TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by akoja2(m): 3:14pm On Jul 20, 2017
Visa approved today July 20th, first application approved,

No agent used,
I see this platform as a means to learn and teach others from your experience.
I was a passive member of this trend, but I have been following from part 11.
Kudos to all the active members and those that chose not to kill their experience.

My theme: God First (Do all what you can do to move God's hand), Thorough Preparation(read transcript here, prepare your own, practice to reform till you have the best to deliver),

Profile: BSc Mathematics (2015, First Class Honours in a reputable University), applied to APSU TN, GTA offered with a year tuition waiver and monthly stipends (renewable).

Advice: Once again don't go late to the interview, don't answer those guys until you can see gathered applicants, probably on queue. If you are deceived by them (those hustlers by the entrance side), they can destabilize you.
Some people warned not to cram, but I won't say that, if you know something better when you cram, please do cram. Know yourself and what works for you. If you are the scared type, seek people's encouragement, you need it. Always tell yourself you can have it once. Sleep at least 5hours before your interview schedule.

Transcript goes thus:
The two guys before me was denied, wasn't scared because my case is different !

VO and me : Normal greetings

VO: Can I know what you're going to do in the US?
Me: I am going for my Master of Science in Computer Science and Quantitative Methods with concentration on Mathematical Finance at APSU in TN

Me: I'm single, not married

Such problems as Securities/asset valuation, Portfolio structuring, Risk management,Investment process, Scenario simulation.Uses techniques of scientific computing, such as portfolio theory, the Black-Scholes model,  numerical analysis, Monte Carlo simulation and optimization.

VO: How do you intends to pay for this study?

You guys are doing a great job here. I read through the 40 pages of complied delayed transcripts and over 100 pages of complied Approved transcripts. It really helped me. And my dear ProfOjah brushed up my responses during the mock interview we held.
Advice: You don’t need any agent to help you go through the process from beginning to finish. Did everything myself until I got stock during the interview part, but thanks to God, ProfOjah, the gurus here and everyone that shared their transcripts.

freslinkz:

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by akoja2(m): 2:53am On Jul 11, 2017
If they are going to change the I-20, will it change my SEVIS ID too?
femi312:
You can request for a new i20 if you still have time which I doubt. However, that is not a problem, once the VO ask you how you intend to fund your studies, you can now chip in that you got a GTA and make sure you print the award letter stating how much the GTA will offset in your Tuition bill and stipend as proof. You are not the first and you wont be the last. You should be fine.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by akoja2(m): 2:53am On Jul 11, 2017
If they are going to change the I-20, will it change my SEVIS ID too?
LagosismyHome:
Ask the school if they can redo the i20 to reflect it .... if time is short and they cannot then take a printout of the GTA for your interview and if any question arises about who your sponsor is then state you have GTA but its not reflected on your i20 because it came after and present it

Just work on your answers on why the school , why the course ...once you prepare well and with grace you should be fine
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by akoja2(m): 11:03pm On Jul 10, 2017
My department offered me a GTA after I have submitted my affidavit of financial support form. I am amazed to see that the GTA support was not included in my I-20.

How do I strongly defend my financial support without an evidence of GTA offer on my I-20 huh?
Please HELP!!!!
