For 400years of slavery and 200years of colonization ,the niger area failed to produce a single freedom fighter.So you cant expect a yoruba,etc...to take a stance against the white man.Nigerians live in the fear of the white man!I think Jonathan doesnt know his own people!He should read a bit more about black history.In brasil,the best slaves were invariably the "sudaneses"(yorubas,ghanians,senegalese,et....).They never caused trouble and were always employed by the slaves masters as watchmen,spies,house slaves......Bantus were considered extremely dangerous and too subversive!Whereas bantus fought and created independant slaves states in brazil(kilombos),the "sudaneses" never raised a single finger against the white man.These are the lessons Jonathan should learn from black history.

Some people just live in the fear of the white man!What is wrong with this statement?When jacques chirac,the formmer french president,went on tv and said africans arent mature enough to deal with the challenges of a democratic society,was he not a head of state?What have africans achieve by being too "diplomatic"?Africans are insulted on a daily basis and it is refreshing to see an african head of state express what millions think.Had jonathan been an arab leader,millions of arabs would have come out to give him their support,Saddly,his ruling over millions of people who never stood up against any form of oppression(slavery,colonization)
