“It will be insensitive to the point of absurdity for any leader or any political party to be toying with Muslim- muslim or Christian-Christian ticket at this juncture. “Nigeria cannot at this stage raise the spectre and fear of Islamisation or Christianisation. The idea of proselytisation in any form is a grave danger that must not be contemplated by any serious-minded politician at this delicate situation in Nigeria, as this time is different from any other time. “- Obasanjo |
Abuja Declaration is the outcome of a conference of the African countries of the OIC in 1989 and launched by a communiqué of the Islam in Africa Organisation (IAO) founded during this conference. The Islam in Africa Organisation (IAO) is a Nigerian statuted Islamic organisation, an initiative of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Dr. Usman Muhamad Bugaje is the current Secretary- General of the IAO. Goals and strategies: The organisation was founded on 28 November 1989 in Abuja , Nigeria, with the goal to win the whole of Africa for Islam. The statutes and goals are ratified in 1991 and this marks her formal definitive founding. The founding-communiqué is also called the Abuja Declaration . Starting point for the conference is the fact that Africa is the only continent with an Islamic majority and therefore Africa should become completely Islamic. The plan contains a lot of points that are also common for Christian missionary organisations as relief and economic progression. A battle plan was composed to Islamise Africa with some less innocent points in that decision: “To ensure only Muslims are elected to all political posts of member nations”. “To eradicate in all its forms and ramifications all non-Muslim religions in member nations (such religions shall include Christianity, Ahmadiyya and other tribal modes of worship unacceptable to Muslim).” (the word Christianity is underlined in the declaration) “To ensure the ultimate replacement of all western forms of legal and judicial systems with the sharia in all member nations before then next “Islam in Africa conference.” “To ensure the appointment of only Muslims into strategic national and international posts of member nations.” The execution of this strategy can be recognised in countries like Nigeria , Ethiopia and Sudan . In Nigeria more and more provinces choose for the Sharia leading to heavy protests of Christians, oft resulting in violence and bloodshed to both sides. In Sudan the government chose in 1983 for the Sharia, in 1991 sharpened with death punishment for apostasy from Islam. Funds: The government of Nigeria has donated 21 billion US-dollar conform an IAO-communiqué as donation to this “Islamic Development Fund”. Organisation:[/b The IAO consists of four main organisations: the General Shura’, the highest authority consisting of 43 members from all over Africa and the Diaspora. the Executive Comité. Buhari also have this to say.... Muhammadu Buhari, former head of state, says he is keeping an open mind about the possibility of picking a Muslim as his running mate if he gets the presidential nomination of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The issue of Muslim-Muslim ticket is seen as a potential setback for the APC in the election because of the increasingly political nature of religion in recent years. Buhari, in particular, is perceived as an extremist and his likely combination with another Muslim for the presidential election is considered in some quarters as too sensitive. But in an interview with TheCable, Buhari, a retired major-general, said he had demonstrated to Nigerians that he is not a fundamentalist and “there is nothing more I can do”. He said: “Nigerians will always uncover impossible room for manoeuvre for politicians. I had to face one of the governors during one of our party’s meetings [over the issue of religion]. “In 2003, I chose Chuba Okadigbo as my running mate. He was a Roman Catholic. He was an Igbo. In 2007, I picked Edwin Ume-Ezeoke. He was a Roman Catholic. He was an Igbo. And in 2010, I chose even a pastor. Pastor Tunde Bakare. “Honestly, what do Nigerians want me to do? If they don’t believe I’m not a fundamentalist, what else can I do?” He likened his situation to that of Moshood Abiola, a southern Muslim, who picked Babagana Kingibe, a northern Muslim, as running mate in the 1993 presidential election. The Muslim-Muslim ticket went on to win an election that is still considered by many as the most credible in Nigeria’s history. “I have not absolutely closed my mind to picking a Christian or Muslim as running mate if I get the ticket. Because I firmly believe that Nigerians, having gone through what they have gone through, realise it is not a matter of religion, but a matter of Nigeria. “And the main religions, Christianity and Islam, they know and they believe in the almighty God. The question of stealing and short-changing people in the name of religion should stop,” he said. He made reference to the 1961 northern house of assembly election, when Ibrahim Imam, a Kanuri Muslim from Borno, won an election to represent Tivland, a Catholic domain in the middle belt, after being