Mr. Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared his victory at the elections inconclusive. As immediate past Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Kingsley Kuku appears before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to answer questions relating to his tenure, a Federal Capital Territory High Court has restrained the security agencies from arresting him. Kuku, who was invited by the EFCC in late July to clarify issues relating to his tenure at the Presidential Amnesty Office, however got approval to proceed with a major surgery on his knee in the United States of America. He is due to report to the EFCC on September 30, but there are claims that the security agencies have laid ambush to arrest him as he enters the country ahead of his appearance before the anti-graft agency. Those restrained by the order issued by Justice Valentine Ashi are: Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Inspector General of Police, Department of State Service, DSS, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission. Justice Ashi issued the restraining order after listening to arguments from counsel for EFCC, ICPC and DSS and that of Kuku arising from suit No. CV/2695/2015 and a motion marked No: M/9541/2015 before the court. A certified copy of the order signed by the Court Register, Balami, E.P, warned the respondents not to interfere with the freedom of the former presidential aide pending the hearing and determination of the case. Nigeria’s former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday P. Orubebe has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Orubebe, who threw caution to the wind and accused the Independent National Electoral Commission chief, Prof. Attahiru Jega, of bias during the collation of presidential election results in March, said there was need for him to join the APC in order to make Niger Delta better in the new dispensation. He took to his Twitter page to make the announcement on Tuesday. “I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration.” “Details will be released soon. Investigators and officers from Ondo State Police Command are working round the clock to unravel the mysterious death of three persons after consuming a local gin, popularly known as ogogoro at Oka Motor Park in Ondo town, Ondo State. This is coming as the state government said last week that it had curtailed the outbreak of a strange disease which caused the death of 23 persons at Irele area of the state. The government said the 23 who died at Irele consumed poisonous ethanol and banned the consumption of ogogoro across the state. Vanguard gathered that the deceased persons in this latest incident included a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the park, an electrician and another person working in the motor park. It was learned that the three persons consumed the local gin at the park and immediately complained of stomach upset. Other members of the union reportedly applied local herbs to calm them down, but they soon became unconscious. An eyewitness said they died before they could be rushed to a nearby hospital in the town, adding that the deaths were mysterious as other members of the union usually drank the same ogogoro. What is Ebola Virus? Ebola virus disease (also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever), along with being one of mankind’s deadliest diseases, is also one of its most brutal. It causes extreme body aches, high fever, profuse vomiting, diarrhea and heavy internal and external bleeding, sometimes through body orifices and the pores of the skin. It is caused by a virus known as Ebola virus which was first identified in 1976. Symptoms can manifest themselves between two and 21 days after exposure and usually begin with headaches and fever. There is no cure for the disease, which has been fatal in up to 90 percent of patients during some outbreaks, though the current outbreak has killed about 60 percent of those so far infected. According the the World Health Organization, treatments include managing the patient’s fluids and electrolytes, as well as blood pressure and kidney function, all of which are in jeopardy as the infected bleed out of organs and even blood vessels. Some Key Facts About Ebola Recently, the US Embassy put out a circular concerning Ebola which includes how to recognise it and how to prevent yourself from getting infected. Below are some of the key points of that circular 1) The suspected reservoirs for Ebola are fruit bats. 2) Transmission to humans is thought to originate from infected bats or primates that have become infected by bats. 3) Undercooked infected bat and primate (bush) meat transmits the virus to humans. 4) Human to human transmission is only achieved by physical contact with a person who is acutely and gravely ill from the Ebola virus or their body fluids. 5) Transmission among humans is almost exclusively among caregiver family members or health care workers tending to the very ill. 6) The virus is easily killed by contact with soap, bleach, sunlight, or drying. A washing machine will kill the virus in clothing saturated with infected body fluids. This is serious, people can be very. Let me not say anything bad this morning. A Pastor in South Africa, Pastor Lesego Daniel makes his members to eat grass. Pastor Lesego Daniel is the founder and Head Pastor of Rabboni Centre Ministries in Garankuwa TUT campus at Pretoria, and he said he was trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies. The Governor after buying the plaintain chips, gave the young girl selling it N1million to help her in her Education. Nollywood actor, Jim Lyke, may have just returned to his old ways of being in the news for the wrong reasons. Jim was reportedly arrested in Ghana after being involved in a public fight. According to Ghanaian media reports, the event took place at the Crave Cafe at Adiringanor, East Legon, Accra, Ghana. Going by what the eyewitness said, the Nigerian actor who relocated to Ghana after his alleged ‘deliverance’ by Prophet TB Joshua, arrived at the cafe in a sport Chevy car to meet with another Nigerian who simply arrived earlier in a Range Rover, apparently to wait for Jim. Report also have it that the meeting became heated as Jim lyke and his friend argued back and forth over an alleged $10,000 and the argument later turned nasty which resulted in a fight that spilled into the street, hmm. It was gathered that as the fight raged on, Jim lyke entered his car and was about pulling out something suspected to be gun, when he was just prevented by the gathering crowd, while the other guy simply dashed off in his car only to come back with some policemen who arrested Jim lyke and took him away.
