False alarm from a confused Obidient and Edoga sympathizer. When you worked and defended the PDP administration of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, you wrote loads of articles in support of the PDP led State government. You only realized how bad and intimidating the governor is when your appointment was terminated. We know your gimmick Ikem!! |

Romance / Tiktok, The Emerging Red Light District by alcmene: 5:20pm On Aug 09, 2023 |
By Odoh Ugochukwu Traversing, at night, the nooks of the popular, though notorious Otigba areas of Enugu while returning from a function few weeks ago, the sights and scenes from virtually all the adjourning streets were more of that of the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah. Cars of different makes were parked on both sides of the roads with their respective brake lights on. The atmosphere, the dimming car brake lights coupled with the faint lights(mostly red) emanating from the club houses lined up in the area gave the perfect description of a red light district as women of easy virtues loitered the areas. From one car to the other, ladies hopped in and out the parked vehicles as fun seekers ostensibly bargained the prices of the ladies services. As we drove, we came in contact with more weird and daring ladies. From the breasts down to the area I wouldn't want to mention, the night crawlers left nothing to be imagined as they virtually left every part to be accessible either by the eyes or hands. Sensing loss of concentration, I quickly tapped the driver to focus on the road before he lands everyone in a ditch. While I continue to rue the salacious scenes at Otigba, a more lewd and obscene video began to circulate online - a TIKTOK video of a woman, chubby and dark in complexion, with a bell in her hand and both legs wide open and exposing her netty pant that was the thin line which separated viewers and the darky walls that surrounded her meaty productive organ. The lady, like she was hawking second-hand clothes, rang bell intermittently as she advertised her vagina, describing it as a charitable tool to cure high blood pressure in men. While the video recording lasted, her two legs were wide open with her meaty 'centre of attraction' visibly protruding like that of a lactating goat. What else has social media particularly TIKTOK not made us see? The other day, a lady, a Facebook friend of mine posted a video of her herself almost half naked. She seductively tucked her giant belly into a thick swimsuit and her flappy breasts carefully packed into a king-size bra before starting a morning work out. While the morning workout lasted, she seductively flaunted every part of her body to the camera, including the fatty and bumpy thighs. These days, some young ladies have resorted to social media to display their bodily goods and services. Almost on daily basis, TIKTOK videos are made to entice men into hitting the DM probably for sex trade. While I do not rule out the fact that some users are latching on such videos for content creation, majority are turning the app into a Red Light District. |

Did the presidential election result in Enugu anything to write home about? The gruesome murder of Labour Party senatorial candidate who was a threat to Chimaroke. 1 Like |

Politics / Redeploy The ‘old’ Youths Commissioner Now. Group Urges Ugwuanyi by alcmene: 7:33am On Aug 17, 2020 |
Enugu state governor, His Excellency Rt Hon. Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been urged to as a matter of urgency, redeploy the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Manfred Nzekwe over what was described as non performance and obvious lost of touch with youths welfare and development in the state. The group, Coal City Youths Development Initiative lamented that the appointment of a man who is already in his late 50s as the state’s commissioner for Youths and Sports is a sharp contradiction of the governor’s resolve to absorb youths into key political position as evidenced in the emergence of youthful council chairmen in the recently held council election in the state. In a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu, the group’s Director-General, Hon Remigius Ozonwa decried the sluggishness and incompetence that have characterized the reign of the ‘old’ commissioner, stressing that his appointment has proven in it’s entirety, to be a square peg in a round hole. According to him: “Never like before, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu State has overtly demonstrated his committment to youth development, empowerment and inclusion in government through appointment of Youths into various Government positions. He also created enabling environment that allowed some youths in Enugu State to hold elective positions either as Chairmen or Deputy Chairmen. We acknowledge this and extend our appreciation and commendation to him. However, there is obvious and sharp contradiction of this his commitment to youth development, empowerment and inclusion by his appointment of an OLD MAN as COMMISSIONER for YOUTHS AND SPORTS. “An old man in every sense of it, the Hon. Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development in Enugu State is a big contradiction to Ugwuanyi’s Youth development agenda. He is lacking in ideas, lagging in implementation of the mandates of his office and the worst of all, he is not receptive to new ideas that will reposition the ministry to function effectively and optimally. Having an Old man as Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development is like having an English teacher as Commissioner for Health and one can easily imagine how best such a person can perform” he concluded. Appealing to Governor Ugwuanyi to heed to the group’s call for redeployment, the group’s Director of Programs, Hon Simon Ede maintained that unless a youth is made to handle the affairs of Youths in the state, that youths restivenes and other vices associated with Youths may soon be the order of the day in the state. He said: “By law and the objectives for the establishment of the ministry, the ministry is intended to discover, develop, harness and utilize the abundant talents and potentials of the youth in Enugu State for the overall development of the State. “We therefore appeal to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to graciously consider redeploying the current Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development to another ministry while he appoints a Youth to head the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development to help drive his administration’s youth development and empowerment agenda”. “We thank Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for being a listening and people friendly Governor, while looking forward that he will address this our genuine concern appropriately” he concluded. https://oceanicnews.com.ng/redeploy-the-old-youths-commissioner-now-group-urges-ugwuanyi/ |

