes on me factor”. Very depressing I guess, some may even turn back and go home, Life is short. A wedding website prevents this from happening by having a Google Maps Locator on it. With this Integration, Your guest can easily navigate to the exact location of your wedding with apps like Google maps, Ways and Apple maps. This eliminates time wasting and ensures your guests would arrive at your event on time. 3. Storage for Pictures and Videos for life Click click click. now you have 4000 pictures and 4 hours length of videos of your wedding.Where do you keep all these? Gone are the days of Dvr, DVD, and VCD, everything is digital now. A website gives you the ability to store all your videos and pictures online for future purposes. It gives you a digital album that you can interact with and if you really want to be cutting edge, you can have a wedding video in VR (virtual Reality) so at any time in the future, you can physically walk through your wedding ceremony literally, Sweet right. With the cheapness and Efficiency of clouds storage, you can be assured of the safety of all your wedding content, wich may not be so if you kept it on some other form of physical storage. 4. Ease of access Having a website for your wedding ensures ease of access whenever you have to view any of your content. Just like the way you watch youtube videos, you can access your footage from any device in the world once you have Internet connectivity. So no more scrambling around for that flash drive or that DVD when you want to show friends later on how fun your wedding was. 5. Unique Let’s think about it, How many of your friends who got married ever thought of having a website, Very few right ?. Even with the cheapness and speed of having a website up for a very small fee inside of a day, a lot of people wouldn’t even think about it due to a majority of reasons which may including conformity (people are really that different), lack of exposure and Fear of change. Having a website is a very affordable way to set you apart from the crowd when it comes to your marriages and events, so no need going overboard with how many Champagne you should have on each table when you can easily create unique with something as simple as a website. 6. An Easier way to share Gone are the days of sharing your Pictures directly on Facebook and Instagram, that’s so Cliche, heck, every Tom Dick and Harry does that these days. Using a personalized website to share your upcoming event gives you the wow factor and also creates word of mouth and buzz for your event. It also gives you an Organized flow and arrangement for your content, instead of flooding everybody’s timeline with sharing 50 pictures consecutively on Instagram,(which is really super annoying to all your friends ) a website would help you arrange everything in one place for easy sharing. A Better Invitation and Estimator Having a website could also help you estimate the number of people (exclude mummy and daddy’s friends tho, those ones are not gonna register for sure) who would come for your wedding through an easy show of interest through your website. A simple tool to use would be Google forms, which would make registering as fun and simple as dropping a phone no and an email. This would make you able to estimate the no of friends to budget for and also curb wastage. 8. An easy way for your guest to purchase shopping gift cards and Aso Oke. Another usefulness of a website is the enablement of your guest to pay for all your wedding is offering through an online platform. With a website, guests can buy Shopping Giftcards, Aso-oke for your wedding easily without having to stress themselves (welcome to the future).Gone are the days when you manually go to all your guest’s house to bug them down for Aso oke money. With the Advent and Ubiquity of Payment apps like Haystack, Flutter waves and the very popular Interswitch, Payment for all the above can be done online in less than 10 seconds, so no more “I forgot to buy a gift for your wedding because I couldn’t go to Eko Idumota Market” These eCommerce sites allow you to add exactly the items you want to your wedding car, that way, it is only the things the couple needs that gets to be shown when friends visit the gift section of their site. This way, you don’t have people buying you things you don’t need as a gift on one’s big day. Also, another advantage of this is the e-commerce site handles the logistics of delivering the gifts to an address after the wedding unlike the conventional method of getting all the gifts on the wedding day and then trying to arrange how to move all the gifts yourself which could be very hectic. Somewhere to keep memories for your kids and future generations You know all those American movies we are used to watching, where we see some old tapes of the kids or of the wedding playing from a VCR with the whole vintage feeling, and you wonder why your parents never did that for you when you were younger or why there is no footage of their wedding, well, the internet wasn’t as advanced and accessible back in the days. Years back, you could easily store stuff online due to a lot of issues ranging from the Slow internet speed in Nigeria to High cost of storage platforms. All that is past now and there is no excuse for not having some digital footprint of your Wedding.A website also gives you the opportunity to save all your content for your Kids and their future generation, so sometime in the future “Tobi” and “Tola” can access it and see what a beautiful wedding their parents had. 10. Having a Digital Guestbook. With a guestbook on your wedding site, your friends can make comments on the 2 people getting married, how they met them, words of advice to them and best wishes and all these will be on the website. This would be impossible physically due to the time constraint on the day of the event, the guest book would give everyone the choice to express their best wishes easily. Watch this space for content on “How to get a website for your event”, I would be writing about that in the next post.thanks for reading. Thanks to Temi and Deolu (The Happily married couple) for giving us permission to use their website as an example and for being very creative with their planning. Engagement season is seriously the most wonderful time of the year and a lot of people pop ‘the question’ during this period. If you’ve already got the ring and the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you’ve got the