The issue of choosing a life partner in our present society has come to be a huge task and assignment, especially to the bachelors. Taking a close look at the escalating rate of marital issues and failed marriages in our world worsens the issue, as it  even creates this reoccurring fear towards choosing a life partner in the minds of young men. 
Today, let us look at the Holy book of Genesis, where this journey and issue of marriage all began. 

Adam, who happened to be the first man, had a primary, basic and fundamental assignment cum task that God gave him after creation, which was to name all the creatures ( Gen 2:19-20a). Believe with me that this task was such a herculean one, that never gave Adam the time to waste or engage into other irrelevant affairs. The bible said that he (Adam) named each creature that was brought his way by God. This singular act of Adam portrayed SERIOUSNESS with ASSIGNMENT and BEING BUSY DOING SOMETHING. 

After Adam finished his assignment of naming the creatures, God was impressed so much that  Gen 2:20b made us to know that "But for Adam, no suitable helper was found". Mark the words 'suitable helper'. At this stage I asked myself "Who needs a suitable helper "?....i came up with this answer. 

He that needs a suitable helper, is that man who shows seriousness in any task given to him, who is always engaged with relevant and meaningful activities and ever ready to come up with impressive ideas and solutions. (A busy doing something man).

It will be a total deviation from truth or moral rectitude, if one thinks of helping someone who is not busy or who has got no vision or idea that needs development. Remember Heaven helps those that helps themselves. 

My fellow bachelors (smiles), it's high time we stopped pursuing shadows. You cannot put your hands inbetween your thighs and expect God to send you a suitable helper (life partner) , who will be a perfect match to you. 
What are you doing? 
What is your occupation? 
What are your reasonable inputs?
You must have something doing, before help is offered to you. 
You cannot be pursuing a sister around, seeking for her hand in marriage, when you know that you have nothing to take care of her eventually if she says yes. You don't expect her to come into your home and starts suffering, because that will be a total deviation from God's plan for you and her. (Psalm 37:25) 

Today, i challenge us to engage our minds and hands into things that are useful, which will justify our being busy carrying out our primary assignment and task like Adam.

Remember, 
*God must see your level of commitment, seriousness with your primary assignment/ task, before He will send you a suitable helper. 

*To engage yourself today with something useful and beneficial. 

*Work first/ carry our your assignment first ( know your reason of existence first) before thinking of a life partner.