sponsored by Joseph Tarka, the leading Tiv politician then. “This new phenomenon of religion is another blackmail political confusionists in Nigeria are bringing to the fore,” he said. He also said religion cannot be an issue if he wins APC’s ticket and goes ahead to win the presidential election, because of the background of many political leaders from the south-west. The wives of Bola Tinubu, APC national leader; Oyo governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola; Ogun governor, Ibikunle Amosun; and former APC interim chairman, Bisi Akande, are all Christians, Buhari pointed out. “For goodness sake, the children of these political leaders were bred and brought up by Christian mothers. You think those people, wherever they participate, they will bring a religious issue? What kind of people are we? Nigerians will always bring something to cause confusion while we are trying to stabilise the system,” he said. Fashola, a Muslim, is one of those touted to be his running mate, although TheCable also reported recently that former attorney-general of Lagos, Yemi Osinbajo, a professor of law and a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is being considered as well. Rotimi Amaechi, governor of Rivers state, is also on the cards. |

Muslim-muslim, Christian-christian ticket dangerous -Obasanjo OCTOBER 26, 2014 BY SAMUEL AWOYINFA, ABEOKUTA 11 Comments Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has said it is dangerous for any party or a politician to toy with the idea of fielding either a muslim-muslim or christian- christian ticket, given the current happenings in the polity. He said this on Sunday, in a statement issued in Abeokuta, Ogun State, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent. He called for sensitivity and vigilance on the part of the leadership. He said, “It will be insensitive to the point of absurdity for any leader or any political party to be toying with Muslim- muslim or Christian-christian ticket at this juncture. “Nigeria cannot at this stage raise the spectre and fear of Islamisation or Christianisation. “The idea of proselytisation in any form is a grave danger that must not be contemplated by any serious-minded politician at this delicate situation in Nigeria, as this time is different from any other time.” According to him, sensitivity is a necessary ingredient for enhancement of peace, security and stability at this point in the political discourse and arrangement for Nigeria and for encouraging confidence and trust. He explained that disregarding the fact that there were fears that needed to be allayed at this point would amount not only to insensitivity of the highest order but would also amount to very bad politics indeed. |

Iran has gone ahead with an execution of a woman despite an international campaign urging a reprieve. Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26, was hanged in a Tehran prison on Saturday morning. She had been convicted of killing a man she said was trying to sexually abuse her. Jabbari was arrested in 2007 for the murder of Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence ministry worker. Human rights group Amnesty International said her execution was "deeply disappointing in the extreme". A campaign calling for a halt to the execution was launched on Facebook and Twitter last month and appeared to have brought a temporary stay in execution. However, government news agency Tasnim said on Saturday that Jabbari had been executed after her relatives failed to gain consent from the victim's family for a reprieve. It said her claims of self-defence had not been proved in court. A Facebook page set up to campaign for a stay now says simply: "Rest in peace". 'True intentions' Jabbari's mother, Shole Pakravan, confirmed the execution in an interview with BBC Persian, saying she was going to the cemetery to see her daughter's body. After her arrest, Jabbari had been placed in solitary confinement for two months, where she reportedly did not have access to a lawyer or her family. She was sentenced to death by a criminal court in Tehran in 2009. Amnesty International said she was convicted after a deeply flawed investigation. Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Amnesty's Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa Programme said: "This is another bloody stain on Iran's human rights record." "Tragically, this case is far from uncommon. Once again Iran has insisted on applying the death penalty despite serious concerns over the fairness of the trial." Amnesty said that although Jabbari admitted to stabbing Abdolali Sarbandi once in the back, she alleged that there was someone else in the house who actually killed him. Jalal Sarbandi, the victim's eldest son, said Jabbari had refused to identify the man. He told Iranian media in April: "Only when her true intentions are exposed and she tells the truth about her accomplice and what really went down will we be prepared to grant mercy," The United Nations says Iran has executed about 250 people this year. |
