Hahahaha...Chatinet, it's not personal. Call a spade, spade...irrespective of your affinal ties.😁 I expect you of all people to know better.
How will a religious/tribal big.ot know better? They know what they are doing.

I can't imagine a normal humanbeing insult Tinubu and praise Obi.

If you ask them to compare Lagos and Anambra they'll say Lagos is a formal capital blah, blah. Abuja is the present capital and it's Tinubu and Wike that are repositioning Abuja to make it look like Lagos. How many presidents have Nigeria had that lived in Aso Rock? How many ministers has Abuja had? They knew what they are doing. That's why they talk down on the infrastructures the present administration has embarked on, they talk down on nelfund, water down foreign reserve. Talk down on GPD growth.

You know why?

Obi doesn't have any legacy whatsoever.

They know what they are doing. Only people that don't understand their agenda I pity.

PoliticsPeter Obi: Do You Still Insist On Nigeria Emulating The Indonesian Economy by alanto(op): 3:50pm On Jun 09
On Monday, February 10, 2025, and several times afterwards, Mr. Peter Obi praised the Indonesian economy as a model for Nigeria and severely criticised His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu's handling of the Nigerian economy.

Since that time, and as reported by several financial and economic publications, including the Financial Times and the Spectator Index, the Indonesian Rupiah has depreciated heavily against the US Dollar, losing almost 20% of its value, and going from Rp 16,173 to $1 in February of 2025, to Rp 18,063 to $1 today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Additionally, the Indonesian Rupiah was officially rated as Asia's "worst performing major currency" by Bloomberg, after it sank to a record low, forcing the Indonesian Central Bank to raise interest rates by 25 basis points to stop the free fall of its currency.

Furthermore, Indonesia has experienced a quarter-on-quarter GDP contraction of -0.77% in the first quarter of 2026.

In contrast, the Nigerian economy under His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, has experienced twelve uninterrupted cycles of GDP growth and trade surpluses.

Added to this is the fact that the Nigerian Naira, which traded against the US Dollar at ₦1,565 to $1 on Monday, February 10, 2025, when Peter Obi criticised Nigeria and praised Indonesia, has increased in value by 12.1% and now averages ₦1,365 today.

The Naira was also listed by FXTM as the second-best-performing currency in Africa for the first quarter of 2026, trailing only the Zambian kwacha.

Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund listed Nigeria as the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025.

This is even as Anna Bjerde, the World Bank's Managing Director of Operations, said that "Nigeria is now frequently cited globally as an example of steady, credible reform leadership."

This comes as Nigeria's economy has grown by $67 billion in two years, rising from a GDP of ₦269.29 trillion on May 29, 2023, when Asiwaju became President, to ₦372.8 trillion after the economy was rebased last year.

So, my question to Mr. Peter Obi is this: Sir, do you still insist that Nigeria emulate the Indonesian economy?

This is not an attack on the Republic of Indonesia, a great and proud nation, with which the Federal Republic of Nigeria enjoys an excellent relationship. The purpose of this is simply to inform Nigerians of the true state of their economy vis-à-vis what was said by Mr Peter Obi, a Presidential candidate in Nigeria, so that they can make a factual and honest assessment of Nigeria's economic well-being.

But if you are in Abuja, or anywhere in the South, don't waste your money on this party.
Go for NDC.
Even if you don't know how to spell Nigeria, on the wings of Peter Obi, you will win.
The same way it happened in the North with Buhari.
When it comes to Obi we can fling competence out of the window.
PoliticsRe: Why Unnecessarily Hike Transport Fare In Lagos On Mondays? by alanto:
anonimi:
Why the unnecessary hiking of petrol price since May 2023 instead of the promised crash by Tinubu?

How much was petrol three years ago and how much is it now huh
Una go cry tire. Subsidy is gone. If your candidate comes in and didn't remove subsidy the way the present administration did then he failed from the day one.

About the transport fare. The Lagos Monday Morning Rush is just like the way every festive period rush. People pay high in Lagos because the transporters knows everybody is going somewhere.

anonimi:
How many months after PDP removed telecom subsidies and deregulated the market, before the price of services crashed huh

Why has Tinubu failed to deliver on his promise to crash petrol price three years ago?
Prices were crashing before your white gold Donald Trump attacked Iran. If not for that war that many of you Obidients ig.nor.antly support. We would have gone far in stabilizing our economy.

