fergie001: In 2015, PDP stated that the Presidency of 2019 will go to the North owing to the fact that it was a popular view & their last President (GEJ) hails from the South (as recommended by the Committee). Infact this decision was made 1st Oct 2015 and Atiku defected to the PDP on Nov 2017.
In 2022, PDP set up two committees:- headed by Ugwuanyi (Enugu Gov) and Ortom (Benue Gov), all Wike allies to decide on zoning of Party Offices and Presidential tickets respectively. First, Ugwuanyi zoned PDP Chairmanship to North Ortom's Committee threw open the Presidential Primary to all.
The question you will ask is simple:- Why did these committees headed and populated by Wike's allies refuse to put their foot on the ground and zone appropriately!? Probably they thought Atiku will respect himself or that Wike will defeat Atiku because both Ortom and Ugwuanyi started fighting Atiku immediately after the convention and it Tambuwa hadn't told his delegates to vote Atiku. Maybe. Just maybe. Wike would have won the primary but I get your point about committees risking things for Wike by declaring the primary open to all region. |

WizardOfNG: God bless you. Nigerians are a patently dishonest people. As an exposed and well-travelled person, I will never say Nigerians will make it into my own personal list of 100 people of the world who have integrity and are naturally sincere.
In fact, most Africans are more honest and sincere than Nigerians because even when they hate you, they won't deny the truth about you.
Nigerians lie and hate on themselves too much based on our individual prejudices, biases, bigoted outlook and hidden agendas.
When you see these clowns failing to give Tinubu credit for his transformation of Lagos, the entire world outside Nigeria commends him for , you realise Nigerians are very wicked, bitter and hateful. I hate to admit this but this Obidient Shi don show me true side of hypocrisy. |
Politics › Re: Tribalism Is The Major Problem Nigeria Is Facing As A Country by alanto: 2:14pm On May 02 |
WizardOfNG: Bro, give precise example. Stop dancing around mischievously. Show what "competent non tribe" person has done that makes him/her a messiah.
What exactly has Obi achieved, as a leader, for an ethnic group of more than 30 million to be declaring him a Messiah and rescuer of Nigeria today, whereas they cursed him vehemently for failing as Governor of Anambra in the past?
Is that not the definition of tribalism you are talking about!
Same people will accuse Tinubu of "no achievement" to tout Obi the messiah, when he is the personification of leadership failure, whereas the brightest minds, in the finest institutions in the world, are creating dissertations about the critical and pivotal achievements of PBAT while Governor of Lagos.
Would someone like you ever praise Tinubu as the truth, per leadership, as an objective non-Nigerians, Gabriel Kuris, does below? No. Never.
You will keep insisting your failed kinsman Obi is best. That, precisely, is the "tribalism" tragedy of Nigeria where we all claim others are the problems whereas each and every one of us is the problem.

Tinubu's has and is doing his best. There's no way you'll remove petrol and dollar and keep food and transport cheap.
You want to build roads, you want stable electricity and you want subsidy on dollars, petrol and electricity. Y'all should be calming down.
Not holding a cup for Tinubu but the man is trying. Nigeria is a poor country with too much population. We blocked some leakages, now are channeling our resources to the right things. We are upgrading ports, building highways and upgrading airports. What we need now that the system is transparent is investors but it's still you people spoiling the image of the country and it's president. mrvitalis: It makes no sense trying to be a God father to an Igbo man it's impossible even if he is your son
It's not in our blood Then don't ride on such person. Don't let them put you in any position. Tell them you don't need their support or influence right from the start. If someone put you in a position and you think you don't owe them feedbacks you are a betrayal point blank. Life is not hard at all. Did you see Ambode Endorse Hazmat? Cohesion goes a long way when you are dealing with other people, that's where you see peace. When people respect each other and keep their words peace is inevitable. If someone make you a governor remember you are not the only one in the team. He had other people before saying it has to be you. All of you are team members, there must be plans on who's next and who's next after you, but then you get there and decide you can't keep those agreements, doesn't make sense. I really don't know how to explain this things to you SE folks but backstabbing and betrayal shouldn't be a normal way of life and that's why you guys can collectively support Obi without shame.. someone you cursed all through his tenure and after his tenure as a governor. Obi swore that he'll never leave APGA but still went ahead to betray Ojukwu, betrayed PDP, betrayed LP and about to betray ADC. You must think before you act. |