Jalingo – Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving. Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident in Jalingo. He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death. “In the early hours of today, one Kassimu Umar, who is believed to be a lecturer with COE, Zing had knocked down five primary school pupils in Zing, who all died on the spot. “After he reported the incident to the Pupule Police Outstation, irate youths in their hundreds, stormed the station, dragged him out and lynched him. “Our investigation revealed that the lecturer was trying to dodge a trailer, when he ran over the pupils whose ages ranged between eight and 11 years,” he said. Kwaji said that the matter was under investigation, adding that no arrest had so far been made. (NAN) |

Popular Islamic scholar, Dr. Ahmad Gumi, son of late famous Sheik Abubakar Gumi this morning wrote General Muhammadu Buhari an open letter asking him not to contest the 2015 presidential election against President Goodluck Jonathan in view of its severe implications. Sheik Ahmad Gumi Gumi’s public letter to Buhari was following reaction that trailed his piece ‘The Second Round Of Goodluck Vs Buhari: A Source Of Apprehension’ published by this medium on 18th October, 2014. Several supporters of Buhari have criticised Gumi over his letter accusing him of jealousy and hatred for Buhari. The cleric, who insisted that he will not shy away from speaking the truth, cautioned Buhari to be conscious of those surrounding him for political gain. Sections of the letter read as follows: I know I have access to your privy but this is meant for others to learn also. The prophet -peace be upon him- told one of the most honest and truthful of his companions Abu Zar Algafary: "oh Abu Zar, I truly love for you what I love for myself. I indeed see that you are weak so never accept to lead even two people and never accept safekeeping of the orphans wealth' An honest and candid advice from the prophet that is still valid today for any leader who's weakness borders on leadership qualities. The reason for Abu Zar's weakness has nothing to do with his credibility or truthfulness. Never! The prophet was narrated as saying: "there is nobody under the shadows of trees or bare sun that is more honest in speech than Abu Zar" Abu Zar - May Allah be pleased with him- is ascetic and inmaterialistic. Abu Zar is incorruptible. And yet he is not suitable for leadership. I am not claiming to be even by an atom's weight anything close to our noble prophet, yet I am encouraged to give you this same advice by the virtue that you are not also close to Abu Zar in piety. We are living in a time of great tribulations and fitnah especially for this Ummah because of our collective iniquities, ignorance of religious instructions and the love of Dunyah. Sir, your weakness is not in your past impeccable record of accountability of public wealth and the fight against corruption and indispiline. Your weakness is in your inability to control men compounded further by your strict and obsessive rejection of corruption. Don't be surprised. You may need to understand that Islam being a pragmatic religion allows the use of Zakkat and public wealth as an instrument to pacify and lure influential people for the sake of rightouness, peace and stability. In modern governance today it translate into the security vote. Thus men are also controlled by money. So if your policy of governance is obsessibly centered on sealing tight the use of money you will have great problem with men. An Arab poet said: "a fool cannot be the leader of his people but the true leader of the people must feign foolishness". It's convenient for your ardent supporters to quote copiously from the annals of history your great achievements but when your failures and weaknesses were pointed out they say that was in the past. Is the lessons of past history only good for the positive achievements? Doesn't that also explain our incessant failures? Your Excellency, good intentions are never enough. In the past, because of your clean records and straightforwardness you were lured by men who want only the vanities Dunya to uproot a young democracy on the caprices of fighting corruption. Corruption is no doubt an evil but there is a more monstrous evil than corruption. That is turmoil and insecurity. Peace and stability are the most important part of governance that no price is to high for them. The lack of peace, stability and security is the major predicament of this nation since independence. So when you were naively used by men to derail one, that is the greatest disservice you committed to the nation the ills of which we are yet to recover from. Do you truly believe Allah is still not in cognizance of that? You were lead to uproot a duly elected leader and incrassate him for close to two years knowing fully well that he has no charge of even the corruption that was labeled against him. Yes, Shagari was the leader and therefore he bears all the responsibility of misdeeds in his government, so also you were a leader and you should bear all the responsibility of derailing the peace and stability of governance in this country as a consequence of that putsch. You weakness in control of men became evident when