Travel / Child Birth In USA by ajibola1982: 3:11pm On Jan 10, 2019
Hello Guys,

So this is my story, would need advice and am hoping this post and suggestion thereafter would be helpful to others.

My spouse and I applied for an American Visa for the purpose of a vacation and visa was issued in Jan 2018. To the glory of God, she got pregnant during the year and we thought this would be a good opportunity to use our visiting Visa.

We did our home work on Doctors and Hospitals in the United States, and made required payment. Two weeks to her trip, she sent the change of intent email, she successfully made it through at the point of entry and had long settled down in America, waiting for baby to come. We then receives a response from Consular Generals Office in Lagos stating, that both our visas are not valid for travel, as the original intent of the visa was not for medical care. She responded to them attaching payment receipt and appointment schedule with her doctor. They responded back, that we have to both come back for a second interview once she gets back to Nigeria, as the visa would not be valid for another trip.

So my question;
What documents should we get from the hospital to enable us present at the embassy for our second interview when she gets back?
Does the hospital have to categorically state that we did not receive any form of government discount or subsidy?
