Oga, answer simple question: what is the meaning of the word "decorated" in football terms?
as in ehn!!!!
The guy matter tire me...simple English...
But oversabi dey worry am..
And he keeps arguing about the number of goals...
If the topic was about individual performance, then his argument would have made sense, but all this his rants doesn't just hold water ..

Why don't you just calm down and understand what everyone is trying to tell you...nobody said he's the best Asian player, but you keep posting stuffs you picked from Google..you think we also don't have Google to check who's the best Asian player??..all the OP said was most decorated Asian player... weda he was lucky to be in the best team at his time or not,he's the most decorated simple English ..haba
Why do you think some players get substituted for others in the last minute of maybe a champions league final or world cup after a comfortable win?
It's for that player coming in to get decorated also ..he might not even get to touch the ball sef,but his name has been written down as a champions league winner ..common sense
shogsman:
For this obviously confused ones among you,let me reiterate, park was just an average Joe that got lucky to feature in a good team,so decorated in this context just means luck, doesn't make him what he's not, the best player in asian history are as follows
1-cha bum kum
2-paulinho alcantara
3-son
4-ali dae
5-nakata- a 3time balloon d'or nominee, park only got one nomination.

The rest is history
As for premier league officially son is ahead of him because of the obvious

GeorgeChidi:
Alright. Enough.

I'm George Chidi. I'm an investigative journalist of Nigerian descent, living in Georgia. I write for The Intercept and appear on local television in Atlanta. I am familiar with Douglas County, criminal justice issues in Georgia and the mechanisms of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.

Google me. I'm easy to find.

A friend contacted me to take a look at this. The claims of Adedoja Bah do not stand up to cursory examination. He was convicted not as a matter of mistaken identity, but because DNA found at the scene matched his own. He's arguing that the tests were flawed, but a court ruled that they were not: the testing mechanism is the gold standard and the very best available. Here's the ruling: https://www.cybgen.com/information/admissibility/Bah2019.pdf

I would be the first person to advocate for someone convicted out of racial bias in Georgia. It exists. But that's not what happened here, and certainly not in Douglas County, which is not the rural banjo-playing south. It's a relatively affluent suburb of Atlanta that voted 2-to-1 for Joe Biden last year. There are parts of Georgia where justice for a Black person can be immediately questioned. Douglas County isn't one of them. It's the Nigerian equivalent of Ota or Lekki when talking about Lagos. He's trying to make it sound like he was arrested in Maiduguri.

The Georgia prison system is, indeed, terrible. It is unsanitary and dangerous -- and extremely so for people who commit crimes against children. His life is legitimately at risk. And so, I can imagine why he would look for some way to get out of prison.

But he did it. He's guilty of the crime. His protests are self-serving lies by a man with nothing but his life left to lose.

Wow....

I understand your sentiment, but a very good and targeted publicity will go a long way in helping this case. The publicity must include journalists that can pick the case and sift through the evidence and facts of the matter and see reasons why the OP might be innocent.

That's true though..

I just pray that justice will prevail

If a whole jury and judge couldn't be convinced that Mr Bah didn't commit the crime, then how do you wanna convince the world that he didn't commit the crime?..
So his attorney should just help him gather concrete evidence...
Justice must prevail

To be honest,I think a public campaign will do more damage than good... although I'm no expert, but I just think a campaign wouldn't do much good...
My reasons for saying that is because the fact that few people here on nairaland got to understand the situation on ground with Mr Bah doesn't mean the whole world will understand also... see how difficult it was for him to stand against madam JD who kept on using her portfolio to damage him...if not for the fact that I personally had to calm down and carefully sift through all the defense that Mr Bah was putting up,I already believed her the moment she said he was a liar,I mean she's the JD here, and he's the prisoner right...
The best thing to do here is for Mr Bah to get a VERY good attorney, that will believe in his course, and help him with all the evidence gathering that Mr Bah has been doing on his own from prison..I strongly believe that the doctor Mr Bah claimed to talk to on the phone as at the time of the crime, and also the phone log evidence (if gotten from the network provider, plus other parameters just as JD suggested)can actually go a long way in helping Mr Bah out of this mess...

I have been reading all the thread about this case,it just seem like am watching a Netflix series.

In as much American justice system is not perfect, can they just jail someone for a crime he never committed just like that?

Flew from Japan as a visitor to buy 6 SUVs.How were you able to bring in huge cash?Or did you have contacts in the US that gave you the money?
I read a comment from an anonymous on LIB that the Op was involve in a drug gang ish/yahoo yahoo. So they try to pin this case on him or whatever. The person said he knew him in Houston.

For this case to get a solution, the open need to come clean properly.
From all his dealings in Japan to the people he knows in USA.
All these DNA,surveillance camera, tower triangulation etc won’t solve this case.
I believe there is more and more to this case.