the very people that used you to revolt against a constituted authority came back to uproot you from the seat of power. Your own kinsmen without a gun cocked in your defense. Today the corruption you were deceived to fight against has reached unimaginable level coupled with the worst state of insecurity and peace in the nation. There was just recently an attempt on your life like many of us. All this because you the honest people that are given the privilege of strengthening the Armed forces left it to meddle in politics. We thus lost everything. Neither the power nor the security. A believer is not stung from the same hole twice. Men used your innocence before to get power and dump you. Please be sensible today. Some other men still want to use you to get power and surely they will dump you again. You don't share the same philosophy at all. Even though as I explained later, your obsession and philosophy of fighting corruption is not the priority of Nigeria today. What Nigeria needs utmost now is peace and stability. This can only be achieved when the religious ethnic and regional divide is tamed. And you can only tame it with people without much precedence. People without much following. Yet people that are constructive and have the ability to control men. If Sardauna today is alive in your situation he will never contest for the presidential seat because of his deep understanding of what the nation needs. He will step down for a more acceptable younger person. It's on record that Sardauna even at the age of under 60 said he was not going to contest again preparing his only house in Rabah for retirement. I'll give you a similitude to buttress my point of priority. A person seriously injured and fractured from a road traffic accident when brought to the emergency room, the first priority of the doctors is to secure an intravenous line. Meaning get a drip set working into his veins to protect his vital organs like the heart and kidneys from the effects of shock and loss of blood. The fractures even though serious and the source of the blood loss may take days and weeks before they are even attended to beside the superficial dressings. Nigeria now needs peace and stability first. Then we talk of good governance later even though it's the source of the predicament we are facing. The present government has already charged the situation and played the religious divide to it's advantage. It's in circulation now, a SW pastor calling on Christians and the church to vote Jonathan as their only Savior. This religious card will be used to cover for his deficiency in governance. Your Excellency, you should understand too, that many if not most of your supporters are also looking up to you to protect them from the onslaught on their religion and region. This also the Christian will never believe the otherwise. Therefore the stage is set for religious confrontation which is the least the nation needs. What we need as a priority is peace and stability. From my view if APC can support as an example Amaechi or Okorocha/ Kwankwaso or El-Rufai or Tambuwwal ticket and the PDC will have Ukpabio/Muazu or Ribadu or Shekaru, the next four years will. - insha Allah - witness stability both in the north and south. And the electoral body will get the necessary infrastructure that subsequently the next election will be free and fair and the true reflection of Nigerians. If you may ask, why can't this same peace be achieved with you and another Christian running mate? Gen. you have antagonist, and they are many and also as ardent as your supporters. Your supporters have the biggest proportion of the underprivileged of the society which is the petrol that can be easily ignited by the slightest spark. The spark will be when you're declared the loser. And you know you can very well lose if the Christians follow their church -and why not in this era of mediocrity. On the other hand if Jonathan comes back. BH will be real not the political one we see. The turmoil will engulf the whole country not only the north. That is why I also call on PDP to present some other candidates. My Brother in Islam, please listen to the words of wisdom. And don't follow the whims of the riff raff. Before they used you the first time to disrupt the second republic, my father advised you against it. Today I am also advising you against contesting in the 2015 presidential elections because you will be used to ignite the nation -a dream well orchestrated several years ago- and also be used by bad people as a ladder to grab regional and local powers. I rest my case here. My best regards and condolence to your recent loss. May Allah guide you and protect you from the evil men and the jinn. Amin. BY NDAHI MARAMA, MAIDUGURI Barely two days when eight people including passengers and motorists were ambushed by suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram sect around the hilly road communities of Dzur in Hawul Local Government Area of Borno state, no fewer than four Christians were killed, living two churches and over 50 houses razed down by suspected insurgents in Pelachiroma community of Hawul on Tuesday. Pelachiroma is few kilometres