Career / If You Are In Tech And Don’t Have Any Of This, You’re Gone! by alakethegoat: 1:51pm On Nov 07, 2023
If you are a new tech startup or you know someone who knows someone who also knows someone who is a new startup🤦🏽‍♂️, don’t scroll without reading this.

Without wasting your time, let’s dive in quickly:

📍Recruitment policy: This outlines their company’s procedures for hiring new employees. If they don’t have this, they are obviously running a child’s play business.

📍Legal counsel: As a startup, you need access to legal counsel and support to ensure your company’s compliance with local laws and regulations. This is very crucial. ( If you don’t know how to, book us for a free clarity call.)

📍Employee Handbook: Everyone is familiar with what this is. It’s a must have for professional businesses.

📍Standard Operating Procedure: If you are a tech startup, SOP is crucial for maintaining consistency and efficiency in your tech startup operations.

📍Business Plan: Don’t go into business without a proper business plan — a roadmap that indicates your company’s systemic growth. Without a proper business plan, you will be out of business just the way you rush in.

📍Enough Money: You need enough money to run your company’s operations and equally pay your staff well. Happy staff make happy companies. The rest is left for you to decide.

Education / Creatrix Empire: Are You Looking To Work In A Place That Feels Like Second Home by alakethegoat: 10:29am On Nov 07, 2023
You know how we often dream about working in a place that feels more like a second home than just a job? Well, I've found a spot that's as close to that dream as it gets – CREATRIX EMPIRE!

From my findings I heard it’s more like a family get-together than a 9-5 . When you step inside, you're not just a worker; you're part of the clan. They've got this incredible vibe that's all about family, and it's not just words; it's in their DNA.

This family-oriented business is the brainchild of the Alades, a close-knit family based in the UK that shares an enduring love for art, music and literature. What began as a simple hobby has blossomed into a flourishing venture that continues to inspire many.

It is also the mother company to two power houses in the publishing and music sector, namely UNCUTXTRA magazine and Afrobeatsglobal.

I think what sets them apart is how they treat their team. Someone told me that their flexible work culture is like a breath of fresh air. And that it's this awesome blend of getting things done and enjoying life that makes work endearing.

Imagine a workplace where you are not just working; you're also making memories. Hmmm. And you're doing it alongside some of the coolest and most talented people you'll ever meet.

I agree with you.
armadeo:

Majority of the hate their employers true.

A lot of people earn shitty pay true.

Theres a lot of issues on ground concerning this majorly

1.) National minimum wage as approved by the federal government is 30k a month which is non sense as we all know and it is not even enforced in the private sector.

2.) Economics of demand and supply . There are few jobs for many people so the employer gradually reduces his salary and employs the most desperate of them to fill the role. After all if its 30k a month and I offer 20k people will still rush it.

Now a man taking a desperate job for 20k will hate you for utilising his desperation against him its only natural.

Career / Your employees don’t hate their jobs, they don’t just like you by alakethegoat: 10:37pm On Nov 02, 2023
A certain company (name withheld for privacy reasons) in the hospitality sector always had employees resigning in less than three months of their employment. They never for once considered this a problem until few months when it looked like they were going to go out of business.

This is the situation with many Nigerian companies. Having employees leave your company in less than a year or even few months is psychologically and structurally destructive to your business.

To prevent this, we encourage employee engagement at the HR desk. It involves creating a work environment where employees feel a strong sense of commitment to their jobs and the organization. Here are some key aspects to consider:

📍Recognition and Appreciation: Acknowledging and appreciating employees for their contributions can significantly boost engagement. What you can do as a company is to implement regular recognition programs and also foster a culture of gratitude.

📍Career Development: Providing employees with opportunities for growth and development within the company can increase job satisfaction and retention. This might include training, mentorship programs, and clear career paths.

📍Feedback and Communication: Create opportunities for employees to voice their concerns and ideas. Adopt regular feedbacks.

📍Work-Life Balance: Encouraging a healthy work-life balance helps reduce burnout and keeps employees engaged. Consider flexible work arrangements and initiatives to address mental and physical well-being.

📍Company Culture: The culture of an organization plays a crucial role in engagement. A positive, inclusive, and supportive culture can attract and retain top talent.

📍Benefits and Perks: Competitive compensation packages, benefits, and additional perks can be a significant factor in employee retention.

I also advise HR professionals to continuously assess and improve their strategies for employee engagement and retention to benefit the company's overall performance and success.

Crime / Re: Dear Job Seekers, Do Not Apply To Creatrix Empire International Limited by alakethegoat: 7:05pm On Nov 01, 2023

Someone actually need to call them out.

The atmosphere in that workstation are always tense and negative, the arrogant and non-challant CEO plus the management team regularly exhibited toxic behaviors such as micromanagement, favoritism, and bullying.

No matter how bad you needed to work, do not apply to Creatrix Empire International Limited

It is crucial to rely on factual information and credible sources to form an accurate judgment of any company, and in the case of Creatrix Empire, they are evidence that suggests that it is far from being a "bad" company.
