Romance › Re: Whats So Wrong With Dating A Neighbour! by almoner(m): 7:16am On Dec 30, 2010
gzib:
It is not bad if both of you are matured enough to handle it.
I tried it before and at the end we broke up cos we are not matured enough to handle all the things we see and hear all the time.
A popular saying goes thus " Too much familiarity brings contempt". and that is what u will get when u date a neighbour.
when she wakes up and she comes out with just a sleeveless without bra under and there are people in the area, u might feel good or bad or u may be thinking she had something in mind.
Maturity is what it takes to go into it. it is never easy. it might be okay at the beginning but u people will start falling out when u get so familiar.

And hear this, anytime she hurts u and u see her maybe hugging "Just a friend in the area, i tell u, u will die over and over again, especially when u trully love her.
Certainly!
Romance › Can You Marry From Another Tribe? by almoner(op): 10:01am On Dec 24, 2010
I was reading in one of the classrooms in my college and suddenly a discussion ensure.

A young Nigerian lady was asking if any of us can marry from another tribe.

After much arguments, we couldn't arrive at a definite answer to that.

So, tell me your opinion about inter-tribal marriage and consequences if any.

Politics › Re: I Want To Thank GEJ For Bringing Facebook To Nigeria' by almoner(m): 9:22am On Dec 24, 2010
Ayowumie:
The Minister did not mean that GEJ brought facebook to Nigeria in the sense being among the first persons to use fb in this country. What the minister however meant is that GEJ introduced many Nigerian politicians and public office seekers to the social networking site as a plot through which they can have access to a bulk of the youth population.

I dont blame people that mis-interpreted the minister's statement, the guy is as incoherent as GEJ, remember wat happens any time GEJ gives a major speech, people will always come to explain what he means. They are never able to coherently express their thoughts.
People should learn how to listen well before they criticise their fellow individuals.
Long live the Federal Government of Nigeria!

doyin13:
I find it hard to believe this story. . .Maybe the Brazillians are trying to ingratiate themselves with us for some other reason. Or else why this weird arrangement.

Their film industry is hardly struggling and they have had many successful exports, film and personnel. Most recently Fernando Mireilles who directed ''The Constant Garderner''. In fact they have been exporting talent as far back as Carmen Miranda in the 1930's.

I suspect the journo misunderstood what was said. Its quite Nollywood actually. cheesy cheesy
Nollywood is 3rd in the world so, there is every reason for Brasil to seek help from Nigeria

Education › Re: Fg Names Location Of Six New Varsities by almoner(m): 5:47pm On Nov 29, 2010
osholey:
It is not quantity but quality that is the problem with the university system.

FG should try and fund existing universities and not establishing new ones. the govt should concentrate on making the environment right for private sector to invest in building universities.

Nigeria is losing billions of naira as capital flight to the UK as many of her citizen go there to get the quality education not available here, even Malaysia and other Asian economies are benefiting from the influx of Nigerian students.

This move by GEJ is purely political not strategic, atleast his home state now has a university but he would have emulated his PDP challenger Atiku and build a private university in yenogoa.

cheap politics that's all it is
That is it!
