Romance › Re: “Date Multiple Men, Let The Winner Be Announced In Church” — Lady Says by akpumping7720(m): 10:02pm On Jun 23 |
SixSeven: Women don't have capacity for multiple heartbreaks or letting go of 9 other men especially if the 1 she chooses does not do well like the others.
Men do not perform well in a group interview setting. When a man realizes a woman is actively dating other men, his instinct is rarely to fight harder. Instead, he will protect his ego and steps back. He assumes the woman is not serious about him, so he stops investing emotionally.
This then creates a cycle where the woman thinks he does not care, but in reality, he is just matching her lack of exclusivity. This is why you see men wanting to know if there is someone else for you before you start dating. If he's not interested in knowing them, then he just wants to use you. Men know what they want but when they tell women, the options confuse them, that's why they keep choosing short term gains for long term grains.
Women are generally wired for emotional connection not multiple dating because it forces a woman to suppress her natural empathy and act like a manager. She has to constantly compare, analyze, and keep her guard up. This is why we also say it is difficult for women to cheat like men. It's not about competition. The nurturing nature of a woman is to care for her own. Even with children, give a woman 4 children, 1 for her , 1 from her sister and 2 from her in laws. You will see how she will treat them compared to her own child.
Treating dating like a game where the "winner is announced in church" will eventually backfires. You cannot build a deep foundation of trust while keeping nine other guys on reserve. The honest men who want a real connection will leave the game early because they dislike the drama. The only men who stay to "compete" are the players who enjoy the chase, meaning the woman usually ends up picking the most charismatic liar of the bunch. You got played sista!
Ps: this is another reason for having the marriage institution. To help the woman vet who is good for her in the long run, not for her to be playing cards like casino game Your wisdom will never depreciate. An aunt got played. She had other suitors when she was in her prime. But unfortunately, the guy she married impregnated another lady while they were about to get married. To cut the long story short, guy man married the aunt and the other lady she impregnated. Aunty dey fight battle in a polygamous home now. Mumsy saw the signs then and warned her not to marry this guy then but she didn't hear. She was busy rejecting other suitors not knowing that the guy is a charismatic liar just as you said. |

jenkate: Honestly, everything you said is the plain truth. And let me add my own experience, the company I currently work for is a perfect example of this broken system. They don’t pay well, they don’t value staff, and the way they treat employees is nothing short of disrespectful. You give your time, your energy, your skills, and in return you’re treated like you’re easily replaceable.
The sad part is that many Nigerian employers have built a culture where workers are expected to “manage,” stay loyal, and be grateful for crumbs, while the owners enjoy the full benefits of everyone’s hard work. They preach passion, dedication, and sacrifice, but when it comes to compensation and welfare, they suddenly develop amnesia.
People have dreams. People have responsibilities. People want to grow. But how do you grow when your salary can’t even sustain you, talk less of helping you build anything meaningful?
Until employers start seeing their staff as human beings with goals, not tools, nothing will change. And that’s why many people are quietly planning their exit. Because at the end of the day, if you don’t build your own life, no employer will build it for you.