away from Dzur which is a mountainous community harbouring terrorists camps along the Biu- Garkida- Gombi- Yola road where the late emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta, and other innocent people were ambushed and killed by suspected Boko Haram sect early this year. Hawul is a predominantly Christian community, south and about 210 kilometres drive from Maiduguri, the state capital that has been under series of Boko Haram attacks in the last couple of months ago with absence of security operatives. Just last two weeks, some insurgents stormed Shaffa community which is about 10 kilometres away from Azare, the council Headquarter and killed over 20 people including a Pastor of Living Faith Church, Pastor Eluid Gwamna Mshelizza who was slaughtered on his way to his house after performing a public sermon programme at about 10pm in the community. In that attack, no fewer than 6 churches were razed down with several houses and shops all belonging to Christians were looted and destroyed. Fleeing residents of pelachiroma told our Correspondent that the insurgents who stormed the village at about 9pm started shooting sporadically at their targets with no confrontation as people scamper for safety. ” They came with motorcycles and well armed with ak47 rifles and petrol bombs targeting christian faithful and our places of worship. ” as I am talking to you now we have all deserted our community as the insurgents who were chanting Allahu Akbar ( God is great) vowed to eliminate Christians in Haul Local government area. ” we are really disturbed because, Hawul which is predominantly a Christians community has been under series of Boko haram attacks without confrontation or deployment of military operatives”. Mr. John Markus pelachiroma lamented in a telephone call but now taking refuge in Biu council area. The Caretaker Chairman of Hawul Council area, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi confirmed the incident. He said, his people are under series of attacks by insurgents as security operatives particularly the military authorities have failed to deploy its personnel to Hawul despite all pleas. He said, “Yes some of my communities are currently under Boko Haram attacks, the insurgents laid raid ambush along Dzur highway and killed several people before destroying many vehicles last week. This time around they wrecked havoc in Pelachiroma where they killed three persons with destruction of churches, houses and business centres, but as government we are making frantic effort to see to it that security operatives particularly the Military are deployed to safeguard lives and property”. Dr. Malgwi stated. End |

Kwankwaso says under "no pressure" to quit By: Augustine Osayande 2014-10-22 09:00 Abuja - Kano State Governor and a presidential aspirant of the All People Congress, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has denied reports the is under pressure to step down for other aspirants of the party. “I’m not under any pressure to step down for anybody. In fact, nobody asked me to step down for anybody and doing that will not be even good for the party," he said. "People are used to either small parties or let me say medium-sized parties where people sit down and choose somebody in a room. Now we are talking about APC mega party which is not ANPP, CPC, APGA or CAN,” he added. He said people should look at example of the ruling People Democratic Party where from 1999 to 2011, presidential aspirants had to go for primary elections not arranged election. Also Read: Kate Henshaw picks up nomination form "It’s a collection of all and we always tell people to look at the example of PDP. Even when we have sitting presidents in 2003 and 2011 there were elections, serious elections. And that’s why the PDP has been winning all along and all others who are making arranged elections are losing elections.” Kwankwaso added that the ruling party had decided to do their own primary in the Villa and the APC was going to the field. “That shows us clearly that APC will win elections and the PDP will lose in 2015. I believe that since this party is very strong, all candidates should go round the country and campaign, bring in more hands, more people. And that’s exactly what we are doing." He was confident ahead of the poll. "One of the advantages that I have is that it is not only APC that will vote, the PDP will also vote for me in the general elections.” - CAJ News |