Lolsss...
I think if there was ever any issue as to his ability to buy six SUVs,we would have heard it in the court or from the police, and not from somebody on LIB...tracing his source of wealth and a gang related issue would have been a more easier case to pin on him than this rape case with an inconclusive DNA report...
The police would never hesitate to report his illegal dealings...
The problem I'm seeing here is that this man has stepped on some people's ego...
This can be seen from his attitude towards the police that first took him in for questioning,to the judge that decided to slam him with 3 sentence (one for his stay on earth, the second for if makes it to heaven, and the third for hell)..so anywhere he turns to,sentence dey wait for am

I heard there are lawyers that can wriggle people out of very difficult situations even murder cases weda guilty or not..
I watched a video of a man who was testifying against someone that slapped him...
The defendants lawyer said his client didn't slap the accuser,he defined slap from the oxford dictionary as to hit or strike with the palm of the hand or a flat object, but that the part of the body that hit the accuser was the back of his palm, and that the back of the palm isn't a flat object...he further more explained that as a matter of fact,it was the head of the accuser that came with a force and trajectory against the hand of his client, thereby causing acute pain to his client

Now I understand what it means to have a "good lawyer"...

How I wish the American justice system can just look into the phone call evidence brought by Mr Bah...
At this time and age of technology,It's not surprising how the FBI can provide the justice system with evidences ranging from call logs, exact gps location etc that will act as "beyond a reasonable doubt"but unfortunately,in the case of Mr Bah,we are hearing some kind of carefully crafted technical stories

Initially,I was very pleased with the way firstgen was tackling Mr Bah,and again I was happy that the convicted fellow didn't chicken out,but was even able to provide more "evidences"(please take a light note of the use of the word evidence here because some of our learned people here already said these evidences like phone logs brought by Mr Bah aren't admissible, but trust me,for someone who is fighting for his life, anything no matter how stupid it might look is an evidence)
But its so surprising that even after she calling Mr Bah all sort of names like a liar/deceiver and that he has just been playing on the intelligence of everyone on this thread, all I was waiting to see from my highly revered JD was the headslamming evidence that will finally send Mr Bah back to the hole where he belongs, but unfortunately, the one who was tagged a liar/deceiver of man,is the one who is soliciting the services of his accuser, with names and phone numbers of all people/organisation/laboratory including GBI, Douglas County Sheriff office and DA office for verification...
What a plot twist!!!!!.....

BTW,I really feel for the young girl that was raped...if Mr Bah is truly guilty, then he must enjoy the consequences of his actions, but if he isn't guilty, then justice must prevail

I made mention of irrational decisions for a reason...
More than 50% of people following this thread silently will agree with me that Mr Bah might actually be an innocent man,but his attitude, and way of handling things looks kinda bad for the issue on ground...
And I totally understand his plight
I mean from the look of things,Mr Bah's issue looks like a script straight out of a Hollywood movie!!!!... someone trying to fight for his life against a system of government that is all out and hell bent on destroying him..
As to your question about why he's fighting for the "JD" favor, take a look at these statements critically
1* Since 1stGenAmerican lives in Georgia
2* investigate the veracity of my evidences.
3* I will provide the names and phone numbers of all people/organisation/laboratory including GBI, Douglas County Sheriff office and DA office included

Take it easy sir
You only have the right to call him dumb if you've been in prison for more than 3 years for a crime you believe you never committed..
This is someone with 3 life sentences, fighting for his life, and trust me, anybody(apart from people like you that can never make an irrational decision) in his position will do any and everything to try and get justice

Business / What UBA And Others Could Have Done With Their #15 Billion Donation To FG by Allexey(f): 5:05pm On Apr 17, 2020
Firstly, this is just my opinion, and I'm not in any way trying to dictate what people should do with their money..
It is no news that a lot of organisations and individuals have stood up to help nigeria in these trying times by donating cash to the government..
As at 2nd april, the CBN said it has received a total of N15,325 billion
Now,donating money is one thing, how this money is going to get spent in a country like nigeria is another thing
Do you remember when we were very young, then an uncle comes visiting and while leaving,he gives your father #20 to "buy biscuits for the children"?
Well,I'm sure you know that you ain't gat no biscuit. tongue
Now compare that to when the uncle actually decides to buy the biscuits and share for the children himself grin grin
This is what 15 billion can do for 2 million Nigerians
4 CONGO OF RICE @ #800/ = #3,200
3 CONGO OF BEANS @ #400/ = #1,200
4 CONGO OF GARRI @ #250/ = #1,000
10 SACHET TOMATOES @#50 = # 500
2 BOTTLES OF G/OIL @450 =#900
2 BOTTLES OF RED OIL @300 =#600
SACHET OF MAGGI @100 =#100
TOTAL =#7,500
Now contrary to popular belief, distributing these items is not rocket science
An account could easily be set up,and a committee to overlook the distribution of the items can be put in place
The various banks in itself can be used as distribution centers,
and we wont need to worry about overcrowding since the BVN will be used, and each person will just have to wait for an invitation
The list of food items up there might look soo small, but sincerely speaking, it can't be compared to the fact that the money might as well be mismanaged or looted by a selected few
Now if N15 billion could feed 2 million Nigerians like this, imagine what
(1)$723 million (N265,341 billion) returned abacha loot which was mostly unaccounted for in 2006,could do
(2)$400 billion (N147 trillion) looted by politicians from independence to 2012
(3)N1.3 trillion looted by politicians under Jonathan
(4)the amount currently been looted under buhari
