Was going through a copy of the constitution as I do from time to time, then came across this section (2), of article (132) in chapter (6).
In a nutshell, it states thus:"(2) An election to the said office shall be held on a date not earlier than sixty days and not later than thirty days before the expiration of the term of office of the last holder of that office."
So my question, did the election having held on 25th february, not come rather too early than stipulated, bearing in mind that the outgoing president would be vacating office officially by may 29th.

I so much admire this man and the likes of him in his own generation. This was among the few, through whose works I cultured reading habit which has been very helpful to me.But my generation annoys me sometimes, seeing that we are never ready to learn from their virtues but ever ready to point at their mistakes.The other day I saw a convoy of the winner of a reality TV show and the celebrations of him and felt like my countrypeople have gone mad again, for an event that may have affected less than a thousand positively.But here is aman who impacted on millions but no one talks about him.

When it come to killing, @ least 1 person per day, kidnapping, celebrating criminal as their hero, killing ( even if its counsellor election) robbers, money ritual, drug trafficking biz... go to .......

Don't be quick to ride on the wheels of tribal sentiments dear,as commendable as it is though, I wish to inform you that UNN did a similar scheme for her students during thier immediate past long vacation and paid them a good sum and no one blew trumpet about that.
