Very soon most of these small private schools will be without teachers. I mean sound teachers. Private sch owners are killing Education standard but we put the entire blame on the government .

If I wasn't cultured and disciplined, I wouldn't be here. I lost my dad while I was in primary five. As the first son I was able to help myself through sch and also fend for my siblings. Life humbled me. These children will not live with their parents forever.

that's why we have generation of weaklings spare the rod and spoil the child. A child does a wrong thing and we should leave the child to rot. I think schools should be closed down and parents should teach their children themselves. I am tired discussing the progress of education with people who are hellbent on western culture and discipline on how to raise a child. That is why we have children abroad who know dictate to parents that they want their gender reassigned at tender ages. You are not a teacher so you would know how naive and uncultured these gen alphas are. Some lack common basic home training and you expect the to be tolerated everywhere. The solution is clear. Parents should home school their chikdren. We will always survive regardless if one road is broken there is always another way out.

I feel for the next generation my Dear. It's really saddening. If that was how we were raised, we wouldn't be here teaching them. We are able to teach today because we were disciplined.
No matter how intelligent anyone is, if they lack discipline, they don't have a future. It is as Simple as that. No teacher would hate a student. What for? We are all trying to secure the future of these children and nothing more. Our joy is not in the peanut we received, rather it is in the success of these children. I am tired of explaining this to some of these nairalanders

A time is coming soon when Parents will end up leaving their jobs to stay back at home to teach their own children by themselves because there would be noone to teach your kids.

I am completely against teachers ASSAULTING their students altogether.

A teacher can penalize a student— send him out of the class, fine him or something— but never punish the student. Punishments should all be handled according to school Policy as signed off and agreed upon by the parents instead.

Let me tell u this, if u dare send a student out of class, you're in trouble. No matter what.

Sheybi they don't owe salary, you even used the word NEVER, do your job collect your salary and close your eye to whatever nonsense they are doing.

If the child copies and they say you shouldnot deduct marks don't deduct.

If they say no discipline leave them, but if a student disrespects you can step him/ her out of the class.

Till you can get another better place that doesn't owe salaries.


You monitor jss3 students to eat their meals, children that are above 10years? It only remains for you to feed them niyen. When children as young as 5 are being trained to eat and clean up after?

What private schools are breeding these days is very very dangerous,all because they don't want to lose customers,for supervisors from the state govt to say you guys are over pampering them, then it's way above board.

When they get into the work force the problem becomes more glaring.

We are in a very terrible situation here my brother. It's actually a disservice to these children when u consider the damage in the long run

My dear find another school I'm also a teacher as well, the proprietor is just like my former boss, school are now businesses not a foundation for learning and discipline.

I don't have Time for rubbish,a student will score 1 you will be asked to put 6/7 very useless. Some parents would just be pushing their wards who aren't even supposed to be in secondary school to secondary school.

Another thing is that respect issue, me I don't send at all infact if she overdo it tell her to her face you're not doing anything. Try it for once don't answer her if she's talking just ignore her, if she asks you why tell her you're busy with important things.

After she orders the student, ask the same student out of the class to do the needful. Since she doesn't want to have sense, because of her quest to satisfy their parents, in order to collect school fees She has lost her value.

The experience I had teaching primary five spoilt brats whose parents are rich, I vowed never to teach in a school again. Imagine kids of 10 years threatening their teachers with police arrest? The proprietress of the school pampers the kids and see no fault in them.

.I think the OP like complaining too much, as an experienced teacher according to your narratives, you should advise the Proprieties to design a standard rules and regulations guiding the running of the school so una wey be employees go dey follow am, failure which attracts sanctions.

Absenteeism
Exam malpractices
Theft
Indecent dressing
Rude behavior

This will guide your actions towards the offender and not acting on conjecture
