What is UNIUYO Cut Off Point?

This question has been on the lips of every
Uniuyo aspirants. I am so sorry for not making
this clearer to you before now. UNIUYO DON’T
ADMIT STUDENTS THROUGH CUTOFF POINTS.
What I mean is that admission in University of
Uyo does not depend on a stipulated score as
it is done in many other universities,
polytechnics or colleges of education.

This is how Uniuvesity of Uyo admits its
students: I will use department of
Medicine and surgery as an example to
explain this, once and for all

Every department in the University of Uyo has
a stipulated number of students that is needed
for enrolment. For instance Medicine and
Surgery department cannot admit more than
50 candidates. The stipulated number
corresponds to the available facilities in the
departmental level to carter for the students
when they are admitted. This, though varied,
also applies to every other department in the
institution.

So, Who will make the 50 Merit List?

This is simple! The first 50 Candidates, who
score high in after finding average between
JAMB-UTME and Post UTME will make the list.
Ok? This also applies to every other
department.

How will you know whether you have
chance to be admitted?

I wouldn’t have a very clear answer to this
question, as the university don’t usually admit
students through cut off points. But if you
scored very high in both your JAMB-UTME and
Post UTM Examination, there is every tendency
that you will make the list without any qualms.

Well spoken. Admission is the bottom line but what i'm trying to say is that one will not always have liquid cash for food throughout ones stay in school.

I am not in the system yet but like and do try to see things from afar. Wether we like it or not there'll certainly be some rare moments that, that thing called POCKET FRIEND will shun you badly both in private and in public what then will you do when your stomarc is crying bitterly?
Another issue is that not everyone likes eating outside, the school really has to look into the laws again.

REUBEN010: Cookn is nt allowed in all uniuyo hostels. If u plan stayn in hostel, i'm sorry u'll hav to make-do with mamaput. Besides, the foods are manageable.

So this means that every student in hostel always have money to go to mamaput whenever they are hungry! hmmm this na big men pikin school ooh, some students don suffer!

It's obvious that we are not done with food cooking issue in hostel. Is it that we'll be buying food through out our stay in uniuyo? For those that wish to stay in hostels.

Not that it is not possible if you are related to the VC.
It will be even easy for a cow to pass through an eye of a niddle than for an ordinary student to succeed in such mission except you are strongly related to the powerful Cabals (Ogas @ the top) in any University in 9ja. Such may happen in other department, no School in 9ja plays such game with Medicine.
A friend of mine chose Accounting in UNIUYO but was given Insurance, he accepted it but in his 200 level, he wrote JAMB again for Economics. I asked him why he did not just change from Insurance to Economics, he said such mission is not an easy thing in UNIUYO moreover, that it is a waste of time, energy and money.

From the look of things i'm QUITE sure UNIUYO will publish cut-offs for different departments, because of the time CONSTRAIN.....I REALLY hope i'm PROVED wrong.

To release cut off mark for public consumtion is not a practice in UNIUYO.
UNIUYO don't do such, you can only get the cut off by moving from one deprt to another asking for the damn stuff.