I really don't understand why Obi behaves the way he does. You are not a government official, you don't have any hospital, you don't produce meds, you don't have NGO that does research on meds. So what's the meeting about? We have a sitting president and you keep doing this provocative stuffs. As who? His followers knows what he's doing is wrong, they would have called him out if he was another person. But they keep sharing him on. I've never seen this kind of insensitivity in my life. It would have been understandable if this was Atiku who was vice president for 8 years. A private citizen holding meetings on behalf of government. I really don't understand Oloun.

PoliticsRe: How Northern Terrorist Outsmart Southern Terrorists. by alanto(op): 12:26pm On Jun 03
I'm not comparing MNK with no one. I'm talking about how arrogance and stubbornness can send even an innocent person to jail while a real criminal walk free.
Ttalk:
What is on gound is beyond showing remorse. MNK fought for a just cause, his approach maybe barbaric but the current event makes him an angel.

MNK and IPOB didn't do 1% of what jihadist has done to the Nigerian people.

This is the time when Nigerians should have a genuine conversation or remain docile and continue to endure terrorism.
PoliticsHow Northern Terrorist Outsmart Southern Terrorists. by alanto(op): 8:15am On Jun 03
I have heard people argue why Nnamdi Kanu should be freed just the way Boko Haram are being pardoned while they are nicknamed "Repentant Terrorists" some argue if there's anything like repentant terrorist but in the face of law indeed there are repentant criminal.

I'm not a lawyer and don't know jack about the law but from movies I have seen and from what I've seen in reality. If you plead guilty in the court of law and show remorse you'll get a lesser sentence. If after conviction you show some sort of repentance you'll come out early or even get a pardon but in the case of Kanu.

MNK showed arrogance all through his trial. Firing his lawyers, cursing and insulting judges. Those are not showing of remorse or repentance. Even if today the president wants to pardon him. They'll go through his files and check if he has shown good behaviour in prison, if he's living like someone that's remorseful of what he has done. But MNK's case to me isn't ready for pardon or anything like it. There are chances he wouldn't have gone to prison with the way Ndi Igbo stood up for him. He asked that the judge handling his case be changed, they did it for him. Only for him to start throwing tantrums, insulting and cursing the new one. Telling a judge they don't know the law.

I think the next move for him will be to start showing remorse. He needs to understand that he can't do it alone and he doesn't even have loyal people around him. Everybody doing it for gains. He's a lone voice. And even his own fight is on the line of argument of whether or not it's genuine or whether or not it will bring result.

Ojukwu made the same mistake and whether or not anybody agrees Ojukwu didn't end it well or follow it up well enough. I saw a video of Ojukwu pleading with arrogance while he should be allowed back to Nigeria under the Nigerian military constitution. I mean the same military you fought with for 3 years, killing millions of people for a cause you dump and ran away.

Came back to start contesting elections.

Never for once apologized to his people instead, he was dishing out propaganda, how Nigeria is the problem and how people like Awolowo are the enemy. The healing of Igbo people for me will start from those kind of change. They'll start from those kind of steps to reorientate the people that are just growing up to know that Nigeria as a state is not the enemy and if there's any change the people need those kind of change through alignment, negotiation. Coming together to forge ahead. Not through threat, bullying and show of force or terrorism.

The North understand Nigeria and it's law almost the way the SW does. That's why a Boko Haram or bandit will first plead guilty and then even if it's fake they will show remorse. You'll argue it's because they are illiterates but it works for them. They know how to use the law to their favour. The SE needs to learn this as well, no one should claim they are trying to do right because everybody is doing right in their own way.
PoliticsRe: Oyo Kidnap: It’s A Time Of National Distress, Not Politics — Makinde by alanto: 3:29pm On Jun 02
National distress yes. But why is the FG still giving states governors security votes if they don't control any security apparatus? I mean las las, they'll still call on the president when insecurity arise. So why pay them extra to secure their states if they won't secure their states?
