Well, I've said it before. All these are not what a girl really needs, a serious girl. All what your guy was doing. Not that it shouldn't be done, but only to a moderate extent. The Koko is the meeting of the family, all those serious moves that lead to marriage. All those other niceties just bound you guys to each other without any true gain at the end of the day.

The other guy was making serious moves. He was probably doing less spending and more moves. The girl should have been honest about what she wanted, not eating from two places. And your guy should have minimized time wasting and focused all that money on the serious moves towards marriage. Or opt out after two years of you don't see money to marry, women really want to marry than to be doing bf and gf up and down.

Sorry to your friend, hope he heals. However, I just hope he doesn't pick someone who had nothing to do with it and start punishing her for what he's been through. He should go for therapy and get emotional healing before entering another relationship.