This article was written by Donald Ekpo. It's quite long but not withstanding, it's a good read. AN OPEN LETTER TO GEN. MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND HIS ADVISERS cc: Tinubu, Ameachi, Elrufai, Okorocha Sir, In as much as I could have fared better by just keeping mute and allowing you, our perpetual unelectable past military dictator and Head of State General Buhari to go to the polls and fail as usual, I find it very amusing, embarrassing and insulting that you keep allowing yourself to be deceived by those you call aides. In 2003, you were deceived, you fell for it and got embarrassed though unnoticed. In 2007 you tried again, you came out crying and swearing, yet it made no difference. In 2011, you probably felt like Abraham Lincoln, so you came to try again, you were massacred in the polls. Out of anger you called out your butchers to go on a killing spree, and several hundreds of innocent Nigerians were killed. I remember you wept and promised never to try again. I wonder what came over you again Sir, I wonder who advised you, I wonder what makes you feel that you could take advantage of the misplaced zoning formula of the PDP to make yourself as the only available consensus northern candidate like Atiku. Sir, you believe in the absence of a PDP northern candidature, you stand a chance? Sir, you may have been fully convinced by the turn out during your declaration. Oh! What a deceit. Whoever did this to you General does not like you. On a second thought, I sort to ask who your immediate advisers are? can you imagine that the likes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, Elrufai, baby Governor Rotimi Ameachi and disgraced governor Timipri Sylva are now you closest advisers. What a people. Sir their names alone can be defined as the selfish, power-hungry and con-men of our time. If you ask them what qualities of you makes you electable, Sir am sure they will tell you that you are incorruptible. Incorruptible? and you are feasting with corrupt men. You are seen with them, they think with you and you act like them. And you expect Nigerians to assess Bola Ahmed Tinubu as incorruptible? You want Nigerians to look at your financier the Child Governor as incorruptible? Lord Jesus!!!. And because birds of the same feather flock together, they were able to advise you to lie to Nigerians that you borrowed money from the bank because of your relationship with your bank manager? When did busy bodied Ameachi become your bank manager? As incorruptible as you are, you could not tell them that you don't lie? Your advisers also told you to tell the world that Abacha was incorruptible? it is alright, I understand, You are as incorruptible as General Sanni Abacha. Mr General Sir, I never knew how corrupt Abacha was until the likes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu told Nigerians. I never knew that you could convince them of your very self and Abacha's incorruptibility until I saw them flocking with you. I never knew you could also convince them to come with you to visit General IBB to give you his blessings. Amongst all the Generals I know in the Nigerian Army, you have been the most inconsistent. First, like in my dream, you took up a job from your junior officer that was one of the arrow heads in the coup that toppled your government. Yet you carried a grudge against IBB and you still do. You took the job because it availed you the opportunity to steal Petroleum Trust Funds meant for development. You stooped so low just for money. You have never been sincere in your life. You keep telling Nigerians you are broke, you have never told Nigerians what you do for a living. You don't work, you don't farm, you don't own an investment. Sir how do you feed and fly around in a private jet? Sir how much is your pension? Let me remind you sir. Shortly before the coup that you plotted to topple a democratically government in December 1983, HE Alhaji Shehu Shagari excused you in Jos during an event, and told you he has heard rumors of an impending coup, You people were seated together, He spoke to you in confidence, yet you lied to him, you acted as pretentious as you are and ordered your lieutenant to call the GOCs for a meeting to clear the air. You pretended as you were an umbrella protecting the President. You made all of them swear that there was nothing like that. Yet on the new year eve, you betrayed the same man that entrusted his life to you. As a matter of reference, can you tell Nigerians what you did in your 2 years as head of government? You had no National Assembly to check up your excesses, So what did you do or achieve that will make Nigerians want you to come back and finish? Sir did you build any road? Please can you show me one hospital you built for your people? Did you create a state like your contemporaries? Did you build any institution that can be referred as a creation of your government? How was the economy of Nigeria then that you have shamelessly claimed that Nigeria's economy is depreciating? Sir have you forgotten how you canceled all the mouth watering developmental projects that would have grown our economy by today? If you were to sit on a panel to tell Nigerians what you did what will you say? That you back dated a law just to kill Nigerian youths? That you tortured Journalist? That you took away Nigerians' freedom to talk? That you selectively locked up all southern politicians in Prison while you kept their northern counterparts either in their house or in your guest house. Can you tell Nigerians why you locked up Ojukwu and Awolowo that were not in government? can you tell Nigerians why Ekweme that went to government richer and left poor was locked up? Can you explain to Nigerians why you took away their freedom of speech? Can you explain why you criticize government when you decreed a law that was to lock up any