A 30-year-old man, Kwadwo Robert has died after reportedly eating the meat of a pregnant cat.

The incident happened in Asare in the Jaman South District of Brong-Ahafo Region in Ghana.

Kwadwo, popularly known as Asampian in the community, was said to have started putting up a strange display after he ate the meat.

Justice Abdulazeez Anka of a Lagos Federal High Court has awarded N20,000 as punitive cost against counsel to billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike also known as Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje in the N300m suit he filed against the Nigeria Police Force.

The judge in his ruling also warned Ogungbeje’s to desist from “practices unbecoming of a legal practitioner.”

Anka gave the ruling while adjourning the fundamental human rights suit Ogunbeje filed on behalf of Evans, who is still in police custody.

Suspected cult members have shot dead an undergraduate of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Saviour Enoch.

A middle-aged man has reportedly set himself ablaze over his wife’s alleged infidelity on Owharen Street, off Ovwian, in the Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

A father of three, Okechukwu Brown was on Monday in Lagos sentenced to three years imprisonment for defrauding an American of $3,650 in an online romance scam.

Justice Josephine Oyefeso of an Ikeja High Court handed down the verdict after Brown pleaded guilty to the charge. Brown was sentenced after entering into a plea bargain with the EFCC.

A religious leader has found himself in prison serving a jail term after he was found out to have committed a grievous crime.

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja yesterday sentenced an Islamic cleric, Taofeek Olawale, to 14 years imprisonment for attempted robbery, The Guardian reports.

Justice Raliat Adebiyi gave the sentence after he was found guilty on the two-count charge of conspiracy and attempted armed robbery filed against him by the state government.
