The footballer is setting up 525 Rosario, a Miami and Los Angeles-based banner that plans to tackle film, TV and branded commercial content.

One of the world’s most recognizable sports stars is joining the fray to launch his own production company.

Lionel Messi, the footballer who jumped to the MLS Beckham-style in a late-career move to play for Inter Miami, has set up a film and TV banner titled 525 Rosario, a reference to his hometown address in Argentina. It’ll set up shop in Miami as well as Los Angeles.

The shingle was formed as a joint venture between the Messi family and Smuggler Entertainment, the production company behind the Apple TV+ series Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend and Messi Meets America. 525 Rosario will get a CEO in Tim Pastore, who also runs Smuggler, produced Messi’s World Cup, and holds producing credits on titles like Free Solo and Jane Goodall doc Jane.

The plan is for 525 Rosario to tackle editorial content, presumably more unscripted docs, as well as family-friendly fare and commercial branded storytelling in partnership with advertisers. The new joint venture will be repped by WME

Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested Monday night in New York City by federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations, multiple sources told ABC News.

A federal grand jury in Manhattan returned an indictment against Combs, which set in motion his arrest, sources told ABC News

The charges remain sealed.

Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, addressed the news in a statement, calling it "an unjust prosecution."

"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community," the statement read.

"He is an imperfect person, but he Is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."

Combs has been under investigation for the better part of a year since his longtime former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, came forward with allegations in a civil lawsuit. At least 10 additional lawsuits followed. Combs has denied the allegations in all of them

Back in March, Combs' Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided by federal agents, authorities previously said.

A Homeland Security Investigations spokesperson said in a statement at the time that the raid was executed as part of an "ongoing investigation."

Law enforcement sources told ABC News, also in late March, that federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations seized a number of electronic devices as part of the court-authorized searches of Combs' two properties.

The searches, carried out in Los Angeles and Miami, were part of a federal sex trafficking investigation into the hip-hop and liquor mogul, the sources said.

HSI agents flooded Combs' mansions and gathered evidence as part of an investigation led by prosecutors with the Southern District of New York.

Several women have filed civil lawsuits against Combs accusing him of rape, sex trafficking and other alleged abuses. He has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

The 58-year-old man accused of pointing an AK-47 at former President Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon has a prolific arrest record that spans several decades

Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested shortly after the incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. Authorities said Secret Service agents fired at him after seeing the muzzle of his AK-47 pointing through a chain-link fence one hole ahead of where Trump was playing.

Authorities are treating the episode as an apparent assassination attempt on Trump.

A background check on the name given by officials, Ryan Wesley Routh, revealed that he currently lives in Hawaii and has faced dozens of run-ins with police, stretching back to at least the 1990s.

Routh is a native of North Carolina, where his list of arrests includes simple drug possession, driving without a license, expired inspection and operating a vehicle with no insurance. In addition, the Greensboro News & Record reported in 2002 that Routh was arrested after barricading himself in his roofing company's office during a three-hour standoff that followed a traffic stop in which he put his hand on a gun before fleeing.

Routh moved to Hawaii in 2017, records show. He has since launched another construction company in Hawaii that builds simple housing structures for homeless people, according to a LinkedIn page that appears to belong to Routh.

"This does not appear to be some random guy with an AK-47 walking outside Trump's club," an official said after the Sunday afternoon incident

News of the incident broke shortly after Trump was safely escorted off of the golf course.

A Secret Service member spotted the would-be gunman while Trump was playing on the course's fifth hole. Officials say he abandoned an AK-47, a go-pro camera and two backpacks along a chain-link fence that borders the sixth hole of the course.

Routh fled in an SUV after a member of the Secret Service fired on him, but was soon arrested, according to authorities.

Trump's campaign quickly issued a statement that the 45th president was safe, with Trump following up in a message to supporters that he will "never surrender."

Fox News' Lucas Tomlinson confirmed that the Secret Service opened fire after they saw a man lift an AK-47. The suspect fled in a car, but was quickly apprehended, authorities said.

"There were gunshots in my vicinity but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!" he wrote in a message that was shared on social media.
