President Muhammadu Buhari has strongly condemned the Sunday’s terrorist attack on the Pulse Night Club, Orlando, Florida, describing it as “criminal” and “cowardly.” A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, quoted the President who is currently on a 10-day vacation, as conveying Nigeria’s sympathy to President Barrack Obama and all Americans in a letter he addressed to the Ambassador of the United States in Nigeria, James Entwistle. The letter was signed on his behalf by his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. Buhari was said to have assured the US of Nigeria’s continued support and cooperation in the fight against terrorism. The letter read in part, “President Buhari extends his most sincere condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims. “The President condemns such criminal, cowardly attack, wherever it might occur, as an attack on all decent, democratic, peaceful people.

workers . Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose,
has again appealed to workers in the
state to call off their strike. Fayose, also clarified the comment he
made, where he said he was also on
strike. Fayose, in a state-wide broadcast at
the weekend, expressed sadness at
his inability to pay Ekiti civil servants
who have been on strike for two
weeks. “I want to thank you for your patience,
endurance so far in the face of this
strike and our financial challenges,” he
said. “It is rather unfortunate that we are in
this kind of situation, I want you to
remember that I have always made
you proud, I have always paid wages,
salaries on the 22nd /23rd of every
month. I have always done that which you can always remember, the effort
put in place by my administration
during the first tenure. “I love you, it’s not my joy; it’s not my
pleasure that you should continue on
strike.