Nigerian that criticized government? Sir, I have a feeling that you are a hypocrite of the highest order. IBB must be laughing at you. Can you honestly tell Nigerians how qualified you are to rule over them. Yes you are qualified to rule Almajiris, but how about the average youth in Nigeria that is educationally qualified than you, how do you intend to rule him/her? General Buhari, as an adult of workable age even if you should be enjoying your retirement like those that came after you, what is your educational or trade qualification? Do you have any? What is your managerial qualification or skills? Even our amiable General Abdusalami Abubakar that retired from the army 15 years ago is happily retired in his country home, and you that left the army about 30 years ago is still flying around looking for ways to be Nigeria's President? Sir on what basis? The present President now a Doctorate degree holder was less than 26 years when you were President, Sir is it not shameful that you expose yourself to continuous failures in the hands of people that you once ruled over? All our past Presidents and heads of governments are elder statesmen with international Portfolios. Ranging from General Gowon (Happy Birthday Sir) to our recent General from the farm, they are all either United Nations or African Union or Commonwealth Ambassadors, Sir you are still here receiving abuses and causes in the political sphere from people that saw you as a minigod in those days. Sir can you imagine how and what General IBB, General Gowon (HBD), General Abdusalami, General Obasanjo will regard you as? Imagine what Alhaji Shehu Shagari will be thinking about you? Do you still have the guts to look at him in the face? please what did he say to you last time you were with him at the state council meeting? Am sure he said he forgave you because there is nothing more to do to you. Your punishments are well placed sir. Tell your advisers that enough is enough, they cannot keep embarrassing you like this. Don't be misled by the turn-out during your declaration, have you not noticed that it is the same people that have been turning out for you all the time, and all you end up having is 12million votes out of about over 40million votes?. Votes that are regional and religious. Sir please hear what a fellow northerner at the event had to said; " Nevertheless, I was moved by curiosity to ask quite a number of them why they are inclined to his undaunted support? To my greatest amazement a large number of them responded similarly thus "MULKI NA YAN AREWANE, KUMA DOLLE TA KOMA AREWA" ...IN SIMPLE WORDS, LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE BELONG TO THE NORTHERNERS AND THEREFORE IT MUST RETURN THERE". It was a massive crowd highly dominated by the Hausa fulani of Nigeria, with a handful number of other tribes... it was a gathering of more regionally sentimental folks, with a clamor for northern agenda, and as usual with the crowd yearning for Buhari's support. It is highly dominated by hausa fulani tribe of Nigeria..Another, obviously deceived by my attire, said boldly to me that..."LOKACI YAYI DA ZAMU YIKWALLON WAJE DA WANNAN GWAMNATINARNAN"....BY INTERPRETATION, IS HIGH TIME WE SHOULD BOOT OUT THIS GOVERNMENT OF CHRISTIAN DOMINATED. What a pity.. Religion has become the driving force to the majority of their supporters. Like a saying goes, "when motive is wrong, nothing you do that is right". Therefore, if the undaunted support given to him is based on these reasons, as usual Buhari is about to set the highest record of presidential loss of election in the continent of Africa. Little wonder he has little electoral voting popularity in the Southern part of the country. The majority of Christians hearing such reasons for his people support(for Buhari) will rather pocket their vote and deliver it to a man who built Almajiri Schools to their fellow brothers the muslims in the North, yet he is not a muslim." Sir have you seen your support base are those that don't know why you should never be elected as President? Several millions in the north will not vote for you Sir. They already know who they will vote for. And by the time we finish exposing your motives to those in the south, they will prefer to stay at home than give their votes to "UNCERTAINTY" Am sure a lot of them enjoy their freedom, and your motives are clear, you have intentions of diplomatically Islamizing Nigeria, and that is not acceptable to all muslims, and you have never cared. Sir, remember you once told Muslims to only vote for those that will uphold Islamic tenets. I don't know if it is same with that of Boko Haram tenets, but I must tell you sir, Nigerians love their freedom, and will not risk it to uncertainty. You have never done as you say, rather you are full of surprises, who knows, maybe if given the chance, your next surprise may be too big a mistake to deal with. Because of these fears, sir please read what a fellow northerner said about how their votes will go; "They (northerners) will prefer to vote a man that gave them the highest number of Federal Universities newly created, even though he is not from the North. They will