First Lady of Kogi Mrs Rashidat Bello today stepped out with Singer Jaywon to show love to widows and distribute food items to them for Christmas.

Former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has been released from prison.
His media aide Tony Elumenor said that he was released a few minutes past noon upon a court order.

Recall that Ibori was sentenced by a United Kingdom court to prison for 13 years and served out his term midnight yesterday.

It is however uncertain if he will return home to Nigeria anytime soon, as friends and associates in London deliberate over the former Governor.

The Federal Government has declared Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th December, 2016 as public holidays to mark the Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations, NTA reports.

Monday 2nd January, 2017 was also declared as public holiday to mark New Year celebration.
