Undercarriage could be a loose muffler or punctured oil pan, you never can tell unless you order a comprehensive inspection before buying. There are sometimes hidden gems in BIN, some sellers don't just have time setting up auctions, reserve, counter offers.....

Awka is built around an interstate highway (Enugu-Anambra), so I have clean stretch of road to blaze around every day.

A favorite past time of mine is racing cars on that stretch of road. ES350's, RX350's, W204 C300's, and even a W205 C300 on time. Fun.

Anyway, I saw an FX at my back, so I moved over to the other lane with the intention to race. For some reason, they usually take up the challenge. I moved over and the FX pulled up beside me. And pulled ahead a bit.

FX45. Not FX35

Abort mission. The FX has a 15 HP/60 ft-lb advantage. It is heavier, of course, and I'd beat it 10/10 over short distances. At the top end, though?? I think I'd lose quite comfortably.

My c class for the past 4 years I haven't even opened the engine ...the only thing I do is change oil and brakes

But Japanese it's tyrod today, bow joints tomorrow or jumping timing belt ( while Benz uses timing chain ) or leaking oil or stabilizer linkage or lower amp or engine sitting

Give worst us the blue smoke ! Japanese engines are not strong and their piston and rings weak ! Small time blue smoke

Handling is ambiguous...to be honest, I have driven a c class for 4 years and I haven't even opened the engine or changes the plugs apart from normal services the only thing I did to the engine was engine sitting and air flow that's all

I have driven both...I do a C200 Kompressor and I have a driven a friend's Camry. I would go with Benz any time in terms of fuel consumption and handling ..Camry is just a paper in wheels

My brother stay away from kompressor in my own humble opinion it is too complicated i will say it is not really good in our climes since u r not acting fast and de furious we kuku do not have good roads, and it is also prone to over heating my opinion on kompressor. However for the 4matic it is no big deal just a name to tell u it is a 4 wheel drive however the parts are damn expensive the shaft alone cost alot both new and toks we r talking in hundreds of thousand for brand new and a few tens of thousand if not a hundred thousand for the toks, we also have the arms to which are super expensive but if u get the financial muscle go for it it is a sweet ride but as a guy who owns c240 4matic 04 baba go for ordinary c240 or c320 with those u will never go wrong and most of it all always scan b4 they work on it as per no be Nissan Primera u dey drive the ride is all about Modules and Sams or simply call it a moving micro processor.

4matic is Mercedes' all-wheel drive. Drivetrain and suspension parts are very expensive. Buy a regular RWD C240.

If you're buying a higher mileage vehicle, go with the C240. It has a way more reliable engine than the C230. I'd aim for one under 150k miles, though.

The 2005 C240 has a reliable powertrain but is grossly underpowered. One of the most unimpressive V6's I've ever seen, and will honestly leave you disappointed. The ES330 has a 3.3L doing about 225 HP and 240lbs of torque. It's a more powerful car than the Benz.

The C240 is RWD while the ES is FWD. Handling of the C240 is much better than on the ES.

Maintenance and reliability is all for the ES. Part prices are about on par with Benz, but the ES will be way more reliable than the C.

Luxury is also for the ES. The interior is quite simply a better place to be in. Go have a sit in both cars, you'll understand. Interior build will also hold up much better than with the C Class–in my opinion all W203 interiors start to fall apart at high mileage and when they do, it's not pretty.

Mehn, buy the ES. It's a better car, pretty much.

Another cars you may want to look into is the ES350. I'm pretty sure you can get a 2007/2008 model with 3M these days if you search hard enough. Maybe a 2006 GS300? 2007/2008 Acura TL. 2007/2008 Infiniti G35. 2007 Mercedes E350. These are all better cars than the C240 and ES330.

Considering your criteria, I'd go for an ES350.

Feel free to ask any other questions about the C240 and ES330. I have extensive hands-on knowledge on one, and currently own the other.

Am feeling u bro u r hitting it right they almost made me look stupid as if mobil1 is all in all. I bought my c240 4matic since 2015 and have got no issues with it since. Some wey just buy Benz come dey feel like some yeye expert ijust dey laff reading some shit here only 2 ppl I dey feel here shortgun and auhanson not sure I got de spelling right so straight forward lol not like some closet experts. With my car serviced with XHP I dey go sokoto steady from osogbo with no issues, all they do is scare pp for no real reasons mtcheew
