What does your friend’s birth certificate have to do with your own circumstance so I can know how to answer the first part of your query..
Also what actual pictures did you submit?
If they doubt the child is yours due to late registration and you feel you also added supporting documents to evidence that, you either raise a complaint that your evidence was not looked at OR you go have a think of taking your child to another country for visit. There are so many others OR do a DNA from an accredited UKVI centre ..

From wat I understand,, I think he registered his child's birth 2 years later after birth

Portugal finished me last year.
I got to vfs with my documents for biometric but only to be rejected because my docs are not legalized. The agent i used did not know anything about police certificate legalization at abiuja.

That was how i lost out from that appointment ooo, the booking is only opened twice in a year for just few mins lol.

Since then, i vowed never to use an agent

Mres visa applicants currently are not finding it easy... We don't even know d new law UK will introduce in 2026.... I will suggest you look for normal Msc options

It is very easy to avoid interview or questioning round your study gap.

1. Provide a study gap explanation document (Share correct timelines and experience you got in each role. It should be relevant to your PG course).
2. Provide a Study Plan (What inspired you to select the course, the university, mention how 3 to 4 of the course modules applies to you, state your short and long career plan (This shows your home ties back to Nigeria).
Attach 1 or 2 recent reference letters.

The problem is people are using agents and they are not personalizing the application because they have so many clients.

I think use of Agents is where d real problem comes from.... Agents don't know d peculiarity of ur situation.... Agents were very good during d time of getting carer jobs directly.... Using Agents for study program is quite risky bkos it brings about laxity to d applicants.... There are specific directs inputs applicants can do in d process that sticks,,if any question arises,,they can defend

I know one guy that was given d exact same reason for refusal... One needs to do thorough research on the course u are going for to pass interview.... Study visa has now become 50/50... It is well

This is why is good to apply few months in adV. Spending all this money in 9ja when person can jejely apply for Standard applications and even get outcome less than 15 working days.

D guy has 3 visa rejections,,d last one was September 2025.... There's so much desperation all over his application... I would better suggests to wait till May or September 2026... Any priority visa now will be seen as desperation

HELP PLEASE,
I did biometrics earlier this month and got a mail for additional documents proving source of funds on the 13th working day. I responded the 3rd day, and I haven't gotten any reply. I was told it's only 2 working days to get a response after additional documents submition.

Please if you have been through this before or know someone who had similar experience, please tell me what to do. The wait is tormenting and difficult.

D easiest u can do is prepare a family property document and tell Dem u or ur father sold it to gather funds... U will need to produce a Deed of transfer document for the property...

So in summary,,, everyone studying in UK must depend on some sort of loan somewhere or sale of family property...Even children with Nigerian parents in UK don't have £20K kept somewhere without loan... They should just let us rest and not disturb us too much with d financial bulabas 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Someone that got his first degree 2 years ago is very well unlikely to raise 50-60mil to study in UK unless he's been sponsorsed by parents... All of that complicates d visa process for such a person

Even person wey they born here and just graduated from University no fit get £25000 savings within 2yrs..
I guess they may be asking now as some students after arriving find it difficult to pay tuition fees as at when due

I feel these are just random requests

But another reason they could ask for source of funds could be short year gap,,like someone graduated BSc 2 years ago,,now going for Master in UK,,they will not hesitate to ask for source of funds... There must be a reason why,,its not just random

This is the point I find confusing here...
Some people just come here and drop problems without stating clear details... How would they be asking for source of funds,, when many others have gotten Visas without going through that... If we check well now it could be millions were later paid in during the 28 days count or d printed date used was b4 d lump sum was deposited..Or it could even be dat d funds are outrageously higher than normal... Some of these could be d reason but they will not state it for clarity

Anyways there's hope....

Wat was actually d reason for NSF,, more documents or source of funds??

At my sch,, d few Nigerians in my group that I know of,,only 4 have gotten Visas out of almost 15...
