Career / Re: Pls Advise: Architecture Or Civil Engineering by alomo85: 1:40pm On Sep 08, 2015
As a graduate of Architecture and Building. If I am to advise u, I will say go for civil engineering instead. Civil engineering is broader and not as streamline as architecture. As a civil engineer u are trained to be a structural engineer, steel design engineer, environmental and soil engineer, construction engineer. , you get to use lot of softwares like the architect as well e.g. auto cad, archi cad. If u go to a very good school and finish with a first class, your chances of entering an oil firm is high with civil engineering. To me Architecture is a good course but Civil engineering is better. ......from a guy that has first class info about the 2 courses.
Maccoy1:
Am really confuse, all my life have never considered any other profession other than anything engineering because I love developing things from the scratch I.e I like to construct things like cars, planes, houses with waste materials, But with recent development, I discovered that I have a calling in architecture. but then I also discover that architects only design and go home but civil engineers are involved in every bit of the construction, and that is what I love doing; getting involved in every bit of the job.

Finally with the income aspect of it in nigeria which is more likely to end more or has more job opportunities.

Politics / Re: Horror At Enugu Airport.- Traders Are Arrested For Having More Than $4,000.00 by alomo85: 1:48am On Sep 08, 2015
Op u can lie o grin
arm4u:
An eye witness claims traders traveling to Dubai were arrested and detained for having more than $4,000 cash.
They claimed it is an order from above.

Many may deny or discard this, but it is a matter of time, the truth will surely prevail.

My question is this, what kind of economy are we running now?
Is it Communism or Terrorism?

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Hooking Up Working Singles (workingsingles@gmail.com) by alomo85: 7:24pm On Sep 06, 2015
Hi All,
I was chatting with a female colleague recently and she was telling me how she and her friends have tried to no avail in getting a man of their dreams. She told me some ridiculous things ladies do in order for them to see a guy to even Say HI to them. Funnily enough I have some other guys who are also my friends looking for a serious relationship, it is as if there are no serious ladies out there.

So I have decided to create a whatsapp forum where serious minded singles can hook up, as in very serious minded singles. For you to be eligible to join the forum, the criteria are as follows
MALE: you must be 26 and above, You must be gainful employed.
FEMALE; You must be at least 24. You must be at least be done with University (NYSC/being gainful employed (gives you an advantage)).

For you to join the group, please send your phone number, Your facebook and LinkedIn profile to workingsingles@gmail.com

Please this forum is for very serious minded folks. THIS IS NOT A FORUM FOR SUGAR DADDY OR SUGAR MUMMY NEITHER IS IT FOR RUNZ GIRLS.

Please if you are interested please send your phone number to the email address. The facebook and linkedin profile (if you have one) is necessary for admission into the forum.

It includes addresses of private libraries too.

I don't think this thread has addressed my question. I can only see list of public libraries in the thread. I want list of Private libraries instead.

Dear Nairalander,

I want to know if we are private libraries in Lagos. If yes, I will like to know their names and their addresses.
Romance / #beingfemaleinnigeria# by alomo85: 8:55pm On Jul 01, 2015
This is a counter thread of the thread #beingfemaleinnigeria#. Nigerian ladies likes whinning, nagging and always playing the victim. Today they went all over twitter lamenting the vices of the society against Nigerian women. We guys need to remind them of their own vices against the society particularly against men.... Let the game begin.

#beingfemaleinnigeria# Take a Nigerian lady out for lunch, you will end up buying her breakfast, lunch and dinner all in one meal. Nigerian babes eat like they will never eat again when they are being taken out by a guy.
#beingfemaleinnigeria# Only Nigerian babes feel it is fashionable for brokeass girls to date a dangote but a crime for a struggling guy to even ask out a Nigerian girl.

Please add more folks. Let us make this girls know how we feel about them, rather than allowing them to feel fly and funky on twitter and nairaland.