prefer to cast their vote to the President that gave them the highest number of political appointed positions, though he knows he is popularly called 'Arna' (a derogatory way of calling a Christian, though in actual sense it means "an infidel" . We are collectively beneficiaries ofSURE-P Programme as a nation irrespective of your region. Pathetically, the nomenclature attributed to him by El Rufai as a 'Perpetually unelectable' seems to have come to stay. If I go by my assessment of the crowd I saw and their buccal vomits of the reason for their support, then we are about to record another presidential unsuccessful story for the "Hausa/Fulani people's General". As a General in the Nigerian Army (Once a soldier always a soldier), Sir I appeal to you to look around you and take a few lessons from those that retired much later than you and also a few that did before you. Why is it difficult for you to accept your retirement in good faith Sir? Why can't you groom the younger generations to do what you could not do. Do I respect General IBB, yes I do with all my heart. Even when it was not acceptable to him, he knew when to draw the blinds. He left and went back to his quarters. He is still calling the shots from there, but you will never see IBB embarrass himself in the public, Never! Even my recent discussion with a family member, I learnt he advised his son to suspend his governorship ambition because he has weighed the chances to be a tough one. He will never seat and see himself, family or friend embarrassed in a public event as an election. Dear General Sir, If you had good and trust worthy advisers, they would have told you that political elections is like gambling, you don’t gamble when it is clear you will lose. A wise man knows when to throw in the dice and call off the shots. After three experiences, you should have known that you do not have what it takes to win an election because you lack the qualities of a united President. If there were provisions for a northern President, I can assure you sir, your chances would have been very high. My regards Sir. 1 Kanyi |
GEJ may end up picking Sule as runining mate. God bless my GEJ. |
Keneking:Yeah, that is exactly what i'm saying. Jonathan must go back in 2015 |
It will take GEJ another for Years to give us the needed and required development we want in Nigeria. Therefore, i will punish him by voting for him come 2015. He must continue till 2019. |
fes2ga:I just dey laugh. APC can never win the presidency. Deep inside ur mind you know that too. |
the road is now very clear for GEJ. I pray others like him should also defect so as to know those who are for us and those against us. God Bless GEJ. |
HonourablePomk:Sorry o. I thought Borno is an APC State and the Governor is the Chief Security of the State, collecting Millions or Billions of Naira from FG in the name of Security vote. Do you also think such deadly and evil group can function in anywhere in the Southern part of the Country? Never! Because the State govt and the masses will all unit again it. Therefore, they cant operate there. The fighting/defeating of Boko Haram must be a collective responsibilty (as you said ealier), not for the President alone. Here is my question, do you think the APC as a Party has been working with the FG in defeating Boko Haram? If your answer is yes, tell me how they have been doing it, and if your answer is no, just remain silent and forget about replying me. Thank you. God bless you! |
MadCow1:Yeah, GEJ till 2019. Some poeple may not be happy because Ebola has gone. But God did it through somebody. |
HonourablePomk:hmmm! If it was the other way round, you will all blem the FG. Ok, advice the leaders in the APC area to do same to Boko Haram. So that at the end of the day, we can also say 'we did it together' GEJ till 2019 or the breaking of NIGERIA. |
erayo2GCA:Buhari can never and would never rule this Country called Nigeria. He is only wasting his time. We must stop him! |
Arch1:GEJ till 2019 or Nigeria divide! We are not going to accept anything less than GEJ come 2019. |
brownlord:GEJ till 2019. If you cant beat them, you join them. Simple! |
Sincere9gerian:That Rail line do not look like what was started Yesterday. It been going on for Years now. |
roxell120:I just dey laugh! Anything less than GEJ in 2015 simply means the division of Nigeria. They have failed to stop GEJ with *Boko Haram *Creating of Addition 21,000 polling units in the North. *The kiddaping of the Christian school girls in Chibok *Arewa Consultative Forum Come 2015, the victory of GEJ is the victory of all Nigerians from the few cabals who have hijack power from the people. True democracy is voting for GEJ... |
Raymondenyi:I rather vote for PDP 1,000000 times than to vote for APC. APC is a Regional Party that true Nationalist must stop. Say no to APC! |
Keneking:Do you mean 'the Federal Repuplic Arewa'? |
EconElectronics:I like his post because of the word 'fruitless' and that is the only reason why i liked it. |
Francis5:You are wrong! The Governor before was a Christian. Boni Haruna by name, and he ruled for 8 unterrupted Years. |
dollarlander:May God hear our Prayers... |