A Federal Road Safety Commission officer Linda Ngwu has allegedly declined rendering help to an accident victim along Opi- Enugu road, on the excuse that her blood will stain their official patrol vehicle stationed along the road. According to the story shared by an eye witness, the officer alongside others, refused taking the already bleeding and dying accident victim to the hospital and when confronted by a good spirited Nigerian, said they have already contacted a tricycle operator to come and convey the victim to the hospital. According to the source: “I meet an accident scene today ( 20/07/2020 along Opi Nsukka road to Enugu,) only to find out that the accident happened like 40minutesearlier before we got there and there was a dying lady being left to die on the main road, I thought she was already dead judging from the way she was placed. I came down and to my surprise the lady was still breathing and moving slowly, asking one of the road safety officers that was there (#Ngwu #Linda by name) why they ain’t attending to her or any of the victims that seemed critical, her response was that they have called for a Keke charter for over 30minutes but the Keke is yet to come, meanwhile they the road safety officers arrived there on a clean vehicle well OK and equipped Provided by the state Government, I asked her why they ain’t using there own car and she said her blood will stain the car. It was later about another 30minutes after much plead that I got mad and brought out my phone and started making videos with some other Patriotic Nigerians who joined in with me on the fight, the head of the Road safety officers team on seeing the phone videos asked them to do the needful. The same #Ngwu #Linda refused touching her, saying that we should do the carrying, how can a fellow human being treat a dying woman in such manner, simply because she can’t help her self, she was just breading. The remaining four members of the road safety officers who are presents there was busy packing the luggage of the victims searching what their bags contains leaving the bleeding woman on the road carelessly. It was as a reactions of the passerby guys there that made the road safety officers to rush her to the hospital I really got mad in the Nigeria system, for one of the officers boldly telling me that they has rules guiding them, I asked which rule is that that u can’t help a dying one to rush her to the hospital as a road safety worker. I pray that she will survive it and give God his glory Oh lord do help her” https://oceanicnews.com.ng/blood-will-stain-our-vehicle-frsc-officer-declines-helping-accident-victim-in-nsukka/

An Igbo group, the South East Response Team (SORET) has protested the exclusion of the zone in the federal government of Nigeria’s loan plan, saying that it may be forced to take every necessary legal actions to ensure the loan is not accessed if the South East remained excluded from the zones to benefit the loan scheme. Recall that the federal government, few months ago, applied for loan in the tune of $22.7B for projects cut across all the geopolitical zones excluding the South East. Available details indicate that Southwest will get $200,000,000.00 while south-South, excluding Edo State, will get $4,270,000,000.00. North West will get $6,372,000,000.00, Northeast will get $300,000,000.00 while North Central will get $6,531,000,000 while $5,853,900,000.00 is reserved for general expenses. But in a press conference held in Enugu, the national coordinator of the group,Comrade Aku Obidimma pointed out that the South East has always been faced with marginalization, the height of it all being the exclusion of the zone in a loan bid designed to be enjoyed by all the geopolitical zones in the country. According to him: “One can clearly see today that there can be no other time to be compared to what we have today where the people of the South East have been almost excluded and sidelined in the leadership of the country vis a vis the appointments made by the president, economic and infrastructural development as is manifest in the reluctance of the government in setting up the proposed South East Development Commission and other related matter” On the group’s readiness to seek legal redress to press home their demands, he continued”we wish to once more reiterate our call on President Mohammed Buhari, the parliament and the international creditors to immediately put a hold to this transaction. Let to the project spread for this loan to be reviewed to significantly capture the South East zone. Unless this is done, SOREST will be bound to take every necessary legal step towards ensuring that the loan is not accessed” he concluded. 1 Like
