This is one year after we introduced our Free Web Hosting package. Times are harder than they were last year, but you already knew that; didn’t you? Businesses and individuals are seeing the need to cut down on expenses. staff are being laid off, ICT expenses are being cut down, and overheads generally are being trimmed. More than ever before, it is getting more difficult to generate new business. The purchasing power of businesses and individuals is simply generally on the decline. Running a webhost, I know how easy it is for businesses especially to throw away years of investments in their websites, traffic rankings, and SEO simply because the times call for a little belt-tightening. When web hosting accounts do not get renewed, that is exactly what happens. Our free web hosting plan is still running. Just register your domain name and get the free 50mb plan to go with it. Get yours now. |

**To be Honest Used is Used . . I can't afford that device @ that price !@hayprof: That is mere sentiments. We have enough experience to know for certain that used is not used. As for affordability, in all probability you will find someone who has used his or hers in such a way that they feel its worth giving out at a price you can afford. We'll repeat: if everyone used their phones from Day One with greater care and consideration, they will be able to sell it off at better prices. You know - just like cars. A car that's one month old and already run 50, 000 km and been badly abused is not the same as the same model that's one month old, run only 1, 500 km and in ship-shape. Cheers! |
@bilqiss: Thanks. Just some tips here: That view is not necesarilly right or wrong. A lot depends on how the device has been used. In this case, it was a one-month device that had barely been used. As a matter of fact, if you were not told that it was used, you would be convinced that its brand new. If a device has been neatly used and is in top shape, you can get a good price for it on the market. Of course, in this case, the extras (4Gb card and Garmap licence) also helped. When you buy a new device, always have at the backof your mind that you may one day need to sell it off. As such, use it with utmost care. Another tip is to ensure that all accessories are also neatly used and well taken care of. all the best. |
@Godex4u: Why would we want to collect N45k for a phone we already sold two days ago for N60k? On: 27-07-2009, 19:31:03, Alireta said: |

Almost every webhost operating in Nigeria (and their are scores of them) accept payment in naira, either via bank deposit, cash, or Interswitch card. And in a few minutes after payment, your webhosting account will be ready for use. It is really quite simple and straightforward. Take a look at what Alireta has to offer. |

There seems to be a conspiracy to dismiss employment as a venture not worth taking in many quarters. Sadly, those who promote these ideas are those who should know better - motivational speakers. It seems that employment must be bashed at every opportunity in order to promote entrepreneurship. But is this the right approach? In this concise book, I make a case for employment, and the means of doing this will be to show that much of what is said about employment by motivational speakers are vain, untrue and not to be given serious attention. The myths have gone unchallenged for too long. In this free ebook, the writer pulls no punches, so you read it at your own risk. Download your copy: 9 Myths About Employment |
No sir, the 5800 doesn't come close to "killing" the iPhone. The 5800 touchscreen works well generally and the interface is some improvement on s60 3rd edition. But the interface has some illogicalities. One is that at times you have to tap once to open a menu item, and at other times its a double-tap. Why didn't nokia just copy UIQ's implementation of touch - tap to open a menu item; tap and hold to pop up an options menu? Very logical. Much more user-friendly. The 5800 is a good device. But an iPhone killer? Next?! |
Ex, you are correct about the Omnia HD being quite tempting in terms of multimedia features. Unfortunately, the original Omnia was plagued with a number of unforgivable issues, including: - bad audio during video recording - audio-video sync issues with recorded videos - bad implementation of the touchscreen (it just didn't always respond to taps) The thing about touchscreen phones is that if the touch aspect is badly implemented, the whole experience is ruined. The Omnia left a bad taste in our mouth. While excited about the stunning Omnia HD, we are a bit reluctant to embrace it till it is clear Samsung has sorted out the issues that plagued its older sibling. As for the N97, its holding very little against the current crop of Nokia devices in its range. A member of our team who owns an E90, for example, says there's very little to entice him to get an N97. And yes, Symbian OS in its current form is due for overhauling! And that opinion is from a team of mobile geeks who have a long history with Symbian devices. |
While the original question was asked years ago, hopefully someone will still find this useful. Go to your LG's menu, and select "Connectivity" (I'm assuming here that LG uses a uniform menu across several phones). Select "USB Connection" Select "Mass Storage" Now simply connect your LG to your PC via a USB cable, and both your phone memory and memory card will be recognized by your PC as removable drives. Browse through to copy, cut and paste your files. |
3. Link up with virtual users (many fakes and useless people)Most people on Facebook I see fit these two categories. As already said, its one huge waste of time and resources. Not sure how people get a kick out of these. Having said that, Facebook and other SN sites can be put to productive use. Its just that it seems that the average person is clueless. |
While Nigeria is not represented on Nokia maps yet, Google Maps now has Nigeria integrated. The map is not quite comprehensive (I doubt if anyone really has a comprehensive map of Nigeria yet), but at least it is something useful. Some of us have been able to locate our environment and others on Google Maps. |