first two steps of proposing covered. Now it’s time to figure out where you’re going to pop the question. Here are a few of our favorite places to propose. The Site of Your First Date If you and your better half are the nostalgic types, consider popping the question back where it all began. Take your partner to the site of your first date and take a stroll down memory lane before getting down on one knee. Outdoors Maybe your and your partner are nature enthusiasts—use this to your advantage. Proposing in nature doesn’t mean traveling out of Nigeria to Zimbabwe or to one of the other natural wonders of the world. It can be right in your hometown. Whether you go on a romantic hike or long walk on the beach, the beautiful outdoors will be the perfect backdrop for your proposal. While Trying Something New For all the adventurers and adrenaline junkies out there, we suggest popping the question while attempting a new activity. Whether it’s climbing a mountain (Olumo Rock), Going Kayaking, a waterfall (Erin Ijesha), Yankari Game Reserve, a proposal will make the experience that much more special. Plus it makes for a wild story to tell your friends and family members for years to come. A Restaurant If you and your partner are foodies, proposing in a restaurant (especially a new hotspot you’re psyched to visit) can be ideal. While we don’t recommend hiding the ring in the food (too risky- It may get eaten), you can easily pop the question toward the end of the meal. To add to the element of surprise, you can even have family and friends waiting in a private room at the restaurant to keep the party going! At Home If you and your significant other are the kind of couple that just want to hang out at home, or you just don’t have the time to plan an over-the-top proposal, consider staying home and making it truly special. Whether you choose to make a romantic meal for two or cuddle on the couch with your favorite sweet treat and Netflix, an intimate proposal at home will be a great start to your new life together. While on Vacation With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to orchestrate a proposal. If you and your partner have a vacation coming up, you have the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Whether you’ve got some touristy activities planned or are just hoping to get some relaxing time in, you’ll have your partner’s undivided attention. At a Family Event Now we don’t suggest popping the question at someone else’s celebration (like a baby shower or wedding), but if the family is important to your partner, a family event or function will be a great background for your proposal—we’re thinking Christmas morning. Family members will also be so happy to be a part of that special moment in your life. source http://blog.spacebook.ng/2017/05/7-places-to-pop-the-question/

Lmao... This would surely work in Nigeria daewoorazer: |
There are very few rules when it comes to how to propose. A successful proposal can be spontaneous or planned to the minute, at home or a far-off location, simple or elaborate. However, there are certain times when it’s not the best idea to pop the question for a variety of reasons. To ensure that you get the response you desire (an excited “yes!” in most cases), avoid proposing during these times. A particularly sad or stressful time for your partner. You might think that proposing during a sad or stressful time (for example, after the death in the family, an illness, a car accident, etc.) might “cheer up” your partner, but it can actually have the opposite effect. When negative emotions like anger, fear, or sadness are at an all-time high, it can be difficult for a person to completely switch gears and celebrate something positive. Allow your partner time to recover from a difficult experience before popping the question. While celebrating someone else. Stealing a friend or family member’s thunder is a major no-no. For example, don’t pop the question at your cousin’s baby shower or your best friend’s wedding. Let your relative or friend have the spotlight during these times, and save your proposal for a different time. This includes proposing immediately after a close friend or relative proposes. While you might be disappointed that you didn’t propose first, don’t pop the question immediately after a loved one—give it a few additional months before proposing. During a work-related event. In most cases, it’s not the best idea to mix business with the personal. Don’t barge in the middle of your partner’s important presentation or a work conference and get down on one knee. Your partner’s colleagues might think the spectacle is unprofessional. At the same time, try to avoid proposing during a particularly stressful time at the office. Your partner might not be able to fully celebrate your engagement if he or she has to head to the office immediately after saying “yes.” In the middle of or right after a fight. If you and your partner in the midst of a disagreement, whether it’s a minor tiff or something major, don’t propose just to “make things better.” You and your partner should hash out your issues first and take the time to cool down after a fight. You don’t want your partner to have any lingering feelings of resentment or anger when you pop the question—you might not get the answer you desire. When she is distracted. There are times when your partner will be intensely focused on a task or an event—her favorite team is movie may be showing, a concert she has been waiting months for, a project that requires attention, etc. While popping the question may make an already exciting event even more exciting, we say let your partner enjoy the event at hand, and then propose afterward. You want your partner’s focus to be completely on your proposal, not trying to look at the TV and the ring at the same time! When it’s not a good time for you. Proposing may be nerve-wracking, but in the end, it should be an enjoyable experience for both you and your partner. If circumstances, whether it’s feeling under the weather, dealing with a work crisis or family troubles, or being stressed for a different reason, will prevent you from focusing on your partner and being truly happy during the proposal, we recommend waiting. Don’t let yourself feel pressured into proposing at a particular time. Waiting for the right time to propose will make the experience that much sweeter. http://blog.spacebook.ng/2017/05/you-should-not-propose-to-your-fiance-during-these-times/
